Fantastic news if you are battling cancer or if you've
just beat cancer. Optimistic news from Royal family. Kate Middleton
is feeling strong enough after cancer treatment to return to
the gym. She's gone from cycles of chemo to soul
cycle classes. Yeah, so she's in doing very well. She's
back training at the gym. It's a miracle story. She

(02:48):
was really very ill. And more than one hundred singers
partnered with the nonpartisan group Headcount to encourage voter registration.
Sabrina Carpenter was the most influential of those. About thirty
six thousand and of her concert goers registered to vote
for the election yesterday. And she is dating movie star
Barry Keegan. Was that movie Selburn. He did admit that

(03:12):
in the naked dancing scene, it's all him. There were
no prosthetics used, and he said he didn't even think
about it. He didn't blink and eye that he thought
that the scene required the nudity. Had it not required
the nudity, he wouldn't have done it. But he also
for the first time admitted that he's in Lorve with

(03:32):
Sabrina all.

Speaker 8 (03:33):
I'm gonna say is Yeah, I'm incredibly blessed such a strong,
independent lady who's massively talented and yeah, very special.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
He got really nervous. But there are definitely a couple.
There have been a lot of breakup rumors. So if
you follow Barry and Sabrina, good for them, and you
can dig and you're looking for twenty after for those

Oh my god, I'm so excited.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Where are you going right now? Why are you up
so early?

Speaker 7 (04:36):
I'm actually on my treadmill.

Speaker 4 (04:38):
Oh nice?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Do you put it up in a slant like? Do
you do the incline?

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yes?

Speaker 7 (04:44):
I do.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Here's the real question though, do you hold onto the
handles with the incline or do you let go and
really hit those glutes?

Speaker 5 (04:52):
I let go?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Oh yeah, Cole, Nicole?

Speaker 1 (05:02):
All right, well, congrats, we're gonna get all your info.
We can't wait to meet you at the party.

Speaker 7 (05:06):

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Are you traveling? Ryan says? The crunch is on for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Already predicted to be our busiest Thanksgiving. It just keeps
doing this every year. More people travel. And so what
tomorrow will be three weeks till Thanksgiving? So today will
be the day that many are flying three weeks from today,
So that travel rush is coming. Ellen, I know you
said you're going to Dallas visit your mother in law.
File this away when packing this guess for everybody. Instead

(05:41):
of ziploc bags, throwing your lotions and potions and liquids
all in the same gallon bag, or however you do it, Yeah,
put a balloon over everything that could spill.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
So take think of a balloon.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Okay, if you have like a bottle of a serum
or whatever, just put that in the balloon. Then tie
it off so that there's no spillage when you travel.
I always get spillage.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
It's the whole bottle in the balloon. Yes, how do
you fit it through the tiny hole?

Speaker 4 (06:10):
All the whole stretches. Have you ever seen a balloon?

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, but some of my stuff is sharp.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Like no, no, no, but I'm talking simply the liquids. Yeah,
your liquids are sharp.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
No. So you're pouring the liquid in the balloon? No?

Speaker 4 (06:26):
No, okay, all right, so follow me here.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
So you have this little like let's say you have
a little vial of something that you don't want to
pop open in transit. Okay, put that in the balloon.
Then tie the balloon. You don't pour the liquid in
the balloon.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
It just sounds she needs a visual ry.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
This hard for you to someone? Please call me eight
hundred ninety nine KOs he explain what I'm saying a lot.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
It's not work. It's like the easiest thing ever. I
actually heard this from a flight attendant. Anything spillable. Put
the whole bottle in the balloon.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
H I hear balloon? Oh my god, I got it.
It's the loss.

Speaker 1 (07:00):

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I love you and Ryan, you're getting some backup on
your happiness hacker. When we travel, put our beauty products
in a balloon, yes, to keep them from spilling.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Right, Okay, Carlos, please help me help Ellen.

Speaker 7 (07:26):
Well, as you mentioned, she she doesn't misualize what how
a balloon? Can it stretch out? Of course you're not
going to use those little ones balloons to stretch it out.
You will find a good size where which is you
can stretch the balloon. Yes, but it is true if
you put it inside it won't steal. Thank you, carl something.

(07:47):
It is really charged.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Ellen hearing this.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
I'm hearing this. So by the big balloon, the bigger balloon,
and then squeeze all your stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
It doesn't even need to be a big balloon. Each
thing can go in one balloon.

Speaker 7 (08:01):
That a good big guy.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
We're trying here new wake up with Ellen K.

Speaker 8 (08:07):
Hi.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
This is Tiffany Hattison.

Speaker 12 (08:08):
You're listening to the Ellen K Morning Show Coast one
oh three point five.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
She ready give it up. Top Stories Top of the Hour,
Good Morning of Mellen Kay with a late night win
in Wisconsin, Donald Trump has been elected the forty seventh
president of the United States of America. The crucial Midwest
swing state gave Trump the Electoral College votes needed to
cross that two hundred and seventy six threshold. He spoke

(08:34):
to supporters and the nation from mar Alago. Don't want
to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor.

Speaker 13 (08:41):
Of being elected your.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Forty seventh president and your forty fifth president. Vice President
Harris meanwhile, is set to speak sometime today. Economy proved
to be the deciding factor in the US presidential election,
and shohy Otani underwent shoulder surgery to repair a laborum
tear in his shoulder sustained during the World Series. He
suffered that in Game two. He then played for the

(09:06):
next three games, as you know, at Yankee Stadium in
noticeable pain. The Dodgers expecting to be ready for spring training.
And speaking of the Dodgers, if you want to meet
Mooki tonight, the Dodger Star will be at Dick Sporting
Goods in Glendale from six to seven. So here's the deal.
Starting at nine this morning, the store on West Broadway
will be handing out wristbands to the first one hundred
and fifty people in line. If you score one, you're

(09:28):
guarantee to pick with mooki and an autograph too. How
fun is that? And what about this? There's a Japanese
company that has launched a satellite into space made out
of magnolia wood. The satellite has been launched into the
ISS to test its durability in space. The idea is
to explore sustainable materials for space construction. Previous tests have
shown wood can withstand the harsh environment of space, and

(09:51):
now this company is testing to see if wood can
replace traditional materials. It would reduce space junk. Wooden satellites
would burn up completely upon re entry. And we do
have a windy day. Red flag warning returns Wednesday, Condust
up to eighty miles per hour. We'll have the latest
on any power shut offs, road closures, all that stuff
is looking like. This wind event will stick with us

(10:12):
through tomorrow. Pasadena and Pomona up to about seventy five
today for your highs. And right now it is fifty
eight in Burbank. We run on Celsius Energy drinks. It's
Kost Los Angeles Coast, one of three point five more
four packs coming up, and we're sending you to Vegas
for tears. For fears, keep it here to win.

Speaker 6 (10:30):
This is the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 14 (10:32):
I wake up to your station, I work out to
your station, I listen to it throughout the day, and
I go to bed listening to it. Thank you for
all that you do. You guys are absolutely the best.

Speaker 10 (10:43):
Coast one oh three point five right to Ellen for
advice because she's seen a thing or two.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
She is Ellen, all right, bam. So many letters. This
one's from m M. Just the letter M Hi Ellen.
My family and I have a big problem. My dad
has always been the anchor in the family, ready to
support any of his five kids with all the hurdle's

(11:10):
life has thrown our way. Two years ago we lost
our mom, his life partner of fifty years. Dad was destroyed.
We've all dealt with Mom being gone in our own way.
The problem is our dad has been looking for another partner.
He's saying he misses our mom so much, yet he's
currently chatting and seeing three different women. He's seventy and

(11:31):
currently out of state on a blind date that he
set up with another woman. I worry that my dad
is spending money on these women, being that some are
half his age and could be taking advantage of them.
He takes them out to dinner, coffee and has been
involving himself in their lives way too soon. Plus he
should be enjoying his own kids and the family he
still has. It makes me look at my dad in
a different light. We don't know how to handle this.

(11:54):
M so just em so em I'm sorry to hear this.
I know the loss of a mother is so hard.
I saw my dad lose, you know, my mom, our mom,
and he went on for five years after and they
were together for I think sixty four years, and he

(12:16):
would always say, I don't want to ever get over her,
so he didn't date. So that was his way of
handling it. There were women at church who would pet
his soft sweaters and you know, make overtures, but he
just you know, he was polite, and he would tell
me about it. He said, I just I'm I don't
want to go have coffee with anyone.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
So much so that he wouldn't even wear that sweater anymore.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
That's right, he told me, I can't wear my soft
sweater's church anymore.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
It's getting petted.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah, so it sounds like your dad has gone the opposite.
He's seventy and he is seeing all kinds of women
half his age. So I think maybe that's the way
he's filling the void of grief, because I mean it
says two years ago he lost her mom, his life
partner of fifty years. He was destroyed. I think he

(13:06):
doesn't know how to how to move on. And I
don't even want to say move on because like my
dad would say, I don't want to move on from her.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
But don't we all kind of process and handle grief differently.
I mean, who's to say which way is right? Be
it your dad's way, which was admirable and great, and
then this way, which clearly doesn't think is admirable. But
that's how his look live and let live. I mean,
this guy wants to do what he wants to do.
He's seventy.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
Let him. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:32):
I know, I kind of disagree with you, Ryan, because
he's he's not enjoying his own family. He's he's all
in on the girls, and that, okay, I think there
should be a bounce. You're right, if he's going to
date like that, I think there needs to be a balance.
There needs to be family time and girly time. Apparently
the gurly time helps him really stress, right, sure, right,

(13:56):
it's probably a fun distraction, but you know what, day
when there are no girlies around, he might crash hard.
So I think he also needs to acknowledge that his
love of his life has passed away and then have
gurly time if he still feels like it. I mean,

(14:16):
this is one, two, three, four girls, I should say, ladies, gals, gals?

Speaker 6 (14:24):
Is it worth letting dad know how you feel?

Speaker 8 (14:27):
Right?

Speaker 4 (14:29):
I'd be curious if you if if they have.

But it is not the right answer.

Speaker 14 (17:27):
Oh yeah, is that what you do?

Speaker 1 (17:29):
There's nothing like that Snickers bar. I love the combination
of the caramel and the chocolate and the nuts.

chocolate when you're filling down.

Trump was Mogul, Milania was muse. Let's see, Barack and
Michelle Obama were Renegade and renaissance. Bill Clinton was Eagle,
Hillary was Evergreen, and Chelsea was Energy. And what about this?
The top Christmas toys making kids wishless so far? Hot Wheels.
I'm so happy that they're still popular. I love playing

(21:40):
hot Wheels with my son Calvin when he was a boy,
and that is at the top of the list. Also
Sesame Street, Chicken, Dance, Elmo, and Mister Beast. Lab Mutator
is an action figure with a unique unboxing experience, and
Amazon has gotten FA permission to test out a new

Speaker 1 (22:40):
We love your letters.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Thanks you ll advice because she's seen a thing or two.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
She is Ellen. All right. We got a letter from
m hi Ellen. My family and I have a problem.
My dad has always been the anchor in the family,
ready to support any one of us kids with all
the hurdle's life has thrown our way. Two years ago
we lost our mom, his life partner of fifty years,
and he was destroyed. We've all dealt with Mom being

(23:08):
gone in our own way, but the problem is our
dad has been looking for another partner. He's saying he
misses our mom so much, yet he's currently chatting with
three different women. He's seventy and he's out of state
on a blind date that he's set up with another woman.
I worry that he's spending money on these women, being
the summer half his age. So he loses his wife

(23:29):
two years ago and now he's dating up a storm.
The family feels it's way too soon, and it's making
them look at their dad in a different light. Em
finished the letter by saying, we don't know how to
handle this. And I was talking about my dad when
we lost my mom. He didn't want to He didn't
want anything to do with with dating or moving on that.

(23:50):
I just want to keep her in my memory, in
my life and my soul.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I thought it was sweet the way he said I
never want to get over her. Yeah you know, yeah,
But look Ellen, that's him, and this is M's dad.
I mean, this is everyone handles this differently totally.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
See Raymond, So you're emotional about this, Thank you for
hanging on to talk with us live on the air.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
What do you think I think her dad's going through
something really really hard? And it may hurt him to
be around the family that he created with this woman.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Oh he sees her in them.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
Yeah, so he needs an outlet and this is what
he needs to not be alone.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Okay, all right, I think the family misses him.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
I absolutely agree. As much as he loves them, maybe
it just hurts him right now to be around them.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Well, it's been a couple of years, so I'm thinking
that maybe a balance. I don't know that that would
be my My only problem is I just feel like
he needs to get for himself but also give back
to his family. Yeah but I yeah, no, Look a
lot of us have been through that. You know, we
lose our moms and then what it's you know, it

(25:02):
turns your world upside down.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
But like what said, everybody grieves in their own way.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Yeah. Well, thank you, Raymond, Thanks for the call.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Oh thanks for having me on. You have a good
rest of your day.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
All right, you too.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
All right, A lot of calls about em what should
you do? Daddy's likes the girlies, and Daddy's trying to
consume as many as possible. It sounds like that's four
I count four. He takes them out to dinner, coffee
dates and has been involving himself in their lives way
too soon. He should be enjoying his own kids and family.
He still has life. Like I said, Ryan, I still
think I know that you say do it all.

Speaker 4 (25:35):
Yeah, the guy's seventy. Let them let him do what
he I don't know do he wants.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
I think that he should give a little back to
the family. Yeah, all right, So it's eight hundred and
ninety two nine KOs team. Wear your calls and your

And also you know they've lost their mother and now
the dad is out dating upstorm. It's only been two years,

(27:16):
so thanks for all your advice to m.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
And just to point out too, it's not like he's
going from one girl to the next.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
He's juggling right. He's got three currently in the stable.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
And then he went on a blind date to meet
another one out of state. It was a flight. So
this guy's spending a lot of time and energy on
his love life and then not enough with the family.
So the family's like, look, you know you have us too.
We're grieving too. We miss you and now we've already

(27:47):
lost our mom, are we going to lose our dad?
To all the girlies. That's how I feel. I feel
like there needs to be more of a balance.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
I'll go with you on the balance, okay, And I
also think I just I'll go back to this. We
all grieve differently, we all handle our pain differently, and
