Speaker 1 (00:00):
Luk's here. Calvin, Hello, good morning, happy to be here.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Oh yeah, Giving Tuesday Calvin, our tenth year.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh yeah, feels great. Let's keep going.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Let's keep going. Let's go back to twenty fifteen though.
The origin. So you're in a football game. Whistle blows
and you have a broken arm.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yep, broken elbow.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Really unfortunate situation, but very fortunately I was taken the
Children's Hospital here in Los Angeles, great doctors, excellent staff,
and they put me right back together.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Humpty dumpty sal.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
And you know, I guess it was through seeing that
and interacting with them and we realized how great of
a place this is, and it just kind of spiraled
into this awesome situation.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Yeah we are ten years later.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yes, ten years of Giving Tuesday. I'll never forget being
in the waiting room and waiting for you in surgery,
and then you know, there was some recovery time, so
we spent a couple of nights there and then wheeling
you out with those great nurses at COCHLA and just
feeling like we can't leave here. We need to help
the people who can't always leave this quickly. And so

(01:07):
Giving Tuesday, I know that all through high school, you
had all kinds of fundraisers yep, to raise money. And
now you're out in the world.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yep, graduated working up in Silicon Valley doing AI stuff.
But I'm going to always come back and always be
here for Giving Tuesday and for Children's Hospital, just because
I love it so much.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, well, thank you for always being here for Giving Tuesday, Calvin.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
And I'm lucky to be a part of it. I'm
really grateful.

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
