tell you about a fun conversation I had with our
good pal coworker, chief engineer, mister Scott Hinsley. Oh lord, yesterday.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
He was holding a styrofoam container in his hand, and
I could see a receipt, and I could see he
was kind of, you know, not super happy about some
kind of a situation. I didn't know if somebody messed
his food up or whatever. But he was showing us
his breakfast container from the morning and he said, now,

(00:38):
when I ordered this, they told me the total was
eight dollars and two cents. He said, so I had
exact change when I pulled up to the window, only
to find out the price had changed. Now it was
seven twenty two, and he said, I thought it was
eight oh two. And she said, well, I gave you
the senior.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Discount first of all, saved money.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Right. Was not happy. I bet he wasn't, okay, And
I said, oh, my wife would be so happy she
got the discount. He says, I don't know about that.
I said, what do you mean? He said, let them
give it to her the first time without her asking
for it. And then let's see if she likes it

or not. He can't, he said, because you know, obviously
they see you.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
They see you, they're like, they look seasoned. If you will,
Here's the thing I and I have.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I didn't get to have this conversation with Tracy last night.
I still think she's happy about saving money.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I heard to say. I I personally I know Tracy
very well.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Yes, she's very frugal.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I believe it doesn't matter right. She would absolutely take
any discount whether they said you look old or not.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I don't care give. I just want to pay you
very a very small amount exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah, if you can top on all the discounts exactly.
You know I have anxiety. Does that help? But like
you need to cut that off? Ups Like, I don't know.
I mean I would take every discount, Okay, I don't
think I would be upset, but then again, I don't know.
Now I haven't been carted quite a bit. H you
know at restaurant.

Does that bother you?

Speaker 2 (02:21):
No, not at all. I'm like, hot dog, give me
my drink. I don't pair and I and you know,
sometimes you kind of get like, oh, I have to
take out my wallet blah blah blah. You know it
kind of frustrates you, right yeah, But I guess when
you get older, you want people to ask you like,
oh can I see your ideas? And then you're like, oh, oh,
you're so sweet, And if.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
You're on the younger side, you get annoyed.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Right listen, I'm taking whatever discount I can get. If
you can give me that senior discount, now, I'll be like, yep,
I've just got an amazing skin carriage.

Speaker 1 (02:52):

asked for a discount just the other day. They gave
me a senior discounts. Super good. I love that Battle
