The Great Shrimp Recall 08/20/25

Jenn talks about the current shrimp recall.

Do you know she has starting? If you follow her

and whatnot. Some of it just reminds me of the nineties,
and it's so awesome. I love it. I miss my
Britney Spears and my Christina out of the nineties. Oh,
I miss them. I miss the nineties really, I know.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I want to go back to it so much, such
a much simpler time.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It was because I didn't have bills yet.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Well I was, you know, I mean, there's that elementary
school you were kids.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Hey, hey, speaking of something you shouldn't spend your money on.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Okay? So the FDA has actually released an advisement not
to eat, sell, or serve certain imported frozen shrimp from
an Indonesian farm.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Oh goodness.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
So apparently there are certain frozen shrimp products that were
processed in Indonesia and sold at Walmart stores.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
And it is the Great Value brand Frozen Shrimp, and
it says frozen raw shrimp and these were sold in
it looks like thirteen different states, including West Virginia, Kentucky,
and Ohio.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
So I'm just mentioning because listen, I love me some shrimp,
Don't get me wrong. I've bought the shrimp from Walmart
tons of times. Okay, but it seems like this lot
that is out now, it's not good. It very well
could be contaminated with radioactive material. Yeah, yeah, that's not great.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
So we usually don't buy shrimp from the store to
make at home. If we're getting shrimp, it's usually out
like a restaurant.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
Okay, you don't ever get like a shrimp cocktail trade. Man,
those things are off news. I love those things.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Well, Tracy doesn't like shrimp at all. Ah, the kids
and I we do like it, but again, restaurant, we
leave it to the professionals.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Well I understand, but I love me from shrimp, but
I'm really sad about them. I will say I had
Presley try shrimp a couple of years ago because she,
you know, she was picky about food. She's still kind
of picky about food. So but I asked her to
try shrimp a couple of years ago, and she did
with cocktail sauce, and she was like, it's actually really good.
I was like, okay, and she tried another, and she's like,

I do like it. It tastes great, but the look
of it's just making me sick, so I'm not going
to eat it anymore.
