To Speed Up or To Slow Down, That is the Question 12/10/25

Dave talks about his wife Tracy's thoughts on caution traffic lights.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Key One with Dave and Jin. Tracy Jackson and I
were driving through town there in ironton yesterday evening and
we are approaching a stop light. The stoplight is going
from green to yellow okay, and Tracy says, hold on,

(00:27):
hold on, yeah, exactly, she's gonna make that light red.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Okay. I started saying, because usually when I'm well narrow's
the yellow light. Leo says, slow down, but Daddy says, no, honey,
Mommy thinks that means speed up.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Very interesting conversation you had there, because that's pretty much
exactly what went down in my car. Because Jackson says,
as we're going through that red light and Tracy has
sped up, he says, missus Kurns was just talking about
how yellow lights mean slow down, not speed up. And

(01:06):
he's saying this as Tracy is speeding up a second time,
going through a second yellow light. Word. So we are
all three rolling.

Speaker 3 (01:17):

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Listen. Half the time. I am like, oh my gosh,
I'm not getting stuck at every single flip and light.
That's why I hate taking Fifth Avenue. I stopped taking
Fifth Avenue.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Because of all the stop lights, every single light.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
And actually that's why they took out all the stop
lights on Winchester Avenue and Ashland put in all the roundabouts, right,
traffic moving?

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yeah, maybe hello, don't you dare?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Maybe that's what needs to happen on Fifth Avenue.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Dude. Take it from a person who has never driven
I sixty four without construction. Yeah, you don't want him
to start a project. Yeah, it will never stop. They
will continue to do it. They'll be making something knew
every moment.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Think about all the fun roundabouts.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
You have, Think about all the accident Do you remember
that one video? It was a meteorologist are in Huntington
who was doing a report and they had the Ashland
camera focusing on one of the roundabouts and some person
just drove straight over the middle of it. Thout they
didn't go around the part at all, Right, whip right over.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
It takes a little learning curve, there's a rain curve.
It takes some time to learn how to properly use
the roundabout. But I mean once you get it, it's
pretty great.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Listen, there's a learning curve with learning how to drive too,
that's right. And then people decide to take matters into
their own hands.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Speed up through a yellow light, all right, battle on
the way at seven forty, and I'll tell you what.
