Speaker 1 (00:00):
Key one hundred with Dave and Jin.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
You know, Tyler is away at college University of Pikeville. Yes,
over the weekend we got to talk to him a
little bit. He actually came in town, spent the night
and went to church with us nice on Sunday boarding,
which is great, and he got to tell us a
little bit about his first touchdown catch.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Oh man, at you Pike.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
It was during an inner squad scrimmage and it was
towards the end of the scrimmage, like one of the
last plays, and he catches a pass, breaks his tackle,
takes it fifty yards for a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
That'll be good, he said.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
The whole offense was like super hype for him, jumping
up and down, pretty exciting, and you know that's always
a proud moment. Yeah, told Tracy, I was like, oh
my goodness, I hate we couldn't be there.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
It would have been so cool to see.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Well yeah, but you know that was a scrimmage too,
so you hadn't planned to be there for that, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
And there's going to be more opportunities in the future.
You know, Next Saturday is his first game. That's going
to be at Georgetown in the Lexington area a couple
of hours.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Well, and you know we'll probably be able to go
to that, okay, which is pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So he's doing great in college, you know, doing his things,
saying super busy. They keep him busy till almost eleven
o'clock at night, like every night.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
That's ridiculous, up early every morning.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Soying to say, what was his first class of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Do you know, Well, classes don't begin until this coming Monday.
Oh okay, so I'm sure eight o'clock ish, and then
you know he'll have team lifts, he'll have meetings, and
still football practice and all that.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
So do you have to work your schedule, like your
school schedule around all of this stuff for football?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
Well they do that, but yes they do that. The
coaching staff works it all around.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
So do they really you know, the team can do
all the things they need to do and still go
to class.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
So that's why they could possibly like stick him with
an eight o'clock class like in the morning.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Yeah yeah, Oh that's oh.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Man, Because you know, I remember going to school and
obviously I did nothing sporty, okay, and so I remember
thinking to myself like, okay, well I've got to schedule
these classes, and I just assumed, since I had done
it for so many years, Oh well, I'll do an
eight am class.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
No big deal.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
I've been up this many years, how long?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Come on, No big deal.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
No, WOA College is way different. If you don't have
to have an eight am class, you don't make an
eight am.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I remember having like a ten o'clock class and then
not having to go back to like I don't know,
three or something.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Really, I'll go to that early class. I go home,
taken out, take it out, and then too.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
You know.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Oh man.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
But there are several other local kids who are at
Pikeville there on the football team as well. Trevor Carter,
Ty Perkins, Nick Sites all former Ironton players, which is
super cool.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
From Fairland.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
You got Quentin Cremeen's from Boyd County, Red Holbrook, so
he's got you some people.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
There that he knows. Yes, local teammates and super cool.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
They're gonna make such great friend you know, it'll memories.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yes, absolutely, this is really cool. Absolutely nice
