Third graders at Saint Mary's Episcopal school in Tennessee designed
a wedding dress for Taylor Swift as part of a
creative classroom project after learning their favorite artist was engaged.
They used the school's own marker space, students imagine Swift's
pet cats helping design the gown and modeled it after
real celebrity wedding dresses. So they all put their noggins

(02:41):
together and they made this dress. Teacher said, the kids
took the project seriously and they hope the experience sticks
with them, building confidence and creativity they'll carry into the
future challenges.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
And they did send three D mock.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Up to Taylor Swift like doll size so that she
can have it forever. Will Ferrell turned down twenty nine
million dollars for Elf two because he just didn't like
the script. He said the script didn't feel strong enough
and didn't want to promote a movie he didn't believe in.
The sequel was written, but Farrell said it was too unoriginal,
so that is why he never made another one. However,

(03:15):
there are inside rumors that Will Ferrell is going to
roll his sleeves up and get ready for another Buddy
the Elf project, So I don't know.

massive deal worth a bill with investment from Lyric Capital Group.
He isn't giving up creative control over his music in

(03:55):
the process, so it's amazing he got that much money
and he still holds creative control rather and selling off
his life's work and walking away. He said that he
and his team wanted that partnership so they can retain
ownership and decision making power.

A lot of travel coming up.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
When you're with a lot of people and you're traveling
and there's just a lot of exposure to germs.

Speaker 10 (06:34):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
I know three of the four of us in this
studio are traveling. So yeah, the busiest airports. I'm just
gonna give you a couple of like fun things you
need to know. Okay, if you're flying into Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Chicago.
Pack your patients. Those are gonna be your four busiest airport.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
I used to have to fly into Denver all the time.
I can't stand that airport. That was the airport to
get to my dad a lot of times.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Well, what's wrong with it? It is?

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It needs it needs an upgrade. There's nowhere to sit,
super crowded, and there's no there are no there's nothing
to eat. Okay, yeah, okay, so it's got a lot
of strikes against it, but they have redone part of it.
And I was always I didn't care because I was
just always excited dead.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Well, also, don't wrap your gifts and try to check
those through because the TSA will make you unwrap them.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yep, you're right, take over your happy No, I love it. No,
all the tips are great. This Sunday will be your
busiest day pre Christmas, and then the day after Christmas
is going to be the busiest post. So this Sunday,
if you're flying again, get there early. Always turn on
your overhead vents in the plane, wipe down your trade table,
sanitized hands. This isn't new information, but here is a

(07:40):
team of researchers got together and found the healthiest seats
on a plane, the seats least likely to get you sick.
Middle of the plane window seat. Okay, direct middle if
you can direct middle window seat. You want to be
as far from the labs as possible. Okay, so that's center.
That's if you're flying Southwest and you can, you know
you're boarding, pick that middle window. I had no idea.

(08:03):
Soare's only two? There's two? There's yeah, two direct middle windows.
Oh my gosh, good luck everyone.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, and feel good with the LNK Morning Show. There's
more next coast one of three point five.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Who's the love in your life?

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Who's your person? Who's your partner? Who's that who's that
one that you've met or you've married or you're with
right now? That that just feels like Home's that's how
I felt when when I met my husband.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
We dated.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
My mom knew right away the first time she met him,
she said, you're gonna marry him. But I always felt
like he's my home. And so many times when you're
with someone and you sync up right, you sink up
in so many things like what you like for breakfast,
or you're the way you drink your coffee there's just
so many little things you become You really do become
one sometimes with your partner, hopefully. Well, there's a new

(08:55):
study that suggests that romantic partners actually catch each other's
kind of like language and sentences. So if you complete
the other person's sentence or you talk at the same time,
you have synced with that person. So think about it, like,
you know, you're sinking your data.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Right, right, that's what you're two. That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
So when you're with someone that you love, your data sinks.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
It's like when you get a new iPhone and they
just put them next to each other and everything just
goes into the other phone, right, That's what it is. Yeah,
it's true.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
There's a scientific study when when couples are really in sync,
they will finish each other's sentence and they'll talk at
the same time. And so many times in this studio,
Ryan and I have looked across each other. We're not
a romantic.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Couple, no, but we are a couple have been for
a long time, you know, friends, my longest relationship. By
the way, I.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Don't know, I know you're not gonna say that, but yes,
I'm your longest guess who else's longest relationship.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
I am secrest. Yeah, I know, so something with my ryans.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
But anyway, this has been happening in the studio a lot,
and it just happened this small We talk at the
same time and say the same thing. Listen, he's working
two hours that we know. It happens all the time.
So when I saw this study, I thought, you know,
whoever that person is in your life, tell him that

(10:16):
you know.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
You like being synced. You're syncd up, your data is
being shared. Hey, Ellen, when are your top stories next?

Speaker 5 (10:26):
It's the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (10:28):

Speaker 1 (10:29):

Speaker 5 (10:34):

Speaker 2 (10:37):

settas or ziplock bags of turkey and gravy.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
She is Elan.

Speaker 12 (13:26):
All right.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
This one comes from Rachel. Dear Ellen, my fiance Caleb
just broke off our engagement after five years being engaged,
five years of planning a life, five years of holidays, birthdays,
family dinners. He chose now, right before Christmas to tell
me that we've changed and that we've lost our spark.
Here's the part that really hurts. He wants the ring back.

(13:48):
I stood by Caleb through medical school. I believed in
his dreams so completely that I put parts of mine
on hold. And now as he's about to become an
MD and step into the life we talked about, he's gone.
I feel humiliated. I'm in my mid forties now and
can't ignore the fact that my child bearing years were
taken from me while I waited for our time. Now

(14:11):
I'm supposed to start over competing with women half my
age while.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
He moves forward. What do I do?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Can I take legal action? I don't just feel single,
I feel erased. Rachel, Rachel, we are so sorry that
this has happened to you. With Caleb five years engaged.
I have a girlfriend who is with a guy for
eight years engaged. No, he wouldn't ever get engaged, but

(14:38):
she kept waiting and waiting and it never happened. So
Caleb and Rachel planning their life together, five years engaged
and now he's going to become a doctor. She sacrificed
a lot for him, and he's like, see you later.
Do you have any friends that went through this or
maybe you're going through it?

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Not to take anything away from Rachel's pain, but isn't
this kind of the unspoken risk you run into when
you enter a relationship. You just hope that the two
of you stay on the same page. Isn't that I
mean that's always gonna be a risk of a relationship,
is that it ends.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
For five years they were planning their life together, so
you know, everything was centered around we're engaged. We're engaged,
we're getting married. He's going to be a doctor, and
we're waiting and we're going to do this. And now
he says that they've grown apart and they lost their spark.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
It is horrible when one person that hurts, when one
person really gives their life up to support the other's dreams, yes,
you know what I mean. Like that feels like an imbalance.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
And for Rachel, she said, I'm in my mid forties
now and can't ignore the fact that my child bearing
years were taken from me.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
So she is angry.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
But I want to say, Rachel, you know I know
people who've given birth in their forties, So don't worry
about that. I mean I think that that. I think
she's really hurt. So everything is piling on. But if
you are in this kind of holiday pickle and this
has happened to you or someone you know, give us
a call so we can help out.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Rachel.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
It's eight hundred and ninety two nine kost do you know.
Caleb's a ring and we're gonna get right to you.
But we also have this for you. So it's it's
from It's from Horizon, and it's the twelve Days of Giveaways.
Your one stop shop for holiday savings. We're taking Collar
twenty to win some high tech prizes. This is a
fun handheld gaming system. So I think you might know

(16:32):
what that is. Yeah, yeah, oh, Color twenty a fun
handheld gaming system. This would cheer of Rachel, the'd be

an affair.

Speaker 1 (20:52):
She was just visiting, and she was visiting, walked on.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
She happened to walk into one of the side rooms
to go like use the phone or something. They were
in there and she said she was like, I feel
it all over my body.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
Oh my god, I lean as you knew. And they were,
oh my goodness, Oh no. Yeah, that whispering gives it away.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
But you're going to Stevie Wonder's House full of Toys concert.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Congratulations, Thank you so much, Thank you, like you know,
to sleep.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
It doesn't mean everyone who whispers at work is having
an affair, but it's the top sign that your coworkers
are having a secret romance.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
So if they are, that's the number one giveaway. After
that is staying late, then long lunches. This is the trifecta.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
It's the morning.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Show, the worst toy maker in the world.

Speaker 10 (21:47):
It's a cottonheaded Ninni Muggins Post one three point five.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Every Monday and Wednesdays, we read your letters to Ellen.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Right to Ellen for advice because she's seen a thing
or two.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
She is, Ellen, Well, I gotta tell you we really
have seen a thing or two with all your letters too.
My god, so many situations and the holidays aren't always
happy for everyone. Rachel wrote to us, Dear Ellen, my
fiance Caleb just broke off our engagement after five years together,
five years of planning a life, holidays, birthday's, family dinners,

(22:20):
he chose now, right before Christmas, to tell me that
we have changed and that we've lost our spark. I
stood by Caleb through medical school. I believed in his
dream so completely that I put parts of mine on hold.
Now that he's about to become a full time MD
and step into the life we talked about, I feel humiliated. Plus,
I'm in my mid forties and can't ignore the fact

(22:41):
that my child bearing years were taken from me. Now
I'm supposed to start over competing with women half my
age while he moves forward.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
What do I do?

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Can I take legal action? I don't just feel single.
I feel erased. Rachel. So, Rachel, We're so sorry you're
going through this. I think you did the right thing
writing a letter to Ellen because there's so much good
advice out there and people who have also been through
what you're going through, and so you won't feel so alone.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
I think we can all agree there's no legal action
to be taken, right, all right?

Speaker 2 (23:14):
Like, how do you what if someone took your baby
making years? And I don't agree that your baby making
years are over, but I can see how.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
It feels that way.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Yes, yeah, what about the ring part? He wants the
ring back? I say, do you want it back? I mean,
do you want to keep you want to keep it?
Some women have their ring their diamond made into a necklace.
When Rachel and Rod divorced Rachel Hunter and not Stuart,
she kept the ring and made it into a necklace. Yeah,

(23:47):
so you could do that, but I don't know, Like,
if the ring reminds you of a painful thing, why
do you want anyone?

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Wellluse, it's not a wedding ring, it's an engagement ring.
I feel like the wedding ring has a little more
sentimental depth.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Right, Like this was the value took? Yeah and all
that right, that's right, So this is an engagement ring.
He wants it back, all right? So Stephanie, what's covena?
So many calls for this, this struck you? What's your advice?

Speaker 6 (24:15):
You know?

Speaker 7 (24:17):
I feel for her, but I want her to know
that there is hope. I had a similar thing happen
with somebody for many, many years, and you know it
was always oh, next year, next year, next year, and
one day I just you know, opened my eyes and
figured you know it's not going to happen. Met somebody
shortly after who is much younger than me, and we

(24:38):
are now married. We have a six year old daughter,
and I couldn't be more thankful for the experience.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
When you say much younger than you, how low did
you go?

Speaker 5 (24:50):
He's like, you know.

Speaker 7 (24:51):
Between you know, like eighteen years younger. But okay, eighteen
eighteen and anybody, anybody in my family listening to this
right now to know, Okay.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Well, look you found your guy.

Speaker 7 (25:04):
Yes, and I'm telling you it's the greatest experience of
my life. I'm loving my life. I love my husband,
love my child. You know, it's a beautiful life. Yeah,
and you know it didn't come without hearting.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
It happened to Mary on selling sunset.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
She met someone eighteen years younger and they're very happy
building a life.

Speaker 7 (25:24):
Together exactly, So it is possible.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
You're not really, Mary, are you do?

Speaker 4 (25:30):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
I'm not.

Speaker 9 (25:33):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
Happiness is happiness and we love that for you.

Speaker 7 (25:36):
Way to go stuff, Yeah, thank you so much. Have
a merry Christmas, all.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Right, you too, So Rachel? Did you hear that?

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Stephanie says, don't worry about it. You're gonna find your way.
And it's really hard, especially at the holidays that this
is happening. But if you stay here, more calls come in,
more advice for you, and one thousand dollars it's your
holiday cash coming up.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
I see, Ellen K Moore.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
I love the Christmas ball I wish you could play
them all year, and I hope that you stay with
us after the Christmas music goes away.

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Oh I do, I do, But I just love this
time of the year.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Okay, happy holid do you guys?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (26:10):
Post one O three point five?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
My good morning?

Speaker 2 (26:12):
Your colored twenty No way, yes, way.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
What's your name?

Speaker 6 (26:23):
Stephanie?

Speaker 1 (26:24):
All right, Stephanie? Where are you calling.

Speaker 6 (26:25):
From from Brea, California?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
All right? Are you at work?

Speaker 11 (26:30):
No?

Speaker 6 (26:30):
I'm driving to work right now.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Okay, it's traffic moving for you. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
Well, first of all, thank you for having us on
in your car. We love being with you every morning
here on the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
I love I love hearing you.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
I've been hearing you every day.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
It's just a huge motivation to be able to hear
Christmas music right now with all the stress that's going
on with this holiday.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah, yeah, I no kidding.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
I know it's a great it's a great getting and
so is this one thousand dollars so we hope.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah, the greatest Christmas ever. Stephanie, Well, thank you so much.

Speaker 6 (27:06):
I really appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (27:07):
We appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
It's one thousand dollars, your greatest Christmas ever, and we're
not gonna stop.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
We won't stop. There's more where that came from.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
It's the LANK Morning Show.

Speaker 11 (27:18):
Marry Christmas.

Speaker 5 (27:20):
Coast one oh three point five.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
We're the LK Morning Show. It's Coast one a three
point five. Rachel writing us a letter to Ellen dumped
a Christmas time not good fonce of five years, give
me the ring back, bye, Rachel. You know he stood
by me as I got my medical career going.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
But we're done.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
So Rachel's sad. She said, I don't just feel single,
I feel e raced. What can I do? I'm supposed
to start over competing with women half my age while
he moves forward.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
I wouldn't jump that far ahead to worry about who
you're competing with.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Right, Well, I think all of everything like she's she's
looking at like just the global view and it's all
coming down on her head at once.

Speaker 12 (28:02):
These things never make sense while they're happening, correct, But
then when in the future you're.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
Like, oh, you look back and think, wow, that was
supposed to happen. Caleb did me a favor. Well, let's
go to Brenda. Brenda Torrence, you want to say something
to Rachel.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
I would tell my girl. I would say, hey, pull
up your pants and put on those big girl briches.
Your guys out there, you're something. Be proud of yourself.
You're going to find your yang and yang. You're going
to say something and he's gonna say it at the
same time.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Right, Yeah, exactly, Yes, that is right. Science says that's
when you're in sync. And obviously Rachel and Caleb fell
out of sync. Or maybe they never were and she
had this dream and she was kind of stuck in it.
Maybe maybe he's freeing her for a reason, good reason.

Speaker 6 (28:55):
That's true, that's true, and God will provide, right.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
That's right, Brenda. I've always heard it's better to be
alone than to wish you were. It makes sense, you
know what I mean. Sometimes in the wrong relationship you
just go, oh, I can't do this, So she'll find it.
She'll find the strength you will.

Speaker 6 (29:12):
Thank you guys for everything you do there.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
Thank you. We love doing it.

Speaker 6 (29:17):
Take care.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Yeah you too, Rachel. That's good advice. Put on your
big girl pants, you know. Take a cue from Megan
Train or buy some gifts for you.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
I'm buying gislil Me.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
Do's that I'm buying Slow me wake up with ellen K.

Speaker 11 (29:32):

K and a lot of turmoil with a foil terrorist
plot here in Los Angeles and other cities.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
Sheriff Robert Luna is putting us first.

Speaker 10 (29:52):
Yeah, public safety is my top priority. It's a top
priority for everybody in law enforcement. It's really every day
of the week, but it does intensify during the holiday
season because you have more people out, you have more
people gathering during the holiday season.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Yeah, he's assuring us that everything is going to be
okay here in LA and it's going to be a
very merry Christmas for anyone who matches all six numbers.
And Tonight's Powerball one point two five bill up for
grabs your cash option five hundred and seventy two mil
out the door. Oh and what about this a Lionsgate
TV project about the gambling scandal surrounding Epe Misuhara, the
former translator for Showhe has found a home at Stars,

(30:33):
so that it's going to be a serious on Stars
and Rob Reiner's concert film follow up to this past
year's final Top two, The End Continues, is on hold
following the director's murder this past weekend. The rockumentary features
the fictitional fictional Happy Metal Band in concert at Stonehenge,
starring Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Shania Twain, also Eric Clapton,

Josh Grobin part of that So that project naturally on hold.
And there's an Ugly Sweat party tonight at the Jaguar Room.
So if you have an ugly sweater you want to drink,
dance and be merry. They want us put the word

dancing is required, and the Jaguar Room is super super
fun on sunset here in La if you've got some

(31:16):
time to go, take your ugly sweater out and show
it off to the world. Plus the fog is burning
off right now. We are eight days from Christmas. It's
feeling like summer in the Southland, highs up to eighty.
It's fifty five in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles Coast.

She does it a big naturally the holiday season, her
Aspen home, her reindeer, her children, sledding and snow. It's
Mariah Carey and three point five were the only k
morning show and today's your male deadline. Get things by Christmas.
I went to Studio City Postal. Shout out to you guys.

(32:09):
They have us on there and I've been going there
for years. It's right by the post office in Studio
City and Laurel Canyon at Ventura right.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
So I go in there. There's a little line, not
along line.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
There's a lady in front of me with two giant
shopping bags full of clothing that she's gonna ship. They
were Hermes Orange shopping bags. Oh, but they weren't Hermez
bags inside because I was like, oh, what's in there?
And there were sweaters and clothing, and so I'm in
line and she's wearing this really cute plat outfit and
her hair was done so fancy, and I was like, Okay,

(32:45):
wait a minute, I think I'm behind someone that I
kind of recognize.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
And then there was like this Barbie girl lady in
front of us, and she dropped all of her stuff.
It went all over the floor. And this lady turned
around to me with the fancy hair, and she said
something that I can't repeat on the air, but it
made me laugh so hard as a blank my life.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
And it just made me laugh so hard. And then
she laughed and then she dropped.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
Off her stuff and I realized when I got up
to the counter it was Taraji Pans and oh my god.
I was like, oh my god, she's one of my
favorite actresses in the world. It was so just so
amazed and her hair that I could not stop staring
at the way her hair was done. It was just
so like decorative and beautiful. So Tarajip shout out to you,

(33:37):
and then it was really quick. Should we didn't have
to wait any longer anyway, So you're going to find
some lines, pack your patients. Your male deadline to get

And he said, that's our squirrel. And he comes to
our door every day and puts his paws on the
door for us to give him walnuts.
