that he'd been adopted, so he thought, you know what

At the age of forty two, he found her and

When she came back for her baby, they said he

How are you feeling, coach?

I feel good. I'm excited about the opportunity to play
good quality teams. So that's kind of what we need.
We're a young team and we need to grow up,
and good teams help you do that.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
What advice are you telling your team before the game?
Are you one of those Are you one of those
locker room fire up guys? Or are you the all
week long I don't need to talk in the locker
room guy.
Speaker 7 (10:30):
Yeah, I am definitely the ladder there. I'm not a
you know, I'm pretty level, you know, throughout the whole week.
So I'm much more of the message every day guy.
I'm not the fire brimstone guy on Friday nights for sure.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
So we're hearing from most of our winning as coaches
they say that, look, game day really isn't the day.
It's leading up to game day. We need the confidence
and we need the plan and we need to be together.
And so if we haven't done that by Friday, you
know what's the point.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
You're absolutely right, I'm going to hire you.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Thank you, coach Kesh.
Speaker 7 (11:08):
Yeah, they you know, if I if we don't have
it thick. But that's why I'm so more relaxed at
the end of the week that our work is done.
It's just time to go play. And and we want
the kids to uh play with velocity. And sometimes when
you think too much, it slows you down. And so
by that time, I tell them, let's let's let it rip.
It doesn't matter, just let it go. I'm you know,
(11:30):
it doesn't matter to talk about it now. So we've
either got it done or we don't by that time,
and I just let go, you know, and let the
kids play.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Let's let it rip, all right. Coach. Yeah, we always
we always love to be you know, imagine ourselves in
the locker room and there's music playing. What's the big
fire up song?
Speaker 7 (11:49):
Gosh that you know what that's that's hard because there's
such a you know, I'm sixty two years old. So
what kids listen to today and what I listened to
like so much different. But I mean, you know, I
mean for them, as long as it's clean, you know,
it's okay, right, you know, because that that is something

that uh, you know, being from the philosophy and mission
of our school is not something where you know we're
gonna be uh, you know, the lyrics gotta be okay,
you know. But I remember like a Phil Collins song
like you can Feel It in the Air tonight. I
kind of feel like that's such an appropriate song for
a Friday night football game.

I think if we're doing a work contest, I think
it's high time we go low. Well, this has been
going on for about nine years, and every time anyone
dresses up here for a costume contest. The winner always
has the most skin showing.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Oh no, so now we have to do body paint.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
I'm just saying. We try to get creative and clever, yeah,
and come in the bottom two every year.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I know, right, Like remember when we were an entire
football team and field.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
It was so elaborate and wholesome, I know. And then
Hoko walks out in avatar body paint, everything showing, and.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
What do you know? Yeah, we lost. She won. Took
very little effort for her. If you have any ideas
for us, I mean, we need to We need to
clinch this because we're we always we overthink it and
we like spend so much time and energy on it,
and it's always, in my opinion's super clever. And then
we lose.
