Oh yes, I saw Seacrest.

Guys.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, it was a fireside chat and it was with
some of the big advertisers and Seacrest on stage with
our CEO, Bob Pittman, and they did a Q and
A and I met some of the you know the
big iHeart you know, sponsors, and it was kind of
a mixer and it was it was interesting that Delilah.
Have you ever been? Did the Delilah the club in

(00:50):
West Hollywood? That's the original?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Okay no, yeah no?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
And it did so well that they opened in Vegas.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
I love the Vegas one.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, it's so like well done well. Everything in Vegas
is always bigger, and it's at.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
The wind so it's really fancy.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
That's where lionel Verchie likes to go after hours. He
has his own table and he'll only stay at the
Wind and he gets delight every time he's there. He
gets Delilah. He gets that table reserved the whole night,
like even for the time they open. It's his. It's
almost like he owns the table.

Speaker 6 (01:25):
Who their Cadillac Margarita's are all right, sounds pretty kiss.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
But it was at Delilah and Who which is not
quite as nice as the one at the Wind, but
it was. It was nice and I actually I had
a day drink good for your Yeah, yeah, I liked it.

You wake up, you turn it on. There we are.
I found out to it blew my mind.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Bluetooth is named after a king, a Scandinavian king named
Harold Bluetooth. What so he lived in the tenth century Harold,
They spell it h a r Ald Harold Bluetooth. He
united Danish tribes into one kingdom. So when bluetooth technology

(02:56):
was invented, they picked the name because it unified the
way machine communicated.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Fascinating, isn't that amazing?

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, Harold, thank you, thanks for uniting Danish tribes.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I wonder why they called him Bluetooth.

Speaker 9 (03:10):
They named people very literally back then, like if your
last name is Miller, you were you were literally a Miller.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Did he have a bluetooth?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah, he probably one of his teeth was just shaking.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I mean, tenth century. I don't think dentists were invented here.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It's had a blue tooth.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
This blew my mind too. Whenever Calvin's at home or
we're with him, and I'm just walking around and doing things.
And he can, like say, he's in his room and
he can hear me in the hallway going in the
hall closet, or you know, walking upstairs, downstairs, whatever it is.
He always says, Mom, what's up? And I said, I'm
just puttering. I've been saying it all of his life.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Where did you get that?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Where did you puttering? I must have gotten it from
my mom. Puttering just it sounds like aimless wandering, But
what it is is just you're doing things. So like
I'm I'm putting socks together, or I'm putting the folded
sheets in the hall closet, these kinds of things, replacing
a light bulb. I'm puttering, And.

Speaker 9 (04:06):
It doesn't really there's no like timeline. It's just if
you're doing what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
Sometimes you're puttering and you see something that makes you
go off your puddle. Yes, the diverts right, So, yeah,
you like to putter. I love to butter, Darley, It's
my favorite thing, it is, right.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Yeah, wearing a rope makes it feel even more puddy.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yes, it's like puttering on steroids.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Puttering. I think puttering is just really good for I
always feel so good when I putter. Well, I found
out that Jeff Bezos also loves to putter.

Speaker 10 (04:40):
I get up early. I like to putter in the morning,
so I like to read the newspaper. I like to
have coffee. I like to have practice with my kids
before they go to school. So I have my kind
of puttering. Time is very important to me.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Well me too, I didn't know that other people puttering
so happy. Let's butter okay, and.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
She's naked my day.

Speaker 9 (05:02):
She's Ellen Okay, Kay, Ell okay, okay, Nana Ellen kay.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
And coming up your your cash on coast one thousand
dollars plus. We're going inside entertainment, all right. Wink Martindale,
he was a rock and roll DJ. His roots were
what we do. He's passed at the age of ninety one.

the Warner Brothers studios. We come into the dark. We

It's such a classic lot. I love Warner Brothers, the
Home of Friends and so many great shows. And Warner
Brothers Studio will have the two most popular films this weekend.

(06:19):
A Minecraft movie is a Warner Brothers movie, and it
will be challenged by Sinners, starring Hailey Steinfeld, son of
a daughter of body by Jake and Josh Allen's fiance
and Michael B. Jordan, who plays Jewel Rose roles of
twin bootlakers during probation prohibition fighting vampires. So it's kind
of got that sci fi horror film thing, but it's

(06:41):
getting great reviews. So Sinners is Michael B. Jordan. He
plays both twins. He plays the twins.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
That's cool to play both.

Speaker 12 (06:48):
Yeah.

You knew him or know him?

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yes, he was friends with Rick D's. He is friends
with Rick D's. He also wants to run for governor.
So if you remember back in the nineties, Body By
Jake was the thing, and that is his daughter, Hailey Steinfeld,
one of the nicest starlets you will ever meet. All
Right tonight on Netflix, Everybody's Live with John Mulaney. It's

(07:26):
so good, it's truly live streaming on Netflix. David Letterman
will be on, also Nicky Glazer and Randy Newman. The
show streams at seven Pacific time. Soccer stud Lionel Messi
finally met the person he was named after, Lionel Richie.
So Lionel Richie instagram their meeting last week. When Messi's
Miami team played La and Messi scored two goals in

(07:48):
the victory. They met after the game. They were hugging anyway.
Lionel Messi was named after Lionel Richie. So I'm wondering
if it was all night long playing when his parents
made Lionel Messy.

Speaker 3 (08:02):
And if you're Lionel.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Ritchie, you probably meet a lot of people that were
made to your song.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Anyone named Lionel. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
And this is finally going to open Travis Kelcey and
Patrick Mahomes steakhouse. It's going to be called fifteen eighty
seven Prime anyway. They're opening it in Kansas City, but
it's supposed to go wide.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I love that they're numbers together. That's so cool.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Isn't that great?

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Cool?

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Yeah, So that's gonna be a fun one, all right,
wink Martin Dale. This is Gambit. It's a game show.
They would give away ten thousand dollars at a time.
It was Giant playing cards and he was the host.
Think way back right. I never never grew up watching
Gambit or Tic Tac Dough. He hosted those.

Speaker 9 (08:49):
Yeah, and they don't they don't replay them on GSN
like the other they should.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
They should run back.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
I wonder if it's like an ownership thing. Your dad
is super into game show reruns.

Speaker 2 (08:59):

I don't like it, but once I get there, I
love it.

Speaker 9 (11:51):
Okay, So this new study finds that you don't have
to work out to make a major difference in your health.
This is crazy, and it might like one of the
dumbestacks ever. Even five minutes of a day of doing
things just fast makes a big difference. So like vacuuming
a rug, just speed, vacuum the rug, you take it
out the trash, take it out quick walk quick. So

(12:12):
a journal called Circulation study twenty five thousand adults for
a week, none of whom work out.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 9 (12:19):
After a year, those who did minor tasks briskly saw
major health benefits years later. For some of their heart
attack and stroke risk dropped by half just by like
walking faster and doing things quick.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
That's so crazy.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
So whatever you do, do it fast like daft Punk, says.

Good morning to you fighting through some cloud cover today.
We're can have a sun later on. And Arlene wrote
this letter and thank you for your letters. Go to
Coast one of three five tap the envelope you're in
give so many great ones. Dear Ellen. I have two
kids with my amazing husband, Danny. He's the best. A
local boy who grew up in Hawaiian gardens. He has

(14:11):
two brothers and his parents still live in the same
house where the boys were raised. We just moved into
our new house in Torrance. We've been living in a
condo and I'm so excited. I've been really looking forward
to hosting the family Easter gathering this weekend. It's always
big and fun and I am ready. I invited the
entire family on paperless post and I home goods the house,

(14:32):
big time Easter style.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
Oh fun, that is fun our Late.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Moments after sending the Someboddy loves You invite, my mother
in law called me and said, not so fast. Easter
brunch is and always has been her thing. I asked
her why she didn't bring it up earlier. We'd had planning,
we had been talking about it. She said, she just
can't allow me to host and not to change the
family tradition. Please too late. My husband said, let his

(15:01):
mom host, no worries, but he doesn't understand how badly
my feelings are hurt. For once I was excited to
invite all of our friends and family over to our
new place. She said, bring the food, bring the friends,
bring the decorations. I can host another gathering sometime. Easter
is hers help Arlene. All right, Arlene, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (15:22):
I think that.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
You shouldn't stick your feet in the ground on this one.
So just back down, I think, back down.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Don't make it a think?

Speaker 12 (15:33):
Is that we not? Well?

Speaker 5 (15:34):
No?

Speaker 9 (15:35):
I how so, Arlene didn't seem very assertive to say
before she sent out the invites and home goods the house.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
She didn't seem assertive and saying, look, I'm doing this.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
But she said that that they had had planning meetings.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
Well then okay, then the mother in law should have
spoken up way sooner. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
What a mess? Yeah, what a mess. I've been really
looking forward to hosting the family Easter gathering this weekend.
I invited the entire family on paperless post. Moments after
sending the somebody Loves You invite, my mother in law
called me and said, not so fast. Easter brunch asn't
always has been her thing? Well, why didn't she bring
it up earlier? Shit, she just can't allow me to host.
She wants the family tradition to continue, so she's digging

(16:15):
into But it's always been this way. And here's another thing.
If it's always been that way, maybe our lean should
have picked a different holidaykes yes, or birthday or house
warming party.

Speaker 6 (16:27):
Yep, it's too late to be sending these somebody invites
at this point, days before.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
I think that's where she loses.

Speaker 4 (16:36):
Okay, what if she wants to start a new tradition
and host her own parties and you know, kind of
keep it to their family.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Now, well, there's something nostalgic and I think great about
being in your childhood home with your brothers and their families. Yeah,
and especially if you've done it every year. I don't
know that they've always had their condos, so they didn't
think about hosting. But I think that Look, she's excited
about her new house, make a housewarming, make it special?

Speaker 9 (17:02):
Yeah, or and depending on how far did she mention
how far they are apart from the mother.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Their distances and the mother in law is in Hawaiian?

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Okay, can we do? Can we do like a hey, okay,
we're gonna do brunch here? All good? Can we just
at least do dessert and a drink at our house?

Of the hour, Good morning of ellen K. And as
we get closer to the twenty twenty eighth Summer Games,
things are coming together. The LA twenty eight Committee released
a newly approved list of venues set to host specific
events across the Southland. From the Supubla Basin Recreation Area,
we get three on three basketball there, plus VMX and
skateboarding to squash in the Universal Studios Lot, to boxing

(22:42):
inside Peacock Theater at LA Live and more baseball of
course where else Dodger Stadium and Time has released their
list of the one hundred most influential people on the
planet right now. Mark Zuckerberg is on that list, Shonda Rhimes,
Lord Michaels, just a few more of the entertainment category,
Adrian Brody, Demi Moore, Scarlet Johanson. You get your Christian

(23:04):
wig and Rashida Jones. As we mentioned Nicki Glazer, Snoop Dogg,
Ed Sharon, and David Mure. So many more on that list.
And someone who's not on that list is Jeff Bezos.
He mikesed the Forbes list all the time, but not
this list this time. But he does something every day
and he says, if you want to have success in
your life, you need to learn how to putter.

Speaker 10 (23:28):
I get up early. I like to potter in the morning,
so I like to read the newspaper. I like to
have coffee. I like to have breakfast with my kids
before they go to school, so I have my kind
of puttering. Time is very important to me.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, thank you, Jeff Bezos. Putter brother from another mother,
And another great day out the gates. Slight chance of drizzle.

point five.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
The ellen K Morning Show, and every Monday and Wednesday
we read your letters to Ellen.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
To Ellen for advice, because she's seen a thing or two.

Speaker 5 (24:34):
She is Ellen.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Okay, it goes like this, Dear Ellen. I have two
kids with my amazing husband, Danny. He's the best. A
local boy who grew up in Hawaiian Gardens. He has
two brothers, and his parents still live in that same
house where the boys were raised. That's really cool. I
what a great community to have some friends that live there.
We just moved into our new house in Torrance, and

(24:58):
I've been really looking forward to hosting the family Easter
gathering this weekend. I invited the entire family on paperless
post and then I went to Home Goods and Home
goods the house, big time Easter style fun. Ah yeah.
Moments after sending these, somebody loves you invite. I love
that you can choose, like your little things. My mother

(25:19):
in law called and said, not so fast. Easter brunch
is and always has been her thing. So it's a
family tradition. I asked her why she didn't bring it
up earlier. She said, she just can't allow me to host,
and not to change the family tradition. Please too late,
my husband said, let his mom host, no worries. They've
always done this, They grew up this way. We've been

(25:40):
to countless Easters. Every Easter we're there. But he doesn't
understand how badly my feelings are hurt. For once I
was excited to invite all of our friends and family
over to our new home. She said, go ahead, bring
the food, decorations, invite your friends that I could host
another gathering, Please help Arleen. So Arlene's just anxious to

(26:02):
show off her new house, of course.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
As she should be. But there was definitely a hiccup
in the communication chain somewhere. Yes, they didn't. They weren't clear.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I say, stay with tradition.

Speaker 6 (26:10):
Arlene lost In my book, it's way too late to
plant it the week of Easter and just have like
another spring party at your house, like a spring house
warming party.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Yes, make it fresh. Don't step on your mother in
law's toes. And it's obviously so important to her, She's
always done it. I would love to be able to
go to my mom's, but let's go to Liz and
Santa Clarita. You have thoughts.

Speaker 8 (26:38):
I feel that they should spend the holidays with the
in laws. I think they should prioritize that it's a
family tradition that they have and they want to keep
that family tradition so when they have kids, or if
they have kids, so that they can grow with that
tradition and have that bond with the in laws.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Yes, I can feel Arlene's excitement about the new house,
and it's always fun to decorate and you know, have
that special food. But you know, my mother and father
are now in heaven, and what I would give to
be able to go.

Speaker 9 (27:10):
Right.

Speaker 8 (27:10):
That's what I was saying that when you lose a
loved one, the only way you keep their third of
live is by talking about them. But it makes it
a stronger bond. When you create these memories. Sure, having
a new house is a huge blessing and it should
be celebrated. But Easter is a completely different celebration and
it should be celebrated with the family. Keep those traditions.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Yeah, I always has possess.

Speaker 12 (27:31):
Thank you, Liz, Thank you so much.

Speaker 8 (27:34):
You guys have a wonderful day.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
You too, and thanks for listening. Thanks for having a song.

Speaker 8 (27:39):
Of course, I love you guys, We love you back.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
All right, what should Arlene do?

Speaker 2 (27:43):
So far?

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Everyone's siding with mommy in law.

Speaker 9 (27:46):
I will say mommy in law could be a little gentler.
She doesn't need to respond not so fast.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
I mean she should have called her son.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, son going to be in trouble
for siding with his mom. Is that friction at home?

Speaker 12 (28:04):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (28:04):
Probably probably? But yeah probably. But the three brothers. Do
you get those three guys from Hawaiian Gardens together? You
don't have a chance. Eight hundred ninety nine kost Cash

We got your letter to Ellen and this one's just
all about Easter, Like, what are you going to be doing?
For Easter? Do you celebrate it going to be with
family and be at a brunch whatever it is. Our
letter came from Arlene and her husband, Danny's great. Everything's great.
They grew up in Hawaiian gar Danny and and Arlene

(30:04):
just bought a house in Torrance and she wants to
host Eastern Danny's mother wants to do it because she
always has family tradition. So I don't know, I feel
like it went too far with Arlene. She sent the
paperless post invites and then the mother in law called
her up the minute she got and said, not so fast,

(30:25):
it's at my house. And Ryan, you pointed that out.
That was kind of like a that was a little aggressive.

Speaker 9 (30:31):
Yeah, we could have softened the response, Yeah, while still
making your point that, look, we've always done it here. Yeah,
you know you don't need to come in and come
into a.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
Hawk, right.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Yeah, but it's always been this way. And Lynnette, thank
you so much for calling. You heard the letter. What
do you think? Good morning guys?

Speaker 14 (30:48):
Well, you know what I'm just saying. Yeah, people just
complicate their lives a little too much. Why wouldn't she
just have this conversation with her mother in law before
it went down and say, you know what, I'm buy
the new house. Can we just do it in my
house one year, just to celebrate the house. And we
can do it, you know, and just had that.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
Conversation right instead of sending out the invites and then
you know, writing.

Speaker 7 (31:12):
A letter to Ellen invite at the last minute. No,
Bunny invite, No, no, you don't do that.

Speaker 8 (31:22):
You don't miss with the mother in law.

Speaker 14 (31:23):
That's a bad deal.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
Bad deal.

Speaker 11 (31:34):
Do bye Loving the ellen K Morning Show. Make us

Stories Copy Hour, Good Morning, I'm ellen K and uh
Geene and Betsy Hackman had been lay to rest. The
couple who were found dead in their Santa Fe home
February twenty six were also remembered in a memorial by
family and close friends. And what about this? Every spring,
millions of people have tuned into a round the clock
live stream of moose on the move in northern Sweden.

(32:01):
The Great Moose Migration tracks the animals as they swim
across the Angriman River and make their annual journey toward
greener summer pastures. More than thirty cameras are used to
capture the moose as they move through these landscapes. Nine
million viewers and the country only has ten million people.
But it is addictive, the moose migration. We're going to
give you all your quadrants if you want to follow along.

(32:25):
And what about this. There's a new wearable AI system
that uses visual, audio and haptic signals to help blind
and partially cited people navigate obstacles. The walking distance and
navigation time improved by twenty five percent compared to using
an old fashioned cane. And the best mall town in
the West has just been crowned by USA today and
it's right here in California. It is Solving, the walkable

(32:47):
town in the heart of Santa Barbara County, earning high
praise for its family and dog friendliness. Danish American vibe
architecture boutiques are so gourmet restaurants and fairytale like gift
shops wait to go solving. And we do have highs
around sixty five today. We're told this pattern is going
to hold here for a few more days before a
weekend warm up. All across the board highes up to

(33:09):
about sixty or sixty five and it is sixty in Burbank.
We run on Celsia's Energy Drinks KOSG Los Angeles. It's

and he has passed from this world, but he'll be
remembered from his game shows. Anyone ever play or watch
Gambit as a giant cards. I love the music. I
think that Wink and this music was way ahead of
its time. It's Happy eight theme.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Yeah so good, yeah, so a bit.

Speaker 9 (33:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (33:58):

Speaker 9 (34:25):

Speaker 8 (35:04):
It is not.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
I'll tell you why you should know this, why you
were on it.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Oh, I know this Hollywood Square who Baldwin, yeah, and

Speaker 3 (35:20):

Speaker 1 (35:42):
So, uh, I know a lot of couples who've met
on Hinge and have married and are very very happy.
But there's one woman who went on Hinge and she
put a list out. It was kind of the dear
future husband, here's the bare minimums you must have if
I'm going to see you, damn future husband. He is
a building June needs to know my one and only

(36:06):
a lot eighteen point list loves me deeply, puts me first. Oh,
you must make three hundred thousand dollars a year or more. Okay,
I need a maid.

Speaker 2 (36:21):
Throwing a chef.

Speaker 1 (36:23):
You better like fine dining and travel. And you must
be fit, attractive and well groomed, chivalrous, protective, ambitious and disciplined, sophisticated.
And you must enjoy luxury. Gotta be generous. You have
to spoil me, take control, snipe, make all the plans.

(36:47):
You better keep your word supports my goals and my lifestyle.
I need you, on top of all that to me
to be fun, outgoing and socially respected. And you must
prefer privacy over social media.

Speaker 9 (37:10):
So someone who posted this on social media also what goals?
What do you bring to the table?

Speaker 5 (37:16):
Right?

Speaker 2 (37:17):
No, I'm serious, that's offensive to a man.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
What do you do?

Speaker 7 (37:21):
It's the l and K Morning Show. We listen and
we don't judge post one oh three point bos smash

the Ravine six to the final Jackie Robinson Night, every
player wearing number forty two, and they go for the
sweep tonight seven ten start. Of course, you listen to
our freeheart radio app. They say seventy LA Sports, but
go Dodgers. The Rockies are the worst team in the league,

(37:52):
so we should be sweeping them, right right.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Yeah, they've only won three games. They won't win sort.

Speaker 11 (37:56):
It's the l ANDK Morning Shows Doctor share with you
all week and on weekends.

Speaker 7 (38:02):
See it's a bit of a Workaholico Way three point five.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Thanks for spending your morning with us here on the
L and K Morning Show. We want you to think
about this throughout the day while you're listening to Coast
to a three point five. What are your minimum requirements
like seriously for a friend or for a maid, or
you know, even for a.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
Boss or a job.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Because we all have our standards, and this list went
viral on Hinge Bare minimum for a husband to checklist.
And although these are I find them obnoxious, you know,
private chef and all these other things I made, you know,
a lot of materialistic things on this list for minimum
requirements but but like, what would those things be if

(38:46):
you put together a list of minimum requirements? Like one
of the things that I love about my husband is
that he he makes me laugh a lot. Darning know
the same as for you your husband is he's always
making you laugh.

Speaker 6 (38:58):
And you have to laugh through life like life is
not easy. Yeah, I want some like my minimum requirement
would be somebody fun.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
Yes, fun funny Ryan, what's your minimum requires at.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
This point, Ellen, I don't know. Being alive, I guess
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Producer Mike, do you have a minimum?

Speaker 5 (39:17):
I do?

Speaker 4 (39:17):
I say, if they make your life better in any way,
then that's it.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
That's requiring. All right, minimum requires something that we want
to talk about it tomorrow. Letty Be is next in
for Kerry Steel and of course Disneyland after dark, all
throughout the day, all right, every show with a quote
and a kiss sorry, with a positive attitude, you can
be anything you want to be. That is said by

(39:41):
Selena Kit Happy Heavenly Birthday, Kiss on three, Kiss on
me wenty three. I'm just died.

Speaker 12 (39:52):
It must have done something you said, just die
