Speaker 1 (00:00):
I really do. That's right, Shenis I Love your Smile
nineties and nine key one hundred with Dave and Jen.
So last night I was helping Presley with her homework
and she actually this girl, I swear, She's like, yeah,
I only have like history homework. I'm like, okay, cool,
so I'll help you with that because she says it's
(00:22):
not my favorite subject. I'm not really good in it.
And you really helped me the last time. I was like, okay,
nice so and she she had funny enough, had math
homework and science homework as well. Didn't know that, okay.
I was like, my goodness, find it out. As we're working, right,
I'm like, girlfriend, no, so, but math homework. I was like, hoh,
you're gonna have to wait for Daddy to come back
downstairs because I don't know what to tell you. I
cannot help you with that. It will not be good. Okay. Yeah.
(00:44):
But so we're going through her history stuff and it's about,
you know, the creation of the Constitution and this is
after the Revolution and you know we we you know,
got George Washington in there as the first president all this,
so we're in that timeframe and it's asking several questions
her little study guide is and she's like, I mean,
I just don't know where to find these answers. I
(01:04):
was like, baby, it's like, you have highlighted several passages
in this book. She's like, yeah, because the teacher told
us too. I was like, well, maybe you start there.
I would think that's important. I would think you should
just read the highlighted passages and see what you can find.
And there, for the most part, she did find the answers. Now,
some of the answers were really kind of convoluted and
(01:24):
you had to find them right, okay, But then there
were parts where you saw literally a cartoon picture of
George Washington. It said, in big bold letters, George Washington,
and then the next one was John Adams, and then
the next one was the next president, and then it
just went like five different presidents deep, all in a row. Okay.
And so she said, see, this is the part that
I'm stuck on. It's asking for the first five presidents.
(01:46):
I don't know those. And I was like, okay, well,
let's take a look. So I started slipping back. I
was like, well, who's that, And she's like, oh, George Washington. Yeah,
he's the first president. I was like, okay, let's slip
the next page, like John Adams, Oh that's number two. Yeah,
there's in order, babe. I was like, this is why
you got to read. I said, you know, you really
have to actually focus and read everything. She's like, I
(02:08):
have to read the whole thing. I'm like, yeah, that's
why they give you the textbook. You gotta read the
whole thing to find the answer. Nate Bargatzi talking about
so many words you go to read, there's so many words.
That's basically what Presley was telling me last night. I
was like, maybe I don't know what to tell you,
but she did say. She was like, it's just not
easy for me to find the answers like this. But
(02:29):
then when it comes to math, you know, it just
like pops in her head so quick and easy. I
was like, baby, that's the difference between us. I said.
People learn at a very different rate. They learn in
different ways. I said, I'm great at the history part.
I said, clearly, you've got the math under control, so
come to me when you need help with the history.
But I'm not gonna I'm not gonna read it for you.
I'm going to point where you need to read you girlfriend.
(02:50):
All right. That is it for a home day, y'all.
Halfway through the work week there, I tell you what.
And Thanksgivings next week exactly. And it's going to be
a gorgeous, cold, rainy kind of gray day pretty much
like yesterday. Enjoy it without you know, all the rain,
(03:12):
which is good. That's a great thing. Oh, I have
a great day.
