Thanksgiving Fun at McDs 11/20/25

Dave talks about being invited to a fun Thanksgiving celebration at McDonalds.

I'm going to make you a little hungry in just
a moment.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm already hungry.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
But then also I'm going to make you a little perturbed.
And I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to. We'll
get that to that in a second.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
You know, you don't tell a woman I'm about to
make you mad.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Well, okay, here's the situation.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Let's hear it.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
My best bud Showpee invited me to the Flatwoods McDonald's
little family fun Friday get together that they do, and
I realize it was a Wednesday, but it was moved
this week and it was their big Thanksgiving celebration.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
And when I pulled on the lot at the flat
Flatwoods McDonald's, I see Mickey Triplett, who's the GM there,
and also Amber Baun he's the GM of the Olive
Hill McDonald's. They're out there deep frying up turkeys left
and right. And when I walk up on them, Mickey
has a whole of one of the turkeys, like over

the friar, and I'm like, oh my goodness, this is
so cool. But do you have to stand there the
whole time? And hold it in place.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
You'relious.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
I do, just have to lower it down in slowly
so it doesn't explode.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Exactly. That's the scariest thing.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
That's why I have never wanted to deep turkey or
watch someone deep prie turkey, because I've been scared to death.
Oh we're all about to die.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
We've seen and heard all the horror stories, and you
have got to do it the right way. Mickey has
got it down pat because let me tell you, I've
never put a better tasting turkey in my mouth, so tender, juicy,
like full of flavor, and oh my goodness, I had
dreams about it last night.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Okay, So so I go in and also found out,
by the way, Tom Wolf actually has the Hall of
Fame Cafe to cater sixteen of his McDonald's Thanksgiving meals.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
That's awesome, so cool, that's very cool.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
So I walk in and I meet Roxy Harris, who's
one of the employees there, says she loves us, listens
every single day. She's like, by the way, how did
you get here? I said, well, show you and I
we go way back.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, yeah, back in the day.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
We've been friends, best friends forever exactly and I'm just
here to hang out and try all your delicious food.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah, basically I'm just crashing the party.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
But that's that I was invited, Okay, So I swear.
I also got to meet Dave Chapman and Cindy Hamilton,
the other supervisors along with Showpie. And then I think
the only one that wasn't there was Wanda and I
know her.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
So then I got to try the famous Megan Lawson
banana pudding. Oh jim, oh my goodness. It was the
best I've ever eaten ever.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Oh my god, so good.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
I had heard all the stories about it, but now
I actually got to try it. And then you know,
I'm mentioned maybe taking a little bit home, you know,
so Tracy could try and everything, and she said, oh yeah.
So she hooked me up and I get to the
house and Tracy tries it. She's like, oh my goodness,
is so good. She's like jumping up and down as
she's eating by I was like, hey, you, I mean, would.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
You mind if maybe I'll take just a little piece,
just a little.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I'm just a few bites to gin so she can
try it too. I know she would really love it.
She was like, you can pry it from my cold,
yead heads.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
I don't blame you, sweet, no, no.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
No, no, she didn't.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Actually she was like, yeah you can, you can take
this little bit, but just a little bit, and then
who ate it? Well, nobody ate it? Where is it?
You know? My memory at the house, still in the
friend walked out forgot it.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Well, listen, you can eat that, don't bring it to Okay, okay,
still tomorrow left, it's still good. Okay, just makes her well,
I know, I don't know how long that lasts. I've
never made banana pudding.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
It's in a sealed container.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Okay, okay, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
That's the plan.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Well I am pumped. Okay, I'm not perturbed yet. See
that's what you never know a woman's reaction. So don't
tell her. Hey, you're going to be really mad about that.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Because I'm pumped.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I'm so excited for the banana pudding tomorrow, all right, Okay,
I didn't even know I was getting it, so yeah,
