Speaker 1 (00:00):
And we had the only K morning show. It's Coast
one of three point five.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome in. It's nice and warm in here, Melan Cave Hi,
Amy Man, I'm social Queen Darling. Good morning, I'm producing
my grandmos. Okay. Last night was the Leanie Wilson Awards.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
She won everything. She goested too, the CMAS. I love
watching the Red Carpets for that. Villie Ray Cyrus was
on it with Elizabeth Hurley and the photographers and everyone
watching went nuts because he pulled her in and kissed
her like on the back of her neck. And they
say that's the number one place a woman loves to be.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Kissed, the back of the neck.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
On the back of the neck, kind of like side back,
like right, like think go straight down from your ear
and then back a little.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Oh yeah, that's where he got the spot. Yeah, it's
pretty cool. Got the spot. I'm just feeling, okay, I'll
have a spot.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yeah, Like you can feel your kind of your neck
muscle there, yeah, go behind it.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Not to get too personal, but the ear drives me crazy.
Geez right am I all right?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Did we know that about Ryan?

Speaker 1 (01:16):
It's a Disney animated that you get five hundred thousand
dollars each.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
It's a great payday.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
And Frozen two comes along and wow, look at that
paycheck fifteen million dollars each.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Yeah, yeah, it's nice growth.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Well, Frozen three sixty million dollar pay day each. Oh my,
I mean come on, and Frozen two fifteen and they
jumped to sixty million because Frozen the first two films
made two point seven billion dollars globe unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
You know, you do a lot of voiceover auditions and stuff. Ellen, No,
I don't. I would land the I audition back. Don't
get them a Pamper's one and they're like, well, buy
you lunch.

Speaker 1 (02:00):

Entertainment with ellen K.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
All right, let's talk about this.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Nate Bargatzi is plotting or yeah well plotting, to open
a one hundred acre amusement park in Nashville. So he's
scouting locations right now. Think Dollywood Nateland, though it will
feature rides, restaurants, retail stores, and possibly a hotel. Hopefully
he'll include a fun house of mirrors and maybe a
drunk history experience.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
That would be a lot of fun.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Anyways, partner to design the park said quote, our goal
is to create a premium themed entertainment experience in Music
City that reflects the unique humor and heart of Nateland.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Is this real? He's been talking about this for years.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
He says, Nashville doesn't have anything quite like this, and
you know he loves the city.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Okay, Well, in the meantime, he has a comedy cruise
coming up in February. Travis Kelcey gushing over magical Taylor
Swift after She'll boosts the new Height podcast numbers. He
was celebrating what he called his fiance's magical impact after
her guest appearance, It made Apple podcast number three most
popular episode of the year. Swift herself credited the podcast

(04:22):
with being the unlikely starting point of their relationship and
said the show got me a boyfriend and now a
future husband. Speaking of boyfriends, Jennifer Andiston's boyfriend Jim Curtis
is a love guru and he's a lifestyle, healthy living
kind of guy anyway, like a hypnotist and wellness coach
is what he formally is. He warned people not to
settle in love after going public with Jennifer Aniston.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
His name is Jim, he is fifty.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
He posted a video on his Instagram account dishing out
relationship advice.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Asked if it's better to settle or stay alone.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Jim was adamant their relationships should not be entered into lightly.
Jennifer brought her boyfriend Jim to an invent Beverly Hills,
so it was their first public outing together. She's going
to be all over L magazine two December issue, and
happy birthday to you if you are celebrating today, Thursday,
November twentieth, Bo, Derek, I got married in the ten
church the movie ten, and there's a famous scene where

(05:15):
Simon at the church.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Bo Derek Glove of fame from that. This is Bolero
from ten.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Let me go left, ask ready to watch the movie.
You know what's happening during this music. Joe Walsh having
a birthday today. Happy birthday, Joel McHale. And also Dick Clark,
Happy heavenly birthday. You know Dick Clark was the spokesman
for Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 8 (05:42):
This is Dick Clark.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Add Like thousands of Southern Californians, I find myself listening
to Coast one O three no matter where you are,
what you're doing, Coast one O three gives you great
music and lots of songs by artists like Lionel Rich,
Neil Diam, Barbara Streis. Coast one o three seems to
fit whatever mood i'm and it makes you feel good.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
It really is there, it is. I love the retro
Dick Clark Coast commercial. God we have this VCR in
here to play.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
He was all over TV doing that thank you Dick
Clark Cafe, Happy Heavenly Birthday. He didn't mention Ariana Grandevid
here she is on.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
It's the l and K Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (06:28):
You have such wonderful laughter and entertainment positivity. Just want
to say how great everyone is there. That makes the
ellen K Show on Coast the beast station in the US.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
To listen to Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's the cover Durmers Coast one of three point five
for your official holiday music station. We've had a tree
up in our studio for quite a while now, so
there are trees everywhere. I'm seeing lots of holiday lights
going up. I saw something really cute on top of
a mailbox. It was a miniature Christmas tree with working lights.

(07:05):
Oh yeah, that was a really fun idea. My kid's
school has had a tree since last month for Halloween.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
A Halloween tree which they then turn into a Christmas tree.
That's very smart.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
You can then turn into a New Year's tree, and
then you can turn it into a Valentine's.

Speaker 7 (07:19):
I did that. It made me really happy. But today's
Happinessack was inspired by this talk back we just go.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Hey, guys, love the show. Am I crazy for having
my tree up already?

Speaker 10 (07:27):
It just makes me so happy?

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (07:31):
So do you?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Okay? Sweet?

Speaker 7 (07:34):
Okay, So you're not crazy for having your tree up
this early. So they looked at They studied people who
decorate early, like right after Halloween versus right after Thanksgiving.
Those who put it up earlier were found to be happier.
Putting your decorations up, even if it's not the full tree,
just starting to sprinkle out some decorations, it genuinely lifts
your mood. Festive lights and colors triggered nostalgia, childhood memories,

(07:56):
and a sense of anticipation for the good times ahead.
So there is no such thing is too early. And listen,
we're wall to wall Christmas. Maybe take a Q from
coast once we go.

Speaker 10 (08:05):
You go.

Speaker 6 (08:07):

Speaker 2 (10:33):
Comes out drops at.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Midnight tonight, and Ariana Grande is definitely the star of
the film. And there's so funny when you go online
and some of your social media, you'll see memes about
Ariana Grande and Cynthia Revo where they're just pulling each other.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
I notice that they're always touching.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah, there's no personal space, Betine, two of them. But
Cynthia Arrivo did is such a cool feel good thing.
She made an emotional return to her old school and
the girls choir, and they didn't know she was coming.
So she was with BBC Radio and she walked in
on them singing her song and all of the girls

(11:18):
started to cry. It was so beautiful, so she sang
with them. Can you imagine, like you go back to
your high school and you're Cynthia Rivo and then you're
singing with the very teacher who taught you and the choir. Anyway,
she gave them some great advice as well, and had
some pretty really.

Speaker 12 (11:36):
Wonderful teachers who helped and guided. But you start to
figure out what you want and don't be afraid to
ask for those things, don't be afraid of dreaming of
those things, and then don't be afraid of the hodway
that comes from it.

Speaker 5 (11:51):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
She definitely worked hard, and look where she is now.
And we've got your four packs coming up, So let's
make some magic.

In case you're new to the show, welcome something we
do at this time every day.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
You're l n k Q and A.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
My son named this feature before we started ten years ago.
So I want to do this thing where we ask
a question and the first caller with the right answer
gets a prize. And he said, well, you should call
it the len KQ and.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
A sold.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
He was a teenager. If he's thirteen, all right, thank you, Kelvin.
It's the LANKQ and A. Twenty five percent of men
refuse to do this even if it's beneficial to them.
Twenty five percent of men refuse to do this even
if it's beneficial to them. What do you think that is?
It's eight hundred nineteen nine kost. We'll get your guesses.

Speaker 6 (13:49):

It's a good luncheon between the others.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Okay, all right, well, Susan, what is your guests?

Speaker 12 (14:21):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Twenty five percent of men refuse to do this even
though it could help them.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
They refuse to take pills or vitamins.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Oh, okay, that's a great guess. It's not the right answer.
Try against, Susan.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Oh, I have a great day, have a good one,
you too. We go to Coasta Mason. Now Will is
at work? Hi will O, Hey, welcome, thank you. What
is your guest? What do you think it is?

Speaker 10 (14:45):
What?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Well?

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Twenty five percent of men refuse to do even though
it's beneficial to them. A. That's a tough one. I
think it's hard for men and women to say I'm sorry,
I'm wrong. Rank yess, really, great guess. Not the right answer.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
So I'm wrong.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Well, I don't want to say you're wrong. I don't
like to say you're wrong. I like to say you're
not right. I'll admit that I'm not right. Okay, Fred's
in Downey.

Speaker 13 (15:16):
Hi, Fred, Hey, good morning. How's every ring?

Speaker 1 (15:19):
Hey, we're all doing great. We understand you're on your
way to work, but first you want to play the
llen KQ and A of course, okay, Fred, men refuse
to do this even though it could be beneficial to them.

Speaker 13 (15:32):
Okay, Well, my first instinct was, probably like everybody else,
was going to say, apologize because a lot of guys
won't do that. But I'm going to say they don't
want to date a girl that has a twin, maybe
for the drama, or you're never gonna what could happen.
The good thing, though, is if you if you cheated
and got caught, you could just go hey, I thought
it was you, oh Fredding. But anyway, it's just a while.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
You're a wild man. It's not the right answer, Fred.

Speaker 13 (16:06):
I'm so sorry, not as sorry as I am.

Speaker 9 (16:11):
Now.

Speaker 13 (16:12):
You guys have a wonderful day. And I love the show.
Love the show.

Speaker 14 (16:14):
Oh we love you.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Thank you. Okay, Becky calla Mesa, what do you think
it is?

Speaker 4 (16:20):
I think it's a therapy.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Therapy twenty five percent of man refuse to do this
even if it's beneficial to them. Therapy, Go to therapy.
What a great guest here on therapy Thursday. And you
are right, it's go to therapy.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
You're going to Vegas. It's a whole weekend for you,
new kids on the block in Vegas.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Oh my god, my.

Speaker 11 (16:44):
Thirteen.

Speaker 13 (16:44):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
She actually wanted my husband to do a whole camp
for thirteen birthday and we could not talk him into it.

Speaker 1 (16:51):
Oh, not only are you going to the show, but
you've got a two nights day at park MGM and
a gas card for the road, a whole fun road
trip with your Oh.

Speaker 6 (17:01):
My god, thank you guys, so much of last day.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Sure is, it's therapy Thursday, but twenty five percent of
men refuse to go to therapy even if they know
it will help in your therapy Thursday, our licensed therapist
coming up just after eight.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
Bang, it's the L and K Morning Shell.

Speaker 12 (17:21):
You God give up?

Speaker 2 (17:22):
Oh yeah, thirsty for more?

Speaker 4 (17:23):
Oh marry Christmas.

Speaker 5 (17:27):
Post one oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Top stories Top of the hour. Good morning, I'm Ellen K.
And let's talk about kissing for a second. A new
study sought to find evidence of the very first kiss
and get this, it definitely predated humans. The report finds
it happened twenty one million years ago. It first started
within a group of apes and was then mimicked by Neanderthals,
who passed the practice along to Homo sapiens. They say

(17:52):
it's a deep rooted evolutionary behavior and if you want
to hear the least sexy, most textbook definition of kissing,
this study delivered that they define it as quote an
interaction of oral to oral contact with movement of lips
and mouth parts involving no food transfer. Our friend Will
Ferrell talked about it with us and he's still very confused.

Speaker 10 (18:12):
I know.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
It's just you kind of mush your lips together in
a way and then you press that part of your
face against the other person's corresponding part of their face.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Thank you, Will Ferrell. One we're kissing.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Fun fact, polar bears also kiss each other. Okay, so
what about this? A Talent agency United Talent Agency, one
of the biggest UTA has signed a cheese to secure
placement in films, television shows, and streaming content worldwide.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
It is Parmegiano Reggiano Consortium.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
So the agency will leverage its expertise in global connectivity
across entertainment and culture to introduce Parmesan to a white
pull of partners to further its message of gastronomical excellence
and eye quality ingredients.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
Thanks Uta for sending that memo right over.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
And after months of complaints from neighbors fed up with
the constant pop pop pop echoing from the public courts,
the city council in Carmel has voted to ban pickleball altogether.
This is the first ban of pickleball in California. That
is some some really groundbreaking stuff. And congrats to Brenda
Madrigal of Van Nuys. She's excited to take her three

(19:25):
year old son Jason to Almo's Got the Moves at
is Sesame Street Live.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
And we have those four packs for you all throughout
the week.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
And what a beautiful week, well at least this morning
and then the rain is coming in. We're going to
gather those clouds and then around noontime we might have
another bit of a storm rolling into a heavier band tomorrow.
Seem Valley in Southgate, you both go to fifty five
year highs today and here in Burbank, it is fifty
kost Los Angeles Coast, one of three point five presented

(19:53):
by Celsius Energy Drinks and your four pack to our
private holiday party coming up twenty after every hour as
just ahead, keep it here to win.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
It's the L and K Morning Show. Marry Christmas Coast
one three point five.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Sarah Dash is here. It's Therapy Thursday, and we are
in it. The holidays. I love the holidays, Sarah. Do
you like the holidays? I love the holidays, right, I
know you do. Of course.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
It's just so cozy and I just look forward to
just time together and time with the family and just
kind of time to do nothing.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
Yeah, but yet do everything.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
All right.

Speaker 1 (20:32):
So we got a letter, and this one comes to
us from Brandon, and he says that his brother and
brother's wife will not budge during the holidays. They all
have to work around them, so they do their own
Thanksgiving and their own Christmas, and you just have to
work around me if we want to be together as

(20:52):
a family. Okay, Now, when my husband and I got married,
we had agreed to rotate. Yes, you know his parents,
my parents like that. But in this case, Brandon's brother
is not budging.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
I think that he does have.

Speaker 10 (21:07):
I mean, you can't force a sibling to celebrate holidays
in the way that you want them to anymore than
he can force other people into his orbit.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
I guess I'm thinking, like, you grew up with this person,
and you're used to a certain holiday celebration, whether it's
we all go to mom's house and we sit around
the table, or you know, we all wake up together
and we're together on Christmas.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
And now he's got a new family in the mix
and he just wants to be with them.

Speaker 10 (21:39):
I think there could be some real grief here. And
you mentioned it's a loss of maybe tradition of what
someone knew before, and lives do change. People grow up,
they marry. It's just I don't like it when anybody
takes a really hard line.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I'm only going to do this this way. Yeah, what
is that person?

Speaker 3 (22:03):
What? What?

Speaker 2 (22:04):
How do you classify that personally? I am not going
to budge.

Speaker 10 (22:08):
I think we can look at that in terms of rigidity.
It's a little could be a little bit of a
rigid personality, see that type of my way or the
highway individual. It can be really hard to connect with people.

Speaker 7 (22:21):
There's a thing that we do I figured this out
with we attach a lot of a lot more meaning
to holidays. Okay, so my brother and his family just
moved to San Diego. I was very excited. I was like,
what are you doing for Thanksgiving? Of course I'm going
to be there, right, And he's like, oh, We're actually
going to spend it with friends. And that made me
sadder than if I was like, what are you doing Sunday?
Just some random day?

Speaker 2 (22:39):
Like the day? Yes, I think we give we assign
such importance to the day. And his first one here too,
I mean, yeah. Then in the hindsight, I'm like, you
know what, I didn't want to spend it with you anyway.
It I didn't mean to pilot. No, I hear what
you're doing.

Speaker 7 (22:57):
I know I already felt bad enough, so plans Yeah, Helleni,
I'm still looking at all.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Okay, well, look at least you have freedom, and in
Brandon's letter, there is no freedom.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
There is just just like you know, I think this
is happening a lot.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
We're seeing that half of all people who are going
into family situations have pre planned the conversations and how
to steer clear of drama. And it sounds like Brandon's family.
They can't even all get together because the brothers just
sitting there. I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do, and
you can see me when you see me. So if
you're having any holiday challenges, it's eight hundred and ninet
