Not Worth the Calories 11/21/25

Dave talks about eating food that he says is not worth the calories.

Key one hundred with Dave Engine. The other day, you
were mailing out I believe tickets are something to winners. Yes,
you had envelopes, uh huh, and you licked one and
you said, wow.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I hate it.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
It's so gross. And by the way, we got new
envelopes and it's like growth, it's so bad.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
And I said, well, there are fifteen calories.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Yeah, I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
So here's the thing I read once years ago that
it was like fifteen calories when you lick an envelope,
which is ridiculous. It is pretty crazy to think about.
But it also did remind me of the other day.
Tracy was trying to get me to try something and
I said, I don't really, I don't really want it,
and she said, I just want you to try. I
think you'll like it. So I tried it. I was like, Nope,

(00:50):
that is not worth the calories. She's like, oh, it's
not that bad. I said, that is totally not the point. No,
I don't want to eat something that's not delicious.

Speaker 3 (01:02):
Exactly. If I know that, I'm like, gosh, you know,
I really shouldn't be eating this. But if it's so
good and I try it, I'm like, oh, oh no, no, no, no,
not gonna finish that. Not eating that, No, Cowery, it's
not worth the calories it's gonna be it's gonna show
up on my love handles anyway. So I'd rather enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I'm so sorry, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Only eats what's truly enjoyed.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Absolutely, I'm with you, Oh gosh, I can't. I'm with
you as an adult, but I have to talk to
my eleven year old who doesn't want to eat anything nutritious,
and so yeah, it's a little hard to tell her
that kind of stuff. So no, you do have to
eat vegetables and the good stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
And stuff that doesn't taste as great, but it's.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
Still good for you. Oh gosh. Yeah, this is a
catch twenty two over here.
