Let's go inside. Hallmark releasing four new Christmas movies in
the month of July and twelve point six million people watch.
We were just talking about the holidays. We had our
big Christmas in July party last night on the very
last day we could. And now Hallmark saying that they
had huge viewership, everyone flocking to the network outside of

(02:38):
its high season. So way to go, Hallmark. Chane Oh,
Justin Baldoni was a surprise attendee yesterday Blake Lively's deposition
and a deposition. You're in a small room and you're
sitting at a table face to face, I mean so
close sometimes your knees could be touching. So Blake Lively
answered under oath questions by Justin's lawyer, and it happened

(03:00):
at her attorney's New York City office. It was kept
really secret. Also documenting the deposition, where a court reporter
and a videographer of both parties agreed to postpone the
deposition for two weeks after there was someone removed from
Blake's lawsuit, but the judge said that she had to
refile again. And you can just imagine the tensions sitting
in a small room together, first time that they've been

(03:20):
face to face in a year. And Anthony Hopkins posted
an Instagram video of himself wearing Kim Kardashian's new seamless
sculpt face wrap. These things come in two different tones.
They sold out quickly. I think, Bryan, you said in
five minutes or something.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
You wear while you sleep, take it off in the
morning for a sculpted jawline.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
And science says that it is not scientifically proven to
do really anything, but Anthony Hopkins had a good time
wearing it.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
Hello, Kim, I'm already faving ten years young.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Oh my Cannibal.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Right, yeah, the capital the video said, would you like
to come to dinner? Oh lord?

Speaker 1 (04:06):

that we all recognized this song and the first video
they ever played video killed the.

Speaker 2 (04:38):

Speaker 1 (04:40):

the Bugles. All right, Happy birthday MTV, and thank you
to our president Bob Pittmen, ladies video man.

Speaker 7 (04:51):

no sweetener.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
You don't say the word small to them, do you,
because they don't tell you. They don't like that.

Speaker 10 (05:34):

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Ellen K Morning Show follow at Official Ellen.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
If you're born on the first day of the month,
they say that you are a natural born leader some thing.
Of the people that you know born on the first
day of the month, are they a natural born leader?
Happy birthday to my friend Candace. I wouldn't say that
she's really a leader as much as she is just
fun funds fun as a hot day. Today, we're gonna

(06:27):
go to a ninety and stay there all weekend long.
We were talking about a great white shark that was there,
was spotted only fifty yards off of our shore, Santa Monica,
but tracked all the way down the coast. And this
is a big boy. It's not a juvenile. Also, Seal
Beach is known as Ray Bay because there are so
many ray stingrays there and usually lifeguards get like one

(06:50):
sting ray a day, that's their average. But now they're
averaging twenty a day.

Speaker 10 (06:55):
What.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah, So they say if you go on the beach
there at Steel Beach, they like it there. It's the
power plant, the water. But you're supposed to do this shuffle.
The shuffle you say, you shuffle through the sand and
then it scares them away and then you won't get stung.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Have you ever been stung?

Speaker 11 (07:07):
No?

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Have you no?

Speaker 2 (07:08):
A jellyfish?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yes? But not around Okay, yeah, I know I heard.
It just is excruciating. So yeah, they like the shallow water,
the warm water, and Seal Beach is a breathing ground
for sting rays. So it's Ray Bay anyway, And.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The Dodgers play the race today comes full circle?

Speaker 1 (07:31):
All right, you're happy to just hack for life? Ryan?
What you got here on your feel good Friday?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I have a pair to go with a two feet okay,
okay foot all right? So this is interesting. You know
that thing like sometimes you have a mountain of things
to do, a pile of tasks or chores. You get home,
you just get comfy and you're like, ugh, you can't.
You can't bring yourself to get up the couch or
whatever and do it. So science has found that the
fastest way to get yourself started to do the things
you're putting off is to put on your shoes. Really,

(07:57):
put your shoes back on once you get home. The
second get your feet are inside shoes, it triggers a
signal to our brain. I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I know more productive.

Speaker 7 (08:06):
Like when I tell myself you need to get stuff done, yeah,
I put on my nikes. Oh really okay, with good
socks the China. They aren't going to slide down.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
And fix sturdy good socks. Slippers, they don't know. That's
the opposite. You need sneakers, yeah, slippers do it doing anything,
and slippers I'm slipping. Okay. And then once you've been
on your feet and you've gotten things done, when your
feet are tired, this is super cool. I mean, I
don't know if you want to waste the beer for this,

(08:36):
but this does work. Pour a couple of cold ones
into a bucket and soak your feet in beer. What really, Yeah,
feet and cold beer. It is the best way to
soothe tired feet. Oh my gosh, I've never heard of
this before. I guess the bubbles would feel good. A
lot of carbonation.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, I'm going to do it.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Whole Foods opens at seven.

Speaker 8 (08:58):
In the car on the app at home, it's great.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
It's the L and K Morning Shell. Ooh, Coast one
O three point five. It's the L and K Morning Shell.

Speaker 6 (09:06):
Good morning, Coast QTI.

Speaker 12 (09:08):
That's my new name for you, Coast qties.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
None of us have ever been stung by a stingray,
but if you do get stung by a sting ray.
Tim Venice Beach is an ocean swim coach. Tim, you
say that you've got some great tips for us if
we ever get stung. What happened to you?

Speaker 3 (09:27):
I got my sting after about twenty years. I got
stung last year. I was walking out of the water
and it felt like I would maybe it's stepped on
a piece of sharp glass. Once I was out of
the water and the wound hit air, the pain was
just through the roof. Oh oh, and that's why they
tell you when you're going in and out of the water,
especially when razor around you, shuffle your feet. You drag

(09:49):
your feet while you're going in and out right, and
that will usually get them out of your path. Okay,
after you're stung, you want your foot in the hottest water.
You can stand for about thirty minutes.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Oh okay, what does that do? Suck out the venom
or whatever it is that they sting you with.

Speaker 3 (10:07):
It does the hot water pulls the venom out of
the wound. Just change the water every ten minutes to
keep it really really hot.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Huh.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
And again, just you want to shuffle your feet when
you walk in, shuffle your feet when you walk out.
That will clear them ninety nine percent out of the way,
all right.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
You would know he's in the ocean all the time,
teaching people how to swim in the ocean. Tim a
Venice Beach. Thanks hot water. If you get stung and
shuffle those feet in those sand, get those toesies, dragon,
I guess the sands.

Speaker 8 (10:36):
It's the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Think I've falling in love with you?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
Guys?

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Is that official? Are we dating?

Speaker 3 (10:41):
We are online dating?

Speaker 8 (10:43):
Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Watch watch it?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Alrighty, what you watching? I'll tell you I'm going to
go in on My Oxford Year, starring Sophia Carson, out
today on Netflix. It is set on the beautiful grounds
and campus of Oxford University in England. She's an ambitious
American student who had a childhood dream of going to Oxford.
And it's a rom com yay, and we need more

(11:12):
rom com so and we love Sophia Carson. She comes
in all the time. Local girl love to see her
succeeding not only in music, but now you know, also
in acting. And so this is going to be great
for the whole family. My Oxford Year on Netflix.

Speaker 7 (11:28):
I'm so happy because we need more movies too. Yes,
I get so stressed out. Like another series, which, by
the way, I'm stressed out. I'm watching another series called
Leanne on Netflix, Okay, and it's about this lady who's
been married for over thirty years and suddenly and abruptly
her marriage ends because her husband has been feeling left out.
Oh and another lady has let him in. Oh and

(11:51):
so I'm barely on episode one, huh, but it's already
captivated me. And as stressed as I get I'm still
committing to it.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
So Leanne on Netflix. Glory created and wrote and is
directing that. I love Chuck Glory stuff.

Speaker 7 (12:03):
And what I love is that the audience laughs in
the background like it's very old school.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Yeah, I like laugh tracks in the background.

Speaker 13 (12:12):
I'm going over to Prime Video and watching War of
the World. It's a brand new take on the Orson
Wells novel. As you know, ice Cube starts in this. Yeah,
ice Cube saves the world. But the aliens come in
on these comets and they they're crazy looking, like there,
they look amazing, and they're searching for data, so they
attack homeland security all this stuff.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
It's really cool.

Speaker 14 (12:34):
Uh.

Speaker 13 (12:35):
Eva Longoria is also starring in this, and they do
a great job. I'm gonna be watching that this weekend.

Speaker 10 (12:40):
Now.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Did Tom Cruise do a War of the worlds? He
did it the World. Yeah, so this is War the
World's too. It's not too it's just a different pave. Yeah,
it's a different, different look at the the aliens writing
in on comets. That's gonna be some kind of rockets.
It's really cool. All right, Ryan Man, Oh don't roll
your eyes, okay please, Well, now that you tell me
not to.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I shouldn't have started it like that. It's WWE SummerSlam Weekend.
It is on Peacock for the first time two nights
ever summer Slim. Cardi B is hosting. Oh wow, yeah,
and there's more hold on. Jelly Roll is making his
in ring debut. He's wrestling this weekend. Yes, Jelly Role
is in the ring. Yes, he's in a match this weekend.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Okay, wait today or tonight?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Tomorrow and tomorrow and Sunday.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Oh oh my god, I have to see this.

Speaker 2 (13:23):

glued to this?

Speaker 7 (13:26):
Will he wear the chonies?

Speaker 1 (13:27):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
I can't imagine.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
This is what he said. He's lost one hundred and
something pounds and he said that there's a lot of
extra skin and he's gonna have to have surgery. It'll
be interesting to see what he wears. Sure, and Cardi
B hosting, so she'll be doing like the color commentary.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, she'll be in between alls.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
And then did you get in the ring?

Speaker 2 (13:45):
We'll see. I mean, if Jelly Roll is why not hurt?
And it's John Cena's final Summer Sin so it's a
fun event for us.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
All right, well, let's go to the movie theater. Liam
Neeson and Pamela Anderson who are in a budding romance
and it's also Naked Gun two. It is so silly
and so dumb, and they love that. They said, we
wanted to make it as dumb as possible, but I
can't wait to see it. Liam Neeson talking about Pamela Anderson,
she just loves to cook for him.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
She loves to cook, she loves to bake. She made
me sourdoo loves during this shoot. Sure, brown muffins, which
I love brand muffins.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
That's fibers always fiber is always exciting.

Speaker 2 (14:23):

Speaker 12 (15:03):
Yeah, you go to my morning.

Speaker 8 (15:06):
Coast one O three point five.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Let's chop dinner dates. Katy Perry going on a not
so secret dinner date with Justin Trudeau, the former Prime
Minister of Canada, and then he went to her show.
He was dancing in the audience in Montreal and he
was like, right up front, He's a funny dancer. Yeah,
And he seemed to be all alone watching Katy Perry.

(15:29):
And then you know, she goes over the audience in
her butterfly and she like kind of paused over him,
and then he was like, you know, putting his arms
up to the sky, his face off too. Yeah. Yeah,
it was pretty cool. They had a really nice dinner date.
They ate a lot of food and it was expensive.
And it all has to do with your ellen KQ

(15:50):
and A. We asked the question, first caller with the
right answer is going to the Jonas Brothers It into
It Dome. Tickets for this show another at Honda Center
are on sale at ticketmaster dot com. But we are
going to send you to see the Jonas Brothers on
their Living the Dream Tour Into It Dome, Love the
Into It Dome. Every seat's a great seat. We're gonna
put you there, all right. Restaurant staffer say, this is

(16:13):
the top dinner date red flag. This is just number one,
and restaurant staffers see everything. So there's a giant national
poll done and this came out on top. This is
the top dinner date red flag. It's eight hundred ninety
two nine kost. When's the last time you've been out
on a dinner date? How did go? Were there red flags?

(16:35):
Did you go on another date? This is the number
one dinner date red flag, So give us a call
again the number eight hundred.

Speaker 8 (16:45):
LA wait's up.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
But the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 15 (16:56):
All so much.

Speaker 5 (16:57):
Coast one oh three point five. It's the llen K
Q and A on Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Hi Amy, Hi, Hello, Amy is a nurse at Kaiser
in Harbor City. I'm sure, you love your job, and
thank you for all the care you give.

Speaker 12 (17:12):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, are you at work right now?

Speaker 12 (17:16):
I'm heading in right now? Okay, I can start for
another thirty minutes or so.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
All righty, well, thanks for playing the llen KQ and
a restaurant staffer say, this is the top dinner date
red flag? What do you think it is?

Speaker 6 (17:27):
I think it's seemed too distracted on your phone.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Yeah, that's a really good one, especially if you're on
a dinner date you don't really know the person. Phones
should not even be present. I agree, Okay, Amy, it's
a great guest. It's a popular guest. A lot of
people are saying on the phone too much, staring at
the screen instead of being on the date. It's a
great guess. It's not the right answer.

Speaker 6 (17:52):
All right, thank you, try again.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Thank you. We go to Vivian and AZUSA medical assistant. Hi, Vivian, Hello, Hi,
are you at work right now? Okay? Well, thank you
for having us on, Vivian. We're grateful for you.

Speaker 11 (18:07):
Thank you speaking with you.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
What's your guest? So what do you think it is?
What is the top dinner date red flag?

Speaker 9 (18:14):
I think it's when they asked you to split the check, asking.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
To split the check?

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I think, Ellen, are you the one your your kind
of rule of thumb is whoever invites pace?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, I think that that's that's a good way to go.
So whether you know you said come in to lunch,
your dinner, sure, I want to take you out, yes,
or the other way around, or hey, I'm gonna take
you out, you want to split the bill? I guess
our front would be maybe. I don't know, but Vivian,
it's a great guess. It is not the right answer.

Speaker 12 (18:42):
Okay, thank you, all right, thanks a lot.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Matt's a math teacher on summer break. When do you
go back?

Speaker 12 (18:47):
Matt, I don't even keep check.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Okay, we love it in Placentia, all right, Matt. Well,
we're happy that you're listening on your summer break. What
is your guest restaurant staffers say it's the top dinner
date red flag?

Speaker 15 (19:03):
Not tipping?

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Oh, not tipping. That's a great guess. It's not the
right answer, Matt, oh bummer. As a math teacher, what
percentage do you recommend? It's a really really great server.

Speaker 14 (19:15):
Oh, really great. I would say twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (19:18):
Okay, yeah, good, yea all right, all right, Matt, try again,
Thank you. Thanks. We go to Critos now restaurant manager, Ariana,
and you work at Marny's and Seal Beach, it.

Speaker 12 (19:30):
Says, I am managed Marty's in Seale Beach.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Yes, great, what's your top dish?

Speaker 12 (19:38):
I would have to say, any of our burgers, any
of our hot wings, okay, pizzas, salads.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
Our food is so good, awesome.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Well, you are a restaurant staffer, and staffords are pulled.
They say it's the top dinner date, red flag. What
do you think it is? Ariana?

Speaker 12 (19:55):
It is being rude about the seating.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Being rude about the seating. Does this happen? Lot?

Speaker 12 (20:01):
It does? We have live music on the weekends, live mans,
and yeah it's pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Okay.

Speaker 12 (20:11):
You can really tell when someone's on a date if
that person should not be with that person. Oh my god,
you want to say when you want to say, oh girl,
you need to run.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Okay, well, guess what, Ariana? You are right? Is being
rude about the seating, because in a restaurant equals rude
in life. You are going to the Jonas Brothers.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.

Speaker 12 (20:34):
Oh my gosh, my sister and I love.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Them well, so do we Jonas brothers into a dome
living the dream tour and restaurant staffers say, the top
dinner date Red Flag is being rude about the seating.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Can you okay? Can you ask though? Can we have
a different table?

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Is that okay? Is that fair? I don't well, I
guess if you're you're rude about it, you have to
do it nicely, said root in a restaurant equals root
in life.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Got it.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
But also, look, if it's a special date and you
know the restaurant, you could call them ahead and say, hey,
I really love to sit by the window that looks
out on the garden, and could you, like, if it's possible, sure,
could I please, you know, sit there? And they'll say,
you're bringing another date? Now let's see.

Speaker 8 (21:19):
Okay, a morning show.

Speaker 12 (21:21):
I mean, he feels so good this morning.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
Thank you past one O three point bi top stories
at top of the hour, Good morning, I'm ellen k okay.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
So this is a feel bad turn feel good. And
man in Utah was driving his ATV through some desolate
and winding mountains, swerved, crash and was thrown forth in
fifty feet. He broke a bunch of bones, including both ankles.
He literally could not stand up, no one around for miles.
His dog Buddy, was also ejected from the vehicle, but
incredibly survived. Buddy initially dragged his owner and encouraged him

(21:51):

you know Captain Sigg is the main guy. I ran
into him and had a beer with him at a
dive bar New York City. Yeah, so I've just been obsessed.
After I met him, I was like, Captain Sig, what

(34:29):
are you doing here?

Speaker 1 (34:30):
You had a beer with Captain Deadliest Catch?

Speaker 2 (34:32):

wearing that. I call it a thong. He calls it
a loincloth. It's amazing. I love it because it feels
like you have nothing on, and it's it's just very masculine.

(35:09):
You just see you see as about the whole time,
you guys. But it's on Apple TV Plus. It's a
great story and it's called Chief of War Jason Momoa.

They were once normal people.

Now they're not accepted by the world and they've formed
their own cult and they want to bring people in.

Well, what a fun job and scary. I would have
nightmares because it sounds like they've become real to you.
