Past one of three point five.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
They show stream us on the iHeart Radio app cost

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Point five Inside Entertainment with Ellen k Alrighty.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
So, Taylor Swift is saying that it's tabloid clickbait her subpoena,
at least her lawyers are. So she got subpoena for
the Justin Baldonive Lake Lively trial, and now her lawyer
is saying that this is just clickbait. The subpoena is
designed to use Taylor Swift's name to draw public interest.
In fact, they were even this so tickets for some
kind of viewing for some of the depositions, which is

(02:04):
so weird where I had never heard of that before.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
But they would sell out in a heartbeat, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And asap, Rocky showed up a Rihanna shape ring. It's
a custom made gold ring featuring miniature statue of Rihanna,
designed by Jason Beverly Hills, one hundred and ten grams
of eighteen carat gold, adorned with five carrots of white diamonds,
the statue captures Rihanna's likeness, complete with a diamond encrusted
strapless dress. Anyway, Rocky spoke of his admiration for the piece,

(02:32):
saying that this is the way I can wear her,
you know, take her everywhere I go. I don't know
if you saw Si Nol. Walton Goggins hosted it, and
then Arcade Fire was the guest music. But it was
his first time. He brought his mom up on stage,
and he said that he grew up going to honky
Tonks with his mother and she taught him the two
step and all these different dances. So they danced on stage.

(02:55):
It was so beautiful and he was like on the
Verrgeteers saying, you know, my single mother, raise me in Georgia.
Then he also said that it's kind of weird becoming
a sex symbol in his fifties, but he loves it.
Are we all horny? Are we all horny? For Walton
Goggins receding hairline, I've had the same hairline.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Since I was seven.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
It's not receding, it's holding its ground.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
La waves up with the L and K Morning Show.

Coast one o three point five.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Your happiness hacking. It happens right here on Coast one
o three point five every morning at this time.

Speaker 9 (04:45):
That's right, you're on your Monday May twelve. When's the
last time you had a big, tall glass of lemonade?

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Ellen, Oh, it's been a long time. I think I
might have had one with vodka in it.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
That doesn't count?

Speaker 6 (04:58):
Does count?

Speaker 2 (05:00):
LI made?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Li made?

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Would count based on what this research finds you?

Speaker 8 (05:04):
Good?

Speaker 1 (05:04):
I brought you guys. It's called awa frescao. Okay, so
it's it's basically.

Speaker 5 (05:12):
Cucumber lime juice that sounds greatly made, perfect in the ridge.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 9 (05:19):
And this is because new research out of Japan finds
that having a glass of lemonade improves your memory. It
helps you retain information, new things. Even sniffing the aroma
of a lemon or a lime citrus, anything like that
helps you. So when you're adding vodka, I think that's decreasing. Okay,
all right, because then you're not remembering anything. Did you
ever have a lemonade stand as a kid. Yes, I

(05:40):
never got into that. I just felt like there was
too much labor and time for the return.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Oh, I got you.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Yeah, I'd rather hustle another way.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yeah, we did it. We made some good money that way.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah. What's the going rate? Would you say? Now for
a couple of lemonade.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I think it's always been a buck. Yeah, and I
think it's pretty easy. But we would say like you
can have two glasses or you know, if you want
to just give us a twenty.

Five, Top Stories, top of the hour. Good morning, I'm
ellen K. Did He's trafficking trial is set to start
today in Manhattan. It's going to be delayed, possibly a
bit out of the gate. I'll do to some last
minute potential jurorswaps. No cameras will be allowed inside the courtroom.
Cassie Ventura Comb's X could take the stand as early
as today. We'll have any breaking up dates this morning,

(06:38):
if and as they happened. All right. New Pope Leo
the fourteenth meets the press today, but his brothers are
meeting the press every day from their living rooms in
their driveways. Older brother Lewis seems to be the most active.

Speaker 10 (06:52):
He will always be rob If we do get over there,
I'm still gonna treat them like my little brother. Give
him a hard or say, idiot, what have you done?
Take his hat off and give him a nuggie noogie.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
That is what the Pope is going to get from
Alder brother Lewis all right. Eraone is expanding. So Cow's
upscale organic grocery chain just announced plans for its first location,
inventory county thousand Oaks coming to you have. The eleventh

Speaker 1 (08:26):
She is Ellen, and good morning to you. We love
your letters. Thank you for sending them to Coast one
O three five dot com. All you do is go
there and tap that envelope and you get right in.
We have so many letters, by the way. I'm ellen K,
I'm right man, I'm social Queen Darlene. And here we
are on this Monday. It's going to be a little
cooler than it was over the weekend, but what a

(08:46):
great energizing weekend, Darling. Now we're just talking off the
air about how soul filling it is to be loved
by your family and appreciated as a mother, and whether
your dog mom or a real mom or our grandmom,
it's just great to have those days where it's just
all about love.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, and quality time.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah. So my son Calvin's going to stop by sometime
this hour on his way back up to work and school.
And also we have Cash on Coast coming up. And
you're Ellen KQ and a for Katie Perry on our
Lifetime's World Tour. Can't wait to do that, all right,
But this letter that we got has to do with
this week USC graduation. This from Janine. So Janine writes this,

(09:29):
Dear Ellen, my ex husband Marco is insisting on bringing
his new girlfriend, Hannah to our daughter's graduation at USC
this week. The girl is only four years older than
our daughter. This is supposed to be our daughter's day,
a celebration of her incredible hard work and achievements. Instead,
Marco is turning it into some sort of twisted show.

(09:49):
I'm trying to hold it together for our daughter's sake,
but inside I feel so disrespected. I don't want this
young woman who has zero history with our family and
barely enough time to understand what a graduation like this means.
Sitting there like she's part of our family. I know
I can't stop him from showing up with whoever he wants.
He even called our daughter to tell her he's bringing Hannah.

(10:11):
I need someone to hear me, and I need someone
to say this is not okay, it's selfish, it's tone deaf,
and I think it's gross. Thanks for listening. I really
needed to write this and get it out there. Love Jeanine.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
So.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Janine's the ex wife, Marco's the ex husband. Hannah's the
new girlfriend four years older than their daughter. And that's
a fact too.

Speaker 9 (10:33):
You could hear in her writing that that that hurts
a lot. Yeah, she said, in barely enough time to
know what a graduation like this means.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Come on, sitting there like she's part of us. Well,
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
What what do you? What's your gut say?

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I don't know, no, no, I mean I understand her anger.

Speaker 9 (10:52):
You do, yeah, but at the same time you can't.
You can't and can't tell this guy who can't.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
That's why I understand all of it. I just don't
know what I would do. My gut says fine, whatever, don't.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
I don't want to see you.

Speaker 5 (11:05):
Sit far away, oh, far far away.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Okay. We celebrated my niece's graduation from Pepperdine over the weekend,
and then there was the after party because she could
only invite four people, so we all met at an
Airbnb afterward and celebrated her together. So what about the
after party? Like, how does that go? Of course, the
dad's gon want to see his daughter. He raised her too,

(11:30):
and but Janine is like, stay away from me, and
this is disrespectful. Is there any way to get Marco
to not bring the girlfriend? Does Marco have another agenda?
Why does he want the girlfriend to be there?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Because that's who's in his life right now.

Speaker 9 (11:45):
And it's okay to take your partner no matter how
long you've been together, whether it's four months, four years,
four decades, you can take whoever you want, wherever you want.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
It's a big life event.

Speaker 6 (11:55):
That's fine.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
She's gonna feel it.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
Give us a call. See graduation this Thursday or yeah,
uh yeah, usc graduation, I know for sure this week.
And if you're going, do you know, good luck girl? Yeah?
You know. Janine and Marco, who divorced.

Twice as many men than women think they can pull
this off. What is it?

Speaker 3 (15:00):
My guest, Ellen is skinny jeans?

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Oh, skinny jeans? Great, guess you know Harry Styles only
buys women's jeans.

Speaker 3 (15:13):
There's somebody else that I know that also only buys
women's jeans because of the fit.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, they know no gender, and you
are not right. It's not the right answer.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
So sorry, that's okay. I got to speak with you
guys and wish you a happy Monday.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
You two, Kelly, Let's go to Bob works at Chino

a conference and Sacramento heirs.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Oh okay, well, thank you for listening and playing the game.
What do you think it is twice as many men
then women think they can pull this off.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, you know, the Indianapolis five hundred comes up at
the end of the month, competing on an autumn upright.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Oh okay. One of my friends is a girl racer,
Catherine Legg. She's not racing Indy this year, but she
did last year. She's going to next year, and there
aren't a lot of women doing that. Good guess, it's
not the right answer, Bob. It was a a great guess.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
It travels too.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Let's go to Sophie and Azusa. Hi, Sophie, good morning, Hey,
good morning. We're still looking for the right answer. What

women think they can pull this off.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
I think they think they can put on a good.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
Party, A good party. My brothers together through a great
graduation party this weekend for my niece, she graduated Pepperdine
and they did such a good job. They went to
Costco and bought all the meats and the beans and
the rice. It was really, really, really well done.

Speaker 7 (16:53):
Oh congratulations, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
It was fun plan a good party. That's what Sophie says.
It's not the right answer.

one of our guesses.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
What do you say, I'm gonna say, beating a lie
detector test.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Beating a lie detector test. Twice as many men than
women think that they can do that. And you are
going to Katie Perry. You're right here to go, Lauren. Yes,

Oh really hot, well yeah, the heat, yeah, but I
bet everyone was good and happy and taken care of.
And USC commencement main ceremony this Thursday. And our letter
comes from a mother of a grad to be. Her
name is Janine, said her ex husband Marco is insisting
all caps on bringing his new girlfriend, Hannah to our

(22:37):
daughter's graduation at USC. The girl is only four years
older than our daughter. This is supposed to be our
daughter's day, a celebration of her incredible hard work and achievements. Instead,
Marco is turning it into some sort of twisted show
which the writing here I was like, this is Janina
is very unhappy. She doesn't want her daughters today to

(22:58):
go this way. I think you know you have a
picture in your mind of how it's going to go.
She raised this girl with Marco, they split up. I
know Marco is a new girl, Hannah. I'm trying to
hold it together for our daughter's sake, but inside I
feel so disrespected. I know I can't stop him from
showing up with whoever he wants, but I needed someone
to hear me, and I need someone to tell me

(23:19):
it's not okay. It's selfish and tone deaf. Oh and
then she goes on to say it's just gross.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Mm hmm. Why the okay? What if this lady wasn't
four years older than her daughter, would that make a difference?
Why is this?

Speaker 9 (23:32):
Why is Janine mentioning the new girlfriend's age. It's irrelevant
to the story, or is it it is? He's a Okay,
let's say you're Marco. At what point do you draw
the line. Where do you draw the line? When do
you when do you let like stop letting your ex
make decisions on your behalf?

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Well, because I think it's a this is a family
thing that I guess she wanted it to be family.

Speaker 10 (23:54):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
She said that she doesn't want this young woman who
has zero history with our family and barely enough time
to understand what a graduation like this is sitting there
like she's part of us. So I think it's yes
her age because maybe Janine feels like he's putting this
in her face, like I've moved on and look at
my girlfriend. She could be graduating today, you know what

(24:20):
I mean? I don't know. I don't know.

Speaker 9 (24:23):
I just I think it's a slippery slope if this
guy concedes to this and goes, okay, that she's your
ex for a reason, she can't make your decisions.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
But this is not about either of them. I know
this is about their daughter. Anyway, let's go to Westchester. Stefan,
what do you feel and what are you thinking?

Speaker 8 (24:42):
I feel that the parents need not to make it
about themselves and make it about the graduate because obviously
the ex she's bob angry, But it's not about the mom.
It's not about the dad. It is about the graduate,
and focus on her.

Speaker 3 (24:56):
Ye.

Speaker 8 (24:57):
So if she says no, I don't want her there,
then that's why. If she says yes, she can come,
that's fine as well.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Okay, So so rope in the daughter and ask her
what she wants.

Speaker 8 (25:08):
Yes, because the mom did say that he called his daughter,
but she didn't give a response to what he uh,
what the dad said or what the daughter said.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Right, yeah, that's right. All right, Well, Stefan, thank you
so much. Have a great day. We love that you listen. Thanks, Hey,

Coast one of the three point five. Janine murders a
letter to Ellen. My ex husband Marco is insisting on
bringing his new girlfriend, Hannah to our daughter's graduation at
usc and the new girlfriend is only four years older
than our daughter. It's supposed to be our daughter's day.
Marco's turning it into some sort of twisted show. From
Janina Maria, thank you for calling. You feel strongly about this,

(27:22):
but you have advice for ex husband Marco.

Speaker 7 (27:27):
Go alone. It's his daughter, you know what I mean,
the girlfriend. He'll have more time to go see the
girlfriend or or spend time with her. It's his daughter
and stuff. Just do it alone and be like, tell
the girlfriend you have to understand, it's my daughter. You know,
that's it.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
It's my daughter. I raised her. I want to celebrate her.
I think I don't know. Something's nagging inside of me
that no matter how you feel about the situation, it's
really about the daughter, no one else. It's not about
Janine the mom or Marco the dad, and and can
we just get along and not have to fight and
so celebrate her no matter how like I would, even

(28:03):
I don't know, is it okay to go to the
daughter and say what do you what do you think
is the right thing? Or I don't think we involve
her either, because she needs to focus on celebrating her
huge accomplishment. She's graduating from USC exactly.

Speaker 7 (28:19):
It's a happy day for her, very happy and exciting day.
I mean, you know, when my niece got married and
she'd invited her father, but not the not the girlfriend
nor the wife. He said, you can come, but not her.
You know what, he came by himself.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
All right, right, okay, all right, well, thank you, thank
you for weighing in. Jeanie's counting on us.

Speaker 3 (28:41):
I have a good morning, you too, too.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
What about this? Okay, but yeah, we're just Rian's got
this scenario.

Speaker 9 (28:46):
I don't I don't know if this is it, but
what if like we barter, you know, can we barter here?
Like okay, I'll have my girlfriend sit this one out.
But don't be blindsided when I call in my favor.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Oh okay, yeah, you know, yeah, a little bitgotiations.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
So it's fine.

Speaker 2 (29:01):

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Bang USC graduation Thursday. Janie wrote us a letter to Ellen.
Her ex husband is insisting on bringing his new girlfriend,
Hannah to their daughter's graduation at USC. Hannah is only
four years older than their daughter. So Janine is upset.
She wants us to be their daughter's day, a celebration
of their daughter, and now, she said, Marco's turning it

(31:36):
into some sort of twisted show. Anna, you heard the letter.
Thank you so much for colling. What do you feel? Well?

Speaker 3 (31:42):
I have been in her situation. My ex husband is
on his fourth wife. I was number two, okay, number
three was our previous babysitter, and the number four is
the same age as my youngest daughter. So I have
been to several events with several women who are quite
young his arms. And she just has to be the mom.

(32:04):
She has to hold herself with dignity and class and
totally disregard the other woman and the man her ex husband,
get him civilly, but this is about her and her
daughter and their moments together, and.

Speaker 7 (32:20):
He doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
He took himself out of the equation and everybody's going
to see him for what he is.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Okay, and you've lived, you've walked the walk.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
I have walked it several times. Ellen. At first it
was humiliating, but then I learned how to do it.

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Well, you know what, that's great advice then, because yeah,
you've done it and you sound like you're at peace.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Yes, I've had a wonderful, happy life. Now I have
grandchildren who are I just adore them. I could eat
them because I'm happy and he is not. So I mean,
karma does come. Karma knocked on his door, and I'm
not happy for his misery. I'm happy for my happiness
right to.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
Have a great one.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Thanks you too. Happy post medes day.

Speaker 6 (33:06):
La wakes up with the Ellen k Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
Hey, it's other from Uscle mean to listen to you
guys every morning.

Speaker 9 (33:10):
Love you, Thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (33:11):
She costs one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
And if you are a master whistler, we have some
good news for you coming up. It's a competition you
can enter in also your letters to Ellen. So this
has been getting a lot of calls this morning. USC
graduation on Thursday, Janine wrote us a letter. Her ex
husband Marco is insisting on bringing his new girlfriend and
she's only four years older than their daughter who is graduating.

(33:37):
So Jennie says, I know I can't stop them showing
up with whoever he wants, but I need someone to
say this is not okay, it's selfish. Tone up and
frankly just gross. So she's feeling disrespected and Kevin, you
heard the letter, you have feelings, you have thoughts, what
do you think?

Speaker 11 (33:56):
I think that the this is your early advice for
the for the writer. But I think the solution of
this problem resides with the girlfriend, who should have the
class and the grace to step aside, step out of
the situation, and then it takes the pressure off of everybody.
And I think it's a I think it's a very
mature way to handle it. The only drawback to that

(34:16):
could be that the daughter might feel dissed by her
that she's that the girlfriend isn't coming and couldn't be bothered.
So if the girlfriend wanted to go, so, if the
girlfriend wanted to go the extra mile, the girlfriend could
write just a nice brief note to the daughter saying, Hey,
I won't be able to be there because I think
this is something that you should experience with your mom
and dad alone. But I want you to know that
I really support you, and I think that it's I

(34:38):
think what you're doing is wonderful. I have no misrespect
for your father. Couldn't be more proud and congratulations.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
Okay, that's a good solution. Thank you so much for that, Kevin.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
You're welcome.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
Yes, you know Janine can say what I ain't.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
No hollow.
