Speaker 1 (00:10):

at six eight and twenty four seconds.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
Yeah, speaking.
Speaker 1 (00:19):

So Anthony Amaradi is the French pole vaulter who whose
(00:41):
leg hit the poll you know, the bar. But they
were saying that it was his package. Actually now there's
a porn site that wants to offer him two hundred
and fifty thousand dollars so that we can all see it.
They want to show the world, Oh like what Anthony's
made of? Have they said?
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Is it just like a one time thing? Does you
have to do anything with it?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I don't know. I didn't. I didn't dig into the details,
but I will. Yeah, they went ex civity. Okay, so yeah,
it was the only deal I think show the world. Yeah.
So that that was a huge trending top story. And
my son, Calvin and his girlfriend Arabella made us dinner
(01:24):
last night. Calvin has never cooked fish before in his life.
They went to the farmer's market at the grove. They
bought the most gorgeous salmon and then cut it up
in four pieces. They bought this produce. She made a
corn and fed a salad with arugula and fingerling potatoes roasted.
(01:47):
I was like, what, So I set the table really nice.
We pulled out dishes we never used from my husband's
aunt and the silver that she gave us, and they
cooked and barbecued and it was great. And then they
went to the Dodger game. So Arabella is from New
York's from Brooklyn, And I said, you need to be
a Dodger fan because the Dodgers came from Brooklyn. And
(02:08):
she said, my dad would kill me. He's a Yankees fan. Oh,
and you grew up in a baseball family, Ryan, you
know you do not cross lines.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
You don't.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
And a lot of times I'll be asked here like, hey,
you know we partner with the Dodgers, and they're like,
will you wear this Dodger jersey?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I can't do it, I know you, it would burn me.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Well, so Arabella didn't have anything Dodger to wear, so
I pulled out my stuff. She put on a blue
Dodger cap and my show Hay jersey and they went
and show Hey of course, you know, putting on the show.
And she was jumping up and down, screaming, yelling for show.
Had Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Cool, so cool.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
But they also got to see the standing ovation for
Freddie Freeman. Yeah, really meaningfully returning to that standing ovation,
giving a tearful update on his three year old son
Gionne Barr syndrome, which literally paralyzes the body and everything
starts to shut down. He was in the IC. Freddy
gave a tearful press conference after the game.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
I think a lot of our parents in here seeing
one of your kids then later fighting. It was hard.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, Freddy, we love you, Freddy Freeman. He's going to
take part in our CHLA giving Tuesday this year. Yeah,
so three year old son Max is doing better. He said,
Max's personality is back. So we love you, Freddy Freeman.
And that was a really I thought a really great
game for a Brooklyn girl to go to to. Now
(03:39):
just get immersed in our family question, Sir La family,
all right, coming up a Snoop dog. Everywhere he goes,
everyone's asking him, what is that perfume you're wearing? He
finally tells us.

It's called the Lena. It's a scent from a French brand,
Perfumes de Marli. It's an extremely florable que, highly coveted,
and everywhere he goes people ask him. It's kind of

a paeony smell, leachy, rhubarb, bergamo and nutmeg. Also a
little vanilla at the base. So everyone's stopping him saying

after they left and said, your tab has been completely
paid for as a random act of kindness. And I'm

the attraction replacing Splash Mountain. Also a potential renovation of
Tomorrowland that's going to be so cool. Our very own
(18:53):
Nick Paul Jochani will be checking in live with updates
from the convention floor. All right, Today, three airplane sized
asteroids will be shooting by our planet, according to JPL
the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The first is eighty four feet,
the second one is one hundred and ten foot space rock,
and then one hundred and forty that's not all. On Saturday,
a building sized asteroid, if six hundred feet, is going
(19:16):
to soar by. This is millions of miles away. They
just say it's the closest that any have come. These
current events are rolling out the red carpet for a
projectile that's had NASA sweating for some time. Another asteroid
could one day come super close to Earth in twenty
twenty nine, we'll expecting an uncomfortably tight flyby, close enough
that we could see it with our own eyes and
(19:36):
no telescopic gear. But for today, they're flying by, they're
far away, we won't hear your hear and we're see them.
And teen boys all seem to want a broccoli haircut,
So what is that? It's so named for us closely
shaved sides, and it's curly abundance up top. And if
you are a teen boy and you have the broccoli,
I'll set us a pack here at coast one oh
three five. Everyone's at rocking them and a lot of
(19:59):
boys perming their hair. They don't have naturally curly hair.
The broccoli air cut. It's everywhere, and it's weird to
say we're cooler today. Hi's one hundred and three, But
that is the story. We're going to cool down just
a little bit tomorrow. We'll have nineties the rest of
the week. But today Santa Clarita one hundred and three Sunland,
you'll see one hundred and it is seventy three in Burbank.

Speaker 8 (20:34):

Speaker 7 (20:36):
Coast one oh three point five coming up.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
We're sending you to Vegas to our iHeartRadio Music Festival.
We're gonna pamper you while you're there to keep it here,
to win that. All right, Let's go to Paris. Let's
go all right, I wish it was real. Let's go
to Perrol Gosh Snoop Dogg is making five hundred thousand
dollars a day with his commentating and Simone Biles her
(21:02):
work is done. She made the most of her time
in Paris, the most decorated gymnast of all time, with
eleven total eleven medals, including seven gold. She's also the
oldest American gymnast to win a gold medal at twenty seven.
With a remarkable comeback, now, Simone Biles rising is on Netflix.
I dove in. I highly recommend it. She explains what
(21:22):
happened to her in Tokyo four years ago, and when
you hear her, you realize that if you ever judged
her for dropping out, you'll rethink it, because she said
she was getting all these opinions and a lot of
h word hey yeah online and she said, you know, wow,
it's really hard to read that while you write that
(21:44):
sitting at home watching me. So I thought, wow, that's
really that's so true. Right, you can't judge. But will
she come here to LA in four years? I don't know,
but she's talking about what she just did.
Speaker 9 (21:57):
No, I've accomplished way more than in my wildest dreams,
not just at the Olympics but in the sport. So
I can't be mad at my performances. A couple of
years ago, I didn't think i'd be back here at
an Olympic Games. So competing and then walking away with
four medals, I'm not mad about it. I'm pretty proud
of myself and it's always so exciting to compete.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
And yeah, yeah, she's got this big closet that she
opens for you. In Simone Biles rising, I'm not going
to tell you what's in the closet, but if you
watch it on Netflix you'll go, oh what. And Tom
Cruise will be part of the closing ceremonies. Made him
a little mission Olympic mashup, Olympic impossible. We call it
(22:51):
coming up. You can be a winner too to our
iHeartRadio Music Festival, just to had your chance to win.
You're you're gonna stay there. You get a gas card
for the road. Keep it here to win that The.

Five Top Stories top of the hour. A good morning,
I'm Ellen Kay. And there's renewed talk that the federal
investigation into the hot tap death of Matthew Perry is
nearing its conclusion. Multiple people may be charged for providing
the Friends actor with a lethal dose of ketamine. Detectives
from the DEA and US Postal Inspectors have been on
the hunt for Matthew's killer. Six weeks ago, they interviewed
(25:01):
Charlie Sheen's ex wife, Brook Muller, several times, authority seizing
her laptop and iPhone. I judge yesterday ruled that Google
Search Engine has been legally exploiting its dominance to squash
competition and stifle innovation. The decision issued comes nearly a
year after the start of a trial pitting the US
Justice Department against Google. Google will appeal the decision, which
(25:24):
will delay any immediate effects for both consumers and advertisers.
And this just in too. Google has enacted new death
benefits for its employees. From Ford magazine, they say, if
a Google employee dies, that employee's spouse receives half the
employee's salary for ten years. On top of the half salary,
the spouse also gets stock benefits and kids get one
thousand per month until they turn nineteen. It's the good
(25:46):
news bad news for Google today and the first place
dodgers picked up a win over the Phillies last night,
but that was just icing on the cake for the
emotional return of Freddie Freeman, who was back in the
lineup after missing eight games to be with his ailing
three year old son Maximus, who thankfully is now out
of danger after a serious medical diagnosis. During the postgame presser,
(26:06):
Freddy was fragile.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
I think a lot of this our parents in here,
seeing one of your kids then later fighting.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
It was hard, oh hard. Indeed, our hearts to you, Freddy,
all right. In just a couple of minutes now soccer
is underway. It's women's soccer Team USA going up against Germany,
aiming to bring home the gold for the first time
in twelve years. We have partnered with the Olympics. We

It is a thank you Tuesday. We love putting you
on the air live so you can tell us you
grateful for in your life. So, Sophia, you are on.
Speaker 10 (27:34):
I know today is thankful Tuesday. So I just wanted
to call in and say thank you to all my
family and friends who showed up for me. They donated
blood for me at City of Hope and that earned
me I believe it was one hundred and eighty four
hours of loyalty time that I can use for all
my upcoming chemo and days off for doctor's appointments. So
(27:56):
I just wanted to make sure that I publicly thanked
them over and over and over again. And I listened
to your show, and I followed you when you came
and got your big break, and so I'm just happy
to be here today.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Oh Sophia, thank you. So wait you work for City
of Hope and you're being treated at City of Hope.
Speaker 10 (28:17):
Yes, I've been an employee there finishing it, and I
was originally diagnosed elsewhere, but as an employee, I got
my second opinion. And I was originally told that to
go home and make my arrangements because my cancer was untreatable.
And so I came to City of Hope where they
have all these research and things going on, and they
(28:40):
had a trial for me to do. And it was
hard that first year. If this is my second year,
I was doing double chemo.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
And.
Speaker 10 (28:49):
I couldn't walk for a while, and I couldn't eat
for a while, and all the things were happening. But
by the grace of God, I'm still here in City
of Hope. Saved me for another year to be with
my grandkids and my family, and so I use all
my sick time though, so the blood donations from all
my family and friends, it was just overwhelming because I
(29:12):
don't usually ask for help, and when I do, and
they all showed up it was.
Speaker 8 (29:17):
It means a lot.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Oh that's amazing, Sophia. Thank you. Thanks for having us
on and following us and being here with us. And
we will pray for you every every day.
Speaker 8 (29:30):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
We're right here next to you when you're in chemo
and at work and all that.
Speaker 10 (29:36):
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Yeah, we'll talk soon, Okay.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Thank you so much, Sophia, Thank you so much.

Tuesdays with us. So thanks on one who has made
