And let's talk about kissing for a second. A new
study sought to find evidence of the very first kiss
and get this, it definitely predated humans. The report finds
it happened twenty one million years ago. It first started
within a group of apes and was then mimicked by Neanderthals,
who passed the practice along to Homo sapiens. They say

it's a deep rooted evolutionary behavior and if you want
to hear the least sexy, most textbook definition of kissing,
this study delivered that they define it as quote an
interaction of oral to oral contact with movement of lips

we had agreed to rotate. Yes, you know his parents,
my parents like that. But in this case, Brandon's brother
is not budging.

I mean, you can't force a sibling to celebrate holidays
in the way that you want them to anymore than
he can force other people into his orbit.

I guess I'm thinking, like, you grew up with this person,
and you're used to a certain holiday celebration, whether it's
we all go to mom's house and we sit around
the table, or you know, we all wake up together
and we're together on Christmas.

And now he's got a new family in the mix
and he just wants to be with them.

I think there could be some real grief here. And
you mentioned it's a loss of maybe tradition of what
someone knew before, and lives do change. People grow up,
they marry. It's just I don't like it when anybody
takes a really hard line.

sadder than if I was like, what are you doing Sunday?

such importance to the day. And his first one here too,
I mean, yeah. Then in the hindsight, I'm like, you
know what, I didn't want to spend it with you anyway.

and get this, it definitely predated humans. The report finds

within a group of apes and was then mimicked by Neanderthals,

a family. Okay, Now, when my husband and I got married,
we had agreed to rotate. Yes, you know his parents,
my parents like that. But in this case, Brandon's brother
is not budging.

I think that he does have.

I mean, you can't force a sibling to celebrate holidays
in the way that you want them to anymore than
he can force other people into his orbit.

I guess I'm thinking, like, you grew up with this person,
and you're used to a certain holiday celebration, whether it's
we all go to mom's house and we sit around
the table, or you know, we all wake up together
and we're together on Christmas.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
And now he's got a new family in the mix
and he just wants to be with them.
Speaker 10 (21:39):
I think there could be some real grief here. And
you mentioned it's a loss of maybe tradition of what
someone knew before, and lives do change. People grow up,
they marry. It's just I don't like it when anybody
takes a really hard line.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
I'm only going to do this this way. Yeah, what
is that person?

How do you classify that personally? I am not going
to budge.
Speaker 10 (22:08):
I think we can look at that in terms of rigidity.
It's a little could be a little bit of a
rigid personality, see that type of my way or the
highway individual. It can be really hard to connect with people.

There's a thing that we do I figured this out
with we attach a lot of a lot more meaning
to holidays. Okay, so my brother and his family just
moved to San Diego. I was very excited. I was like,
what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Of course I'm going
to be there, right, And he's like, oh, We're actually
going to spend it with friends. And that made me
sadder than if I was like, what are you doing Sunday?
Just some random day?
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Like the day? Yes, I think we give we assign
such importance to the day. And his first one here too,
I mean, yeah. Then in the hindsight, I'm like, you
know what, I didn't want to spend it with you anyway.
It I didn't mean to pilot. No, I hear what
you're doing.

I know I already felt bad enough, so plans Yeah, Helleni,
I'm still looking at all.

Okay, well, look at least you have freedom, and in
Brandon's letter, there is no freedom.

There is just just like you know, I think this
is happening a lot.

We're seeing that half of all people who are going
into family situations have pre planned the conversations and how
to steer clear of drama. And it sounds like Brandon's family.
They can't even all get together because the brothers just
sitting there. I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do, and
