All right, is the opposite of a diva, She writes,
songs for other people and then goes, oh wait, maybe
I'll sing that myself. She's selfless and she's all about others. Now,
the ultimate Diva tour. Maybe Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.
They could tour together.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Alone.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Legacy acts struggle to phil Arenas, but you put him
together and they could really sell a lot of tickets.
Jlo on her own didn't really sell. Mariah did really
well in Vegas, but doesn't really want a tour. So
put them all together and they would like to call
it the Ultimate Diva Tour.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
You could look at that as combustible, perhaps, given the
nature of who they are. Right, I have an idea, Yeah, okay,
Jlo can dance for Mariah because Mariah doesn't dance, uh huh,
and then Mariah can sing for.
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Jaalo because Jayo can't sing. I see no problems.
Speaker 2 (05:20):

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Okay, let's go in October.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
Okay, okay, so tell us about your happiness. Hecky, some
have breakfast. I brought in a kind of unhealthy breakers.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Yeah, but we were so excited when you delivered it.
Speaker 6 (08:01):
When you got in this morning, you go, okay, guys,
like it's a big announcement.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Look what I brought. She busts out a bag of cherries,
which is nice, that's hefty, that's good.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
These are so good for you.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (08:11):
And I was thinking, okay, this is a whole spread here,
and then you go, okay, in a fresh pack of
red vines.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
I was like, not for breakfast, and then Biscote's.
Speaker 1 (08:18):

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I brought a sleep Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Yeah, killing it out. Thanks, it's a good snacks.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
But look, here's the thing. We're racing alarms in the
early threes. We don't you know, we're blazing in here
by four fifteen. We don't have the luxury of really
sitting down to make a breakfast in the morning, and
a lot of people don't. I'm not putting us in
a different category. There's just no time. But if you
can and you do carve out a few minutes for breakfast,
you're smart.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
Literally.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
A new study has found that people who eat breakfast
in the morning score higher on IQ tests than people
who don't. So eat your breakfast, make the time, even
if you wake up ten minutes earlier, sit down, have smoaketmeal, toast, eggs,
whatever it.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Is, okay, hat to sacrifice my snooze button for some rest.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
Or some red vines. I guess one.

Top stories top of the hour. Good morning, I'm ellen
K and friend of the show and beloved Angelino. Danny
Trejo is alive. This after a wild wave of rumors
spreading online that the actor had passed away. Danny had
Instagram and said, quote, thanks for the concern, but I
am very much alive. He's been known to dabbling secrets though,
like the last time he was on with us and
confessed to loving Treyjo's califlower tacos.
Speaker 7 (09:28):
Don't tell anybody what callin flowered tacos are absolutely delicious.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
You don't have to call.
Speaker 7 (09:35):
Him a begod.
Speaker 1 (09:39):
And Howard Stearn came out with the big announcement this
morning Early, Howard and Robin are staying in place.
Speaker 11 (09:45):
Everything you've been reading in the paper about me or
about Robin is completely false. What pisses me off is
now I can't leave. I've been thinking about retiring. Now
I can.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
Oh, there you go, Howard, Well, I'm glad you stand.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
And the Guinness World Records certified a mother of two
sprinting one hundred meters barefoot over lego pieces. Gabrielle Wall
of New Zealand crossed the finish line in twenty four
seconds with several cuts on the bottom of her bare feet.
But she now has that fragging right And finally a
much need to cool down is here.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
Is Ellen okay?
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Have you ever been in the spot that Johanna is in?
Joe Hannah j o h A n Na Johannah Johannah
Johanah Johannah Johannah writes, Dear Ellen, I am so all
caps confused. I've been seeing a handsome, mustachioed, tall, good
looking manly man pilot who works for a major international airline.
(11:29):
We met through a mutual friend and hit it off
instantly because he invited me to do bai for a
first date. Since then, we've been on some pretty amazing
trips Paris, Iceland, the Bahamas, places I never thought i'd
see in my life. He told me recently he sees
a life with me and he'd like to be with
me forever. Here's the problem. I'm not physically attracted to him.
(11:52):
I hold hands with him, I kiss him, I show affection,
but I don't feel fire in my belly, so to speak.
I keep hoping it will grow, that maybe over time
I'll feel spark, but so far it has not happened.
I feel torn. Part of me thinks I'd be crazy
to walk away from all the experiences and the adventures
and the stability he's offering me. But I'm torn and
feel guilty because I love the lifestyle, but I'm not
(12:13):
one hundred percent in love with him. Should I stick
it out and see if my feeling's deepen or is
it unfair to him and to me if I stay
feeling so unsure? Thanks Johannah. Sounds like she's having fun,
you know, sounds like he's having fun.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Maybe he's moved too fast.
Speaker 12 (12:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
Well, the attraction's not there. It's not there, but maybe
it will grow, but maybe it won't. I think it
comes down to what you prioritize. Look, we unfortunately know
some people who would choose a life of that over
true love.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
We do, everyone does.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
In the Gilded Age, which I love to watch on HBO,
Max and the Big Rich Family in New York marries
their daughter off to the Duke England because they wanted
to have this power base of royalty, New York Royalty
and British Royalty. She does not love him, she's forced,
but then over time she falls in love.
Speaker 6 (13:12):
With him, like real love though, or does she just
learn to kind of tolerate him?
Speaker 2 (13:16):
It seems real like they become friends.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
But is there fire? I'd live in a car with
someone who gave me that fire in my belly, as Johannah.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Said, really, yeah, yeah, I have to be a bigger car. Yeah,
but I would do it a bigger one like three rows. Yeah,
I would do that.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
Well, Johanna's confused. Dear Ellen, I am so confused.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I like the way she describes him, handsome, mustachioed, tall,
good looking, madly man pilot.
Speaker 6 (13:43):
Here's the question, though, Yeah, can you create? Can you
create it? Can you create that fire? If it never existed?
Speaker 1 (13:51):
She says, I hold hands with them, I kiss him,
I show affection, but I don't feel fire in my
belly so to speak. So that means she never got
the butterflies or or all that stuff. Yeah, but maybe
it will develop.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Have you guys, Mike and Ray. Have you ever like
I've dated a guide hdn't. I wasn't attracted to it
didn't last long. It was a long time ago. But
I went out with Jeffrey.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
I mean, I think she should just settle.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
I mean, Paris, Iceland, Bahamas, just go with it.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Come on, why not? But Ryan, you're out?
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Oh no, I'm not doing this, Okay, me, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
I feel like I really don't know. I really don't know.
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Johannah, it might. I mean, maybe we don't know how
long they've even been dating. Come on, her first date
was Dubai. Maybe she's just overwhelming.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
Shot stop it.
Speaker 2 (14:44):

felony charges for registering her dog to vote.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
This happened in two elections.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Laura at Yorix even went so far as to post
about it online, showing a picture of her dog Maya
wearing an eye voted sticker. Laura is facing six years
in state prison if convicted. And Pope Leo has canonized
the first ever Catholic millennial saint, a young computer whiz
named Carlo Acutis who passed in two thousand and six
at only fifteen years old from a cute leukemia. The
(19:31):
Pope called him a relatable role model who used technology
to spread faith online, something Leo praised as a masterpiece.
And what about this wide Receiver Hunter Renfro almost misgetting
a spot on the Carolina Panthers when his daughter's busy
watching Blue on his phone ignored all the calls pouring
in from the team's coach and their dad's agent. Luckily
(19:52):
it all worked out, but it's a great reminder to
check your phone after your kids use it. On another note,
the Bluey movie is coming in just over a year,
so that's all good. But Hunter said he told his daughters,
next time a call comes in, please stuff everything you're doing,
let me know.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
And there's a new phone in just for kids.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
It's called tin Can, a Wi Fi phone designed it
looks like a can, It's round in shape, has the
curly cord, and it only makes voice calls to numbers
parents approve, with no apps, Internet or text. Parents say
it gives kids the independence to chat with friends without
the risks of smartphones. Demand is so high that tin
Can is now back ordered until December. I have to
(20:33):
get some of those and give them to you for Christmas.
All right, Finally, I much needed cool down is here.
Heis today around eighty five. You're going to keep on
sliding through the week seventies. By tomorrow, amante eighty five.
Your hiel segundo, you will see eighty and it is
seventy here in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
It's coast one of three point five.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Okay, coming up, we have more responses to our letter
to Ellen. Johanna is not attracted to her handsome pilot boyfriend.
She doesn't know she should stay in the relationship. And
also we're going to send you to a very wonderful
holiday tradition.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
All the details on that are coming up. Keep it
here to win.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
La wakes up with The Ellen k Morning Show. Thank
you for making a smile even on bad days.
Speaker 7 (21:17):
You guys always make a smile.
Speaker 4 (21:19):
With good music and good humor and good laugh Post
one O three point five.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Can't wait to reenact my lap photo with Ed Sharon
every time we were together at an awards show and
on the Voice and he's on the stage, he comes
back and we do our little lap selfie in there.
Speaker 2 (21:33):
He is.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
He's one of our iHeartRadio Music Festival performers and we
are coast with the L and K Morning Show.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
We love your letters.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Challenge right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a
thing or two.
Speaker 11 (21:44):
She is Ellen.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Okay, we got this one from Johannah. Dear Ellen, I'm
so confused, all caps. I've been seeing a handsome, mustachioed, tall,
good looking manly man pilot for a major internet national airline.
We met through a mutual friend and hit it off
instantly because he invited.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
Me to do buy for our first date.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Since then, we've been on amazing trips Paris, Iceland, to
the Bahamas, places I never thought i'd.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Seen my life. He told me recently he sees a
life with me, and he'd liked to be with me forever.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Here's the problem. I'm not physically attracted to him. I
hold hands with him, I kiss him, my show affection,
but I don't feel fire in my belly, so to speak.
Do I stay or do I go? Johanna get a
lot of calls about this, and a lot of women
who have called I've seen themselves in this situation. Not
the exact same one, of course, but very similar. Some
(22:44):
guy offered one of our listeners a house. She said, no,
what about I buy your car? Ryan, You went out
with someone who wanted you to buy them a car.
Speaker 6 (22:57):
After three dates, I was asked if I could pay
off the car.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
That was the final date. I no, No. This has
been corroborated by several people and and the nerve.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
Then she called one of our mutual friends and said
he wouldn't pay off my car.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Next, all right, well let's get to Maria, West Covina.
You heard the letters letters to Ellen. Every Monday and
Wednesday we read your letters from Maria, you say, give
this guy a chance.
Speaker 7 (23:32):
I don't know. I mean, like you said, maybe she'll
learn to love him. Either that or take take a
match to her feet and light it up and see
if she gets sparked, any sparks or anything. But she
says he's a good man, and everything is like I
don't know. Sometimes women they have a good man and
they just don't want them, you know.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
So she'd be a fool to throw this one away.
Speaker 7 (23:52):
Exactly exactly. She's just doing prioritize what you want. I mean, yeah,
you know, and nowadays, what do you really dave and
still love nowadays? I mean, it's not like the old
days where people used to get married and you know,
fall in love and stuff. But nowadays it's kind of
hard to find love.
Speaker 1 (24:08):
So just go for the business arrangement, go for the fine,
go for the no feelings.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
It sounds lonely to me.
Speaker 7 (24:14):
No, no, no, not all that. But like you said,
maybe she'll learn to love them.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
You know, hey, she'll learn it.
Speaker 7 (24:21):
Yes, especially if he's a good provider and everything, has
a great stable job and everything takes her everywhere. I mean,
come on, some of us people will never see any
of those places.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Okay, we love you, Maria.
Speaker 7 (24:36):
Thanks Maria, one of them. More take them. Thank you,
have a good day you too.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I guess the question is can love grow if there's
no spark there now?
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Is it possible it'll spark up later?
Speaker 7 (24:50):
No?
Speaker 6 (24:51):
I fully believe that that you cannot create passion where
it never existed. You can't and not love. You can
learn to love anybody. Love is fine, you can love somebody.
But I'm talking that passion, the thing she said, it's
missing in her belly.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, she says.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
I hold hands with him, I kiss my show affection,
but I don't feel fire in my belly, so to speak.
The first time my husband kissed me, I was levitating,
of course, you know, yes, she's even though he's a pilot,
she's still on the ground.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
That was good. Thank you, That was very good.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Thanks Ryan. Thanks for acknowledging.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Should I stick it out and see if my feeling's
deepen or is it unfair to him and to me
if I stay when I'm not sure? Johannah, I mean,
I know it's.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
A TV show.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
But on the Gilded Age, the duke and the daughter
from the New York family, they grew on each other
I mean he was attracted to her and loved her,
and he doubted her because he could feel that she
wasn't all in. But then she fell in love with him.
Once they moved to England, into well, into the castle.
Speaker 6 (25:56):
You just said they grew on each other. This is
no different than an arrangement. They met her a friend.
There's no passion.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
That's all it is. It's an arranged marriage. What's going on?
Speaker 2 (26:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Someone's yeah, that's great.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Inside of our studio the windows are anyway. Yeah, So
it's Johanna.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
What does she do? Does she let love grow? Does
she try to? She just bail now? Eight hundred nine
nine KOSG.
Speaker 5 (26:22):
Coast one O three point five The llen K Morning
Show follow at official ellen k La wakes up.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
With the ellen K Morning Show. You love what you
guys do?
Speaker 5 (26:30):
You guys are always entertaining love the music?
Speaker 12 (26:33):
Of course.
Speaker 4 (26:33):
I put on one of three.
Speaker 5 (26:34):
Point five every weekday morning here on Coast one of
three point five.
Speaker 12 (26:38):
Ellen.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
I'm so confused.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
It's your letters to Ellen every Monday and Wednesday. And
Johannah wrote us she met a handsome, mustachioed, tall, good
looking manly man pilot. He works for a major international
airline and they were set up by a mutual friend.
Their first date dinner in Dubai. I guess that's how
(27:02):
he rolls. He sees a future with her. She's not
feeling any fire in her belly. So should she stay
or should she go?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
All right? So many calls for this one, Mara saw
you say stick with it.
Speaker 9 (27:20):
I feel like, you know, maybe she should give herself
a shot, you know, and just kind of see maybe,
you know, maybe like in a month and she kind
of like if something gross out of this, you know,
and then potentially maybe can see herself. You're actually do
in love with him?
Speaker 1 (27:32):
Okay, there are just a couple of lines in the
letter that made me a little uncomfortable.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
We were squirming over this one.
Speaker 1 (27:39):
We met through a mutual friend and hit it up
instantly because he invited me to.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Do buy for a first date. Huh you think it
was a typho.
Speaker 7 (27:50):
I don't know.
Speaker 14 (27:51):
I don't think. I really feel like, you know, sometimes
things come unexpectedly. So again, I mean, hopefully, you know,
like she can give herself a shot and then maybe,
you know, like this guy can obviously if she you know,
if you finds something shady or you know, just not cool.
Then yeah, maybe he can cut it, you know, cut
it off too.
Speaker 2 (28:07):
So okay, we'll see sounds good though.
Speaker 1 (28:10):
Thank you all righty, thank you well, Emily, thank you
for hanging on.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
So you disagree with Marisol?
Speaker 13 (28:19):
Oh well, I I feel like, if if you're going
to find that person and you're not feeling those butterflies
with them, why would you, you know, stick with that person.
It's better to prioritize finding your person and seeing that
then just traveling and getting you to buy things twenty
four to seven.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
Yeah, so you say, move on, there's something better is waiting,
probably for both of you. I mean, she's really I think,
doing a disservice to him as well, because she's using him.
Speaker 13 (28:49):
Yeah, and I don't think anybody would want that. And
if it was the other way around, she wouldn't want
that either.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Right.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
He says he sees a life with her, she's not
feeling it. Let's let's make the madness stop.
Speaker 9 (29:01):
Yeah, all right, thanks, Emily, I thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
I'm just wondering, like this tall, mustachio handsome pilot, he's
got to feel her lack of enthusiasm and and he's
he's okay with it. Thank you your calls coming can
love grows a wave, Lan waves up.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
But the l and K Morning Show, I am always up.
