Do you love hugs? I love hugs, Okay, Darlene.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Of course.
Speaker 10 (03:17):
I will tell you that women love hugs, and this
is good knowledge for men.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
Okay.
Speaker 10 (03:21):
New science just found that women who receive more hugs,
more cuddles, more touches are more likely to be satisfied
in every aspect of their relationship. They studied thousands and
thousands of women, all ages to eighteen to seventy two,
and found that the one constant thing, the one thing
that women wanted more than anything, gave them the happiest.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Boost is touch. That is that's amazing.
Speaker 10 (03:44):
Whether it's holding hands or anything else. Recipients see it
as a message of positiveness about their their physical body
and being.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
I have to tell you my husband and I were
out with another couple for dinner not too long ago,
and we had to cross the street and he like looked,
I can grab my hand and held it and walked
me across the street into the restaurant and then kind
of did one of those tuck.
Speaker 6 (04:07):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
And my girlfriend later when we sat down, she said,
you guys are it's like you're dating or something.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Sweet.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I love that.
Speaker 6 (04:17):
Do you guys cuddle falling asleep sometimes?
Speaker 7 (04:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's like you.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
He gets too warm and also he's he's he's more
of a like a rough sleeper, you know. He rubs
his feet together and he's demonstrative that way.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
So I don't.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Try to do that, but if I do, we don't
fall asleep that way.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
But yeah, I like that.
Speaker 12 (04:38):
When we get really wild, my husband says, come here,
I'm gonna take my sleep aap ner mask off.
Speaker 2 (04:44):

Speaker 2 (05:22):
All right.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
We love starting our morning with gratitude. Jerry, what are
the top three things you're grateful for?
Speaker 5 (05:29):
Oh?
Speaker 13 (05:29):
Absolutely well. First of all, holse mine and my wife's house.
Second of all, I'd like to give her a shout out.
Her name is Barry Low Johnson and she makes IDs
for cancer patients for UCLA. And of course the thirdeing
is golf.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Okay, ely.
Speaker 8 (05:59):
Seems it's the Ellen k Morning Show.
Speaker 9 (06:03):
I mean, it's so good this morning.
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 8 (06:06):
Post one three point right to Ellen for advice, because
she's seen a thing or two.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
She is Ellen.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
We got a letter from Ulia, but her husband Darryl,
so they went on a flight back here to Burbank.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
It was Seattle to Burbank.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
And they couldn't sit together sometimes, you know, when you board,
it's just not for you. So you've got to see
where you can. It's not that long of a flight.
She wanted to nap anyway, but she was awakened by
the sound of her husband, Daryl, three seats behind her,
lapping with the cute girl that was seated next to him.
He even shared his AirPods with her while they watched
(06:47):
something on his phone. Let's see, she said, am I overreacting?
I sent them canned Margarita's and then he got mad
because he thought that that was gaslighting.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
It's a little passive aggressive, I think.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So do This is what I would have done if
it was my husband. We always pack a snack bag,
so I would get up out of my seat. There
are three rows behind me, and if I hear them giggling,
and I see him sharing his AirPods, which I just
could never envisioning him doing.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
But if he did, and then I would bring the
snack bag.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
And he always sits on the aisle and I would say, hey,
do you guys want to share some snacks?
Speaker 10 (07:31):
That's worse than sending drinks.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
I disagree. I think that's the that's the move. I
would just say, here's the snack bag?
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Would you jump okay?
Speaker 10 (07:44):
Would you just hand it to Roy, your husband, or
would you offer it to them both as a couple.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Oh, I would give it to him, okay, but make
eye contact with her.
Speaker 6 (07:53):
Yeah, hey, Roy, here's your snack bag.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
What if he shares with her then then oh we're
taking separate cars.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
But thank you for all your calls. Eight hundred and
ninety nine kost. So there's some flirting in the air
and Aaron, what do you think that Ulia should do?
Speaker 11 (08:13):
I don't know. Maybe have him by her something expensive?
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Oh does that work? Does that work for you?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Like, if you mess up, an expensive gift makes everything better?
Speaker 13 (08:26):
I think so.
Speaker 11 (08:27):
My wife says, sometimes I'm a little too nice, but
I'm just being friendly, you know, Yes.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Okay, yeah, because Ulia ended her letter, he hasn't always
been the perfect husband, if you know what I mean.
Speaker 13 (08:40):
Oh, okay, so this happened before then?
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Yeah, I don't know. I wish we knew what she meant.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
She even says she looked back and he had a
look on his face. She hadn't seen it in a while,
and that was smiles and joy. So I think that
they have trouble in their relationship.
Speaker 9 (08:55):
Yeah, that says it all right there.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
I need to work on the smiles and the joy
thank you erin. You know, maybe maybe she's really hard
on him, and then that would go with the sending
the canon margaritas.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
That is passive aggressive.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
I just say, to all couples who are flying pack
that snack bag, call.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Us, what would you do though this? Seriously?
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Like Julia really wants some help. I think that there
is a much deeper issue for sure. If she hasn't
seen him smile or seen joy in his face, there's
something wrong there. And then she says he hasn't been
the perfect husband. So maybe they need to have a
heart to heart and work through all their stuff so
that he can smile joyfully and she can forget about
(09:39):
his imperfections.
Speaker 10 (09:40):
Yeah, I mean this would be a great case. We
do therapy Thursdays. This would be a great case for
our therapist. So they need therapy, Yes, yeah, they do, clearly.
Eight hundred ninety nine kost give us a se L

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I was going to say some kind of power tool
like a drill or a sae.
Speaker 2 (11:00):

Speaker 1 (11:12):
Well, this one was pretty simple. Sixty five percent of
men say they've never used a shoehorn.
Speaker 6 (11:17):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
I love a shoehorn.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
It keeps the lip up, yeah, like sometimes you put
your heel in.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
It smashes it down on sneakers.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
You've got that little little hole, little strapped back, yeah, loop, yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
But you know I love a good shoehorn.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
Now.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
I used to collect them, yeah, And I had so
many different kinds of wooden ones, plastic ones, metal ones.
I had the kind that were super long. It would
say like the name of the place, like it would
say like like.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Dolly would Yeah.
Speaker 10 (11:47):
Do you want to hear something cute too? Because I
used to love shoehorns too. And when I remember for
Father's Day one year, I would see my dad get
dressed for work.
Speaker 6 (11:54):
Every morning and use a shoehorn.
Speaker 10 (11:56):
Yeah, And I thought, it's unfortunate that he has to
sit down to do this, so I may him.
Speaker 6 (12:00):
I took a yard stick oh, come on, I put
a shoehorn. Secured a shoehorn to the end of it
so we could do it standing up.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
That's so nice.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Probably one of his favorite Father's Day gifts ever, because
he's still having I think sixty.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Five percent of men have never used a shoehorn. Color twenty.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
We love this here on your field good station. What's
one good thing happening in your life? Carl Barney the
author of The Happiness Experiment, a book about happiness and
how to be happy. Carl gave money millions at a
time to loved ones and people who needed it and said,
I want you to spend this now.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
I want to give it to you.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
Instead of bequeathing it bequeathing it, I want to prequeath
it which is not even a real word. And then
you give me your happiness plan to spend on your happiness.
So this man knows how to be happy.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
And he stopped by.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
And I said, Carl Barney, what is one good thing?
Speaker 14 (13:20):
What's really really important is life is dreaming, and don't
stop dreaming. I was encouraged one time in my life
to create a dreams list, and I said, what's a
dreams list?
Speaker 6 (13:31):
How do you do that?
Speaker 14 (13:32):
And he said, well, just imagine you have all the time,
all the money, all the people, oh, everything you possibly need.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
What would you do?
Speaker 14 (13:38):
What would you dream about it? And he said, write
a list of a dozen of dreams. Said you did?
And I said, what's interesting? And I did, just dreams crazy,
let my mind go for it. But after a while
I start to realize those dreams. I had a dream
to skydive into to whitewater raft and to do all
kinds of wonderful things. And after a while, each of
these dreams has happened, and so I created more dreams,
(14:01):
and right now I'm living a dreamed life for the
American dream if you like. But it's it's dreaming. Don't
stop dreaming. Do lots of dreaming.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
It's the llen k Morning Show.
Speaker 11 (14:11):

Coast Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
We got a letter to ellen Is from Uhliah. Her
husband Daryl was flirting on a plane. They weren't sitting together,
but she's fine with that. And he sat three rows
behind her next to a pretty younger, flirty girl, shared
his AirPod with her. They were staring at his phone,
so Ulia sent him two cant Margarite. Have you ever
(14:43):
had those canted Margarita's on the plane?
Speaker 7 (14:45):
No?
Speaker 6 (14:45):
I only can do Bloody Mary's on a plane.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Okay, those are pretty good.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
But my brother and sister and I all flew together
recently and we tried them and they're really good.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
Really Yeah. They come with a little.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Packet of lime juice or maybe it's even powder line.
I don't even know, but they're pretty good. Yeah, right,
so I highly recommend them. And good job, good call, Julia.
Speaker 6 (15:07):
I don't know, a little passive aggressive?
Speaker 5 (15:10):
Are we going to, Susan?
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, all right, Susan, you heard the letter. What would
you do.
Speaker 5 (15:14):
I would trade seats with her.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Oh okay, yeah, so the two women are sitting together
and send your husband back.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
That's it. That's a really genius move. She wanted the
window seat.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
To nap, but yeah, I would take the aisle to
get him, get rid of him.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Yeah, and then make friends with her and then she
you know, yeah, eliminate one person.
Speaker 8 (15:42):

the Socks had him. But whatever, the socks need all

but it took most of the day and I went

Depot to get some wood cut.

Oh, so you have to go to the back of
the store with your boards. And then I said, I

were probably about forty inches long, right, So I just needed.

Thirteen inches cut off. So there's the board guy.

and he said, okay, no problem, and then I got

go get my tape measure.
Speaker 6 (19:35):
Okay, I'm weird he didn't have it if that's your job.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Right, And then I'm.
Speaker 16 (19:39):
Like, no goal because we both knew, me and the
other woman that we were not going to see him
again for another half hour.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Nope, yeah, and we didn't.
Speaker 10 (19:52):
Yeah yeah yeah. Can we take this back to the
trace the cord back to the wall. And why are
you getting boards cut?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Because my husband decided to rebuild the little shed that
holds our trash cans. Oh god, the doors rotted from
all the rain and he demolished them.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
So I went to get the boards to rebuild.
Speaker 6 (20:16):
Don't you guys have that neighborhood handyman though?
Speaker 1 (20:18):
His name is Steve Hills a beck And I said, Hey,
this is easy. Steve has all the tools and the paint,
and he's always in our neighborhood every day and he
loves to do it and he'll do it, I know, But.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Instead it costs a lot of hours.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
I'm not only waiting for the boards to be cut,
but also then we hung the hinges wrong, you know.
Speaker 6 (20:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (20:40):
I starting to think Ellen that Roy's not like averse
to hiring Steve to do this stuff. I think that
he's just mad that every time something has to be done.
Your first words are, I'll call Steve.
Speaker 8 (20:51):
Tell us, take me Ellen your morning show with you everywhere,
make us a precept.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
On your heart radio app.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Another feel good this morning here on the on K
Morning Show. Let's go to Miss Selina chafe Hi, home
of the Tigers.
Speaker 6 (21:11):
You have a feel good?
Speaker 2 (21:11):
What is it?
Speaker 5 (21:14):
All right?
Speaker 9 (21:14):
So my feel good story. I am a behavior therapist,
so I work with students that are on the autism spectrum,
and we have what we call reinforcers and basically what
those are our rewards that we give our students for
making good choices and doing the right thing. And it's
just something for them to work towards. So I have
(21:37):
a student and she is obsessed with hands. That is
her thing. And I spoke to her mother in passing
and she also confirmed that she loved hands. So what
I did was I jumped on Amazon because Amazon has everything,
of course, and I was on my hunt for a hand.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Did you find a hand on Amazon?
Speaker 11 (22:07):
I did?
Speaker 9 (22:07):
I had I found the perfect hand. It's the perfect
shade and it also has a full set of nails,
so it is a very realistic hand.
Speaker 7 (22:18):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
So you got the hand.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
You gave it to your student.
Speaker 9 (22:23):
I did give it to my student, and she is,
as I expected, obsessed.
Speaker 13 (22:29):
She loves her hand.
Speaker 9 (22:30):
She is holding it, she is smelling it, and she's
just having a lot of fun with her hand. So
it was a win.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
You're an amazing teacher and that is just such. It's
a great observation. And then to take the next step
and to make her feel comfortable and engaged and happy,
that's so beautiful.
Speaker 5 (22:50):
Oh thank you.
Speaker 8 (22:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (22:52):
Everyone I was telling about it, they were like, oh
my god, you bought her hand. That is so strange.
I'm like, you don't have to get it. We get it.
Speaker 6 (22:59):
Yeah, yeah, like to give you a hand.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
It's the l and K Morning Show.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Think I fall in love with you?
Speaker 6 (23:07):
Guys?
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Is that official? Are we dating?
Speaker 3 (23:09):
We are online dating the coast one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
In case you missed it here on the LNK Morning Show. Ryan,
you gave us such a great happiness hack. We're getting
so many calls and texts about it and d ms
about birds sounds and what they do to us.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (23:24):
It's a primal thing. It goes back hundreds of thousands
of years. The idea is that when people back then
heard birds, they knew that the coast was clear, like
they were safe, there were no predators around because birds
would stop chirping or fly away if anything was threatening.
So it's baked in our DNA as we have evolved
as humans to feel safe hearing birds.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
Pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Well, I found the opposite sound and this does the
opposite to our bodies. Okay, this is the sound that
you hear that instantly makes you, you know, like, yeah, okay,
you probably hear this this sound a lot. I know
that we have people who live on this. It is
your Microsoft Teams alert the anti birds sound, Bryan, bring
(24:13):
back the birds.
Speaker 4 (24:14):
Yeah, it's the Morning Show.
Speaker 8 (24:17):
So good this morning, Thank you, Coast morning, Happy Monday
morning to you.
Speaker 6 (24:24):
I well, I have a question for you.
Speaker 10 (24:25):
Yeah, so the other day, I can't remember where you were.
You'd stepped out and I think you ended up in
a meeting. But social Queen Darlene, producer Mike, and myself
were sitting here and I don't even know where this
question came from, but.
Speaker 6 (24:37):
I want you to weigh in.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Okay, oh, what is it? It's ridiculous.
Speaker 10 (24:42):
It is Ridiculous's right, But we really gave it some thoughts.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Is it one of those would you rather this or that?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (24:49):
Is cereal soup?
Speaker 2 (24:52):
No?
Speaker 6 (24:52):
Tell me? Why explain yourself?
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Because it is hard and crunchy. Okay, it's dry, Okay,
you put it in a bowl. So the only thing
has in common with soup.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
Is that you use a spoon. It's in a bowl.
Speaker 6 (25:07):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Do you think it's soup?
Speaker 10 (25:09):
I kind of do, because like soup. Okay, just think
about what is soup. Soup is an ingredient in a
in a in a liquid, that's soup. Three chicken your
noodles in a broth, that's soup.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
Cereal is an ingredient in a liquid. It's technically soup.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
It qualifies. So so is it like two to two
in here?
Speaker 6 (25:26):
Yeah? I think, yeah, here's the thing.
Speaker 12 (25:28):
I was like you instantly referring to it as hech No,
it's cold, like I think of a warm bowl of
liquid food in a bole, right, right, right? But then
I guess if you're technically speaking, which this is where
it gets on my nerves. Yeah, my husband and a
lot of the men are going to be like, well, technically,
(25:50):
so oatmeals soup.
Speaker 6 (25:52):
It kind of is I won't ask this other one?
Speaker 7 (25:54):
Then?
Speaker 6 (25:55):
Is a hot dog a sandwich?
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Well? Yes, it is right, thank you?
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Okay, I agree with that.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, Mike, where do you stand?
Hot dog is a sandwich?
Speaker 7 (26:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
I qualifies that there's a meat and there's bread, so
it qualifies. All right, it is okay, good. I'm glad
we got that out of the way.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
It's the l and K Morning Show.
Speaker 11 (26:15):

Speaker 2 (26:47):

Speaker 1 (26:48):
It's Jason Moraz's birthday, So Jason Moras quote.
Speaker 6 (26:53):
We actually this is so weird and coincidental.
Speaker 10 (26:55):
We actually believe it or not spent a birthday with
Jason Moras his birthday.

the war against unhappiness and we love you. Happy birthday
