it's not a huge idea to thinkthat we'll be able to synthesize on a

But also at the Forum, tearsfor Fears, They performed there so many
times, and they came on nottoo long ago to also what happened the

from when we first played there, which I think was back in nineteen ninety,
I want to say, and mywife was learning to just learning to
drive a car at that point, and I made her drive us to the

and I'm usually we couldn't find thebackstage entrance, and then fans started

(16:37):
then I follow Guy Fieri. Iknow you do too well. So this
is what he said about getting thething open. It's so hard to open
a crescent roll canister, right, you have to peel it, and then
you got to press the spoon. It's violent, and then it scares you
because it pops. It pops, right, So Guy Fieri said it best
(17:00):
because squishing that much biscuit into thatlittle space teeters on the edge of hubis
the pop is to keep us humble, to remind us all that death comes
for us. Oh guy, getyou man, This guy's a national treasure.

Yes? But it wasn't a partyIt was that we had four other

households of a total of about fourhouseholds on one line, so you had
to share the space. Yeah.Well, I somebody was using their phone.
You picked up your phone. Youcould hear them, but you had
to hang out, you know, put it down out of privacy because other
people were using the phone. Itwas interesting. Yeah, you could probably
just listen in to all kinds ofgossay. We used to listen in to
(18:07):
our neighbors all the time. Wewere awful teenagers. I was so excented
to have a private line. Sothat's what everybody had. What's the most
shocking thing about the neighbors that youever heard? I do remember that my
girlfriends and I would listen in tothis one family because we liked the boy.
He was our paper boy and wehad a crush on him. So
we just to a talked to hisgirlfriend and then he gets so mad at
(18:30):
us. That was funny. Couldyou imagine? And now instead of listening
in on phones our phones are listeningto us. Yes, exactly full circle.
Oh that's so funny. Well,Alexander Grahampall pad did that phone one
hundred and forty eight years ago today? I love this quote. When one
(18:52):
door closes, another opens, butwe look so long and so regretfully upon
the closed door that we don't seethe one that opened for us us.
Oh, he's not going, that'ssure. What's true? Yeah, it's

(28:37):
The best thing you can do inlife is forgive and love one another.
I want to talk to Sarah aboutforgiveness. We have another one.
Oh, stressy, Jesse. Ineed to bring my anxiety levels down.
Okay, we have your therapy Thursday, Sarah Dash coming up here on coast
the llen k Morning Show. Welcometo Therapy Thursday. It's your one stop
(28:59):
for therapy, and thank you forall of the issues you know that you're
dealing with every day. Yeah, life can be great and then all of

think Ellen, you probably would agreewith this that one of the bigger issues
is thinking that we don't have issuesexactly. That's so true. I'll tell
you what we do have. Wehave our own therapist, Sarah Dash gave
(29:23):
her a nickname accidentally today is aSarrapist. I don't hold now but therapy

much for coming on with us.I'm going to hook you up now on
the phone with Sarah. All right, Jesse, what's going on recently?
(29:45):
I've been experiencing a little bit moreworry than usual. I guess you can
call it anxiety, and I washoping I can get some advice on how
to manage and control my excessive anxiety. Can you tell me, just really
quickly, what it is that youfind yourself worrying about the most. I
find myself worrying about my work andlife balance a lot of times, like
(30:10):
I just don't have enough time todo everything on my day to day's.
Yeah, that's a big one forme. What is it that you feel
you are not having time to do? I feel like I haven't had much
time for myself, Okay, betweenworking multiple jobs, I just haven't had
time for myself and trying to findthat balance is causing me excessive anxiety.
(30:36):
Well, I think it sounds likefor you, you're kind of walking that
fine line of worrying about things thatyou may actually be able to take steps
to improve and also letting go ofwhat you can't really do anything about,
and that can be kind of overwhelming. Even the process of parsing those things
(31:00):
out isn't easy to do. SoI think maybe if you thought about it
in terms of what can you doand what you can't do, that was
your starting place. That might giveyou a little bit of direction, and
you know, if I can jumpin for a second stressye, Jesse,
I like that you gave yourself thatnickname. I have a girlfriend who works
(31:23):
for a really, really demanding bossand they work all day. Then he
expects them on a whim to justgo where he's going. If he wants
to have drinks as a group, not only does she have to go,
she has to stay for the entirething. If he wants to go have
a big group lunch, you haveto drop everything you're doing and go.
And these are all social situations, but it's incredibly stressful because sometimes there's a
(31:48):
situation where you have to say no, and then she feels vulnerable like,
oh no, I wasn't there Ishe going to fire me? Exactly?
Yeah, it is absolutely okay tosay know And this might seem like it's
not like therapy advice, but everyonce in a while it can be helpful
just to raise your hands and beokay, what am I going to do
(32:12):
and let the chips fall where theymay, and again know that you're going
to be okay, that you canhandle whatever it is that you're worrying about.
Do you think that's something you coulddo, Jesse. Just you'll put
yourself first in some situations. Maybedefinitely I can try and say no more
often. I think that could bea first step to try and to gain
(32:34):
some control in my work in lifebalance because it does get a little hectic
sometimes and you know it's not It'snow just become a sort of a joke
with my friends. And I likestressy Jesse, like always worried, and
you know, I really like togain back like happy Jesse. Ah's sweet.
(32:57):
And you will, I think youabsolutely, you absolutely will just keep
yourself a break real life that youcan't do every single thing all the time.
That is so common, I think, especially for women. I just
think that, like I know alot of men feel like they've got to
lead the charge, but I thinkthat a lot of women think they have
to do absolutely everything or they letthemselves down. Yeah, they do and
(33:19):
let everybody else out to you. That's a big big women. Well thanks
Jesse. You We're not going tocall you stressy Jesse anymore. Thank you
guys, thank you Ellen, thankyou everyone, and thank you Sarah Sarah
Dash our therapist. Any issue youhave in your life text us five one
oh three five, will hook youup with Sarah dash Now my friend who
works for this guy who's so demanding. I mean it's like it's like sometimes
(33:45):
he has I'm out till eleven pmand then they have to get up early
and be at work again. Sotake it back, say no, what's
the worst thing that can happen. You're not going to be at a couple
of social situations. And even ifthe worst thing happens and you that job,
maybe that was for the best anyway, right, because you're living on
the edge, yes, and hangingby a string, So you got to
(34:06):
set your priorities. I wish ourboss Paul because he's like James Bond.
I wish you'd come in here andsay, hey, guys, we're going
on an adventure. I'm not goingto have you home till midnight. We'll

and Darley are so lucky. Yeah, he went over to get it in
your tequila bottles sign or mescal.Oh you met him and he did something

He is Hollywood. It's very ownedBrian Kurranston, but a nice guy.
He is born in Hollywood. Helistens to Coast one oh three point
five. He's a mezcal called dosOmbrice. There's a wrapped vehicle right here
(35:15):
at Ambrose Liquor Store on barm andit sits there all the time because I
think they're one of the top sellers. And also what Brian Cranston and Aaron
Paul, who owned this mez cowline together, what they do is they
go to their loyalists like the firstpeople who ever carried their mezcal, and
give them these amazing displays in HollywoodOrange Donkeys right at owe of the liquor
(35:42):
stores on Sunset and right down thestreet at House of Ambrose Liquors is where
Darlene and I met Brian and Aaron, by the way, drove themselves,
no frills, no entourage, justpulled up in their own cars and hung
out. And didn't you guys getthere before them? Yeah? Yeah,
they just pulled up on their own. They did. We got talking and
like you said, I when wefound out Brian Cranston loves Coast. Yes,
(36:04):
and I do remember when you weretalking about it, seeing tears in
your eyes. And I saw thevideo we're going to post it of Ryan
standing in line waiting to meet hishero, Brian Cranston, Hollywood's very own
and you were visibly shaking. Yeah, he goes on three point five.
It goes on three point five. It's five minutes after the big hour five
(36:29):
o'clock here coasting YouTube a weekend. You're gonna love waiting guy. Can you
imagine? Said he's born in Hollywoodand he's a huge Hollywood star and he's
just a normal guy. I lovethat you guys got to hang with him.
(36:52):
When did you stop shaking? Ittook a whole day, I think,
honestly, is breaking bad. It'slike one of our favorites shows ever.
And then last year, if youguys remember it was exactly a year
ago. I was in Vegas atthe wind Yes, and I see him
walking down the hallway and I stoppedhim. We took pictures. He was
there for a wedding. I'm like, okay, we're best friends now.
(37:14):
So if you see Brian Cranston outin the wild, he is very receptive
to fans and to love. Allright. Also, Happy birthday to the
telephone. It was on this day, one hundred and forty eight years ago
Alex Bell, also known as AlexanderGraham Bell, got the patent for the
phone. And Lynnette, thank youfor calling you. You heard us talking
about, you know, party linesand stuff. So I was telling my
(37:38):
son Harrison in the car. Isaid, well, we were worse because
we used to have scanners and whenthe first cordless phones used to come in,
we used to listen to our wholeneighborhoods conversation on a scanner. What
was going on? You were technologicallyahead of everyone. I was ahead of
it. We knew the gossip ofthe block. Literally, we knew what
(38:00):
was happening in every house. Soyou just turn on the scanner, you
could hear everyone. Yeah, youcan just turn the channels and you can
listen to the conversation. It wasso good. Oh my goodness, that
was funny. What was the juiciest, Oh, you know, the juiciest
(38:22):
was an affair. Oh boy? They did they ever get busted? You
know what I believe. So Idon't quite remember the details, but I
remember that it hit the fan.It hit the fan, and then it
was just drama. But I don'tremember, you know. I think I
must have been my son's age atthe time. I think I was maybe
(38:43):
fourteen, So I don't know whatthe outcome and the bean, but I
remember there was a big commotion andwe knew what had happened, and we're
like, we're not saying anything.I don't know anything. No, No,
what neighborhood did you grow up in? Bell Gardens? Downy? That's
where all the drama the lives.Oh man, it was juicy. Well,
(39:05):
Ellen, I was gonna I wasgonna tell you the other day that,
you know how, when you guyswere celebrating your twentieth year with Ryan
Seacrest, I was like, Iwas telling Harrison, I said, you
know, I said, I metAlan when you used to work with Ricky
and we had a kiss party andI was just here from Puerto Rico and
I went on stage with you.Wow. Yeah, yes, And I
(39:31):
can remember what I was wearing andeverything, and I said, I met
her and she's like, where areyou coming from? And I said,
Puerto Rico And You're like, hey, Puerto Rico. And it was a
whole moment. Well, I'm gladwe're still together. And we're still together.

of the hour. LAPD interim chiefDominic Choi has been sworn in. He's
a feel good This is his firstmission. But as interim chief, one
(40:21):
of my primary goals is to increasemorale, talk about the good work that
they're doing, not just the badwork, and let them know that we
appreciate value what they're doing. Allright. Holding a press conference this morning,
Dominic choiceing he doesn't want the position, but the search is on.
It will take six to nine monthsto find a new chief for the LAPD.
And what about this. Two ofAmerica's favorite flavors are forming a fresh
(40:44):
and fierce friendship Hidden Valley Ranch andcheese. It's together in the same bottle.
It's all for this collab for NationalRanch Day that is on Sunday.
Cheesy Ranch with the Z of course, is made with real cheese. It's
only going to be sold at Walmartat Kroger stores for the next month.

And why we want to squeeze adorablethings. It's called cute aggression.
If you've ever looked at a puppyor baby and just felt this overwhelming urge
to squeeze them because they're just toocute, well, it's called cute aggression.
It's puzzled a lot of neuroscientists todelve deeper into its origins and implications.
(41:30):
At the core of this intriguing study, researchers monitored participants' brain activity while
exposing them to cute things, andthe finding suggested that cute aggression is a
form of dimorphous expression where individuals experiencemultiple contrasting emotions at once, so when
you see it, you want totake action and squeeze it. Overwhelming positive
(41:51):
feelings elicited by cute stimuli. Well, that's why you want to squeeze it.
And the sunshine is here mid toupper sixties. We are basking in
it. It's gonna be a beautifulday. And right now it is fifty

times to time throughout the year,But then I felt very much liked that
nineteen year old girl living when Iwas living and lived in totally we could
feel it, but it was good. It was good. It was good
(42:59):
to tote. I loved to stories, and I got to share a few
stories that I hadn't shared with peoplebefore. And there's a whole new generation
obviously that didn't live through a lotof the things that I lived through that
helped shape me as a human beingand an artist. So I wanted to
it's important to share those stories. We love you so much, Madonna,
