And his club's one of three point by. They only
came on in show's Feel Good Friday, Happy Friday, It's
gonna be a hot one.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm Ellen kay Hi, I'm Ryan Manna Social Queen Darling.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Good morning, I'm producer Mike Romos. All right, here we are.
I was out a little bit late last night. One
of our friends, Patti Rodriguez, who I worked together with
her for almost fifteen years on The Secret Show. And
she left The Secret Show and she has a whole
book line called Little Libros, and it's all about telling
the stories of her heritage and heroes. She was honored

(00:31):
with the Caesar Chavez Legacy Award last night and I
got to handle the statue and it was so cool
at Bemo Stadium, all the stadium lights were up for her.
She was on the JumboTron. I was so proud. We
were all crying happy tears. It was really cool.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
That's cool, and I love that she asked you to present.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yeah, you know, we've been French for a long time.
And I watched her. I watched her go from an
intern to now having running her own company and it
was so great. She got a standing ovation and the
entire Caesar Chava's family was there. Caesar was one of
eight kids, and then those kids went on and head kids,

(01:11):
so the grandchildren were there, and the couple of the
siblings and of course the kids. It was really so cool.
So thank you so much, Caesar Chava's Foundation. That's a
feel good. That does a feel good.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yeah, thank god, it's thank god it's.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
And if you know any dirty little boys, we've got
your solution. You want to wash him up, Sydney Sweeney's
going to help you boy.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Ellen waves up with the Lank Morning Show, the.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Best radio Station one O three point five.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Host one O three point five Host one O three
point five Inside Entertainment with Ellen.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
K Okay, let's get right into it. So the box
office this weekend is going to be another big e
all right. So it looks like Lelo and Stitch will
finish first. They're going to earn another sixty mil mission
impossible final reckoning tracking toward thirty million or more. We
also have Ralph Maccio on our show this morning. I
can't believe the Karate Kid is going to be with us,

(02:34):
so we will find out more about that. And popcorn buckets,
so they've got the karate Chop popcorn bucket. It's a
it's a box with a fake piece of wood on top,
and you karate chop the middle and it slides open
and there's your popcorn. So good.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
And Euphoria star Sidney Sweeney has teamed up with Doctor
Squatch to release aliminated edition soap called Sydney's Bathwater Bliss.
The soap has infused with drops of bathwo she used
during an ad shoot. Only five thousand bars are available
starting next week for eight dollars each. Sweeney described the
product as a playful way to encourage men to care
more about natural hygiene. The Internet's divided, all right. So

(03:13):
I was watching the news early early this morning. It
was the national news. Forget which network it was. But
the guy was all enthusiastic about this, the male anchor,
of course, and he did the whole story and he's
laughing and giggling, and they showed her in the bathtub,
and then his female co anchor after he finished the
story said okay, then right, And I think that that's

(03:37):
kind of how the world feels about this. One user commented,
this is what happens when you're admired by mostly men.
They reduce you to a mere object of desire. Some
people are calling it creepy and gross. What does Sidney
Sweeney say about it? She said, it's weird in the
best way. I love that we created something that's not
just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible. After years of people

(03:58):
asking for my actual bathwater, I thought I would just
ignore it or turn it into a bar soap.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
I think it's great that she's taking up the cause
of males carrying about. It's really good because sometimes we
do get to you. Don get a little dirty.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
Hello, you dirty little boy.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
It's the L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 5 (04:16):

(04:47):
girl and my friend Sunday. Where are you guys going
this morning?

Speaker 8 (04:52):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (04:54):
You do a challenge in Santa Monica?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Okay, A running challenge.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Yeah, whoa on the boardwalk down there? Okay, all right
at the boardwalk. Well, have a great time. Thank you,
thanks for having a song, and.

L and K Morning Show, It's the L and K
Morning Show.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Ryan asked us, what's your favorite scent? And you're listening
to us right now. Just think of it, like, what
is your favorite scent? So it's a happiness hank.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, Darlene, what's your favorite scent?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Okay?

Speaker 10 (05:37):
I was really thinking about this and it just happened
the other day. When my family is making fresh beans.
Oh yeahs in the pot, it has this I don't know.
It brings me back to like when my grandma was
cooking in the kitchen and even throwing sister fried garlic.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Forget it, it's over. He reminds me.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
Here's how you know that's a real thing for you
because your eyes were closed the entire time you were there.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
You were there. Producer Mike Bromo.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Yeah, when my wife Katie's making like fresh cookies and
cake and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I just light up.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Well, and you say citrus like a specific one. I
mean I love lemon. And again it goes back to food.
My grandmother used to make lemon merangue pies and she
was obsessed with getting the merangue right. But she would
take the fresh lemons off of their lemon tree and
she would just do it all by scratch, and then
I would be the zester, like I'd have to zest
the peel and so just that's nostalgic for me as well.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Okay, this is crazy.

Speaker 6 (06:33):
You guys are right in the ballpark, oh because the
number one.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Say what's yours?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Well, mine aren't fun like yours, Like they're not food.
Mine's after a rain.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Oh okay, yeah.

Speaker 6 (06:43):
I like jet fuel and I like burr lap okay,
top of a baby's head anyway, But yours, you guys
are way closer than I am. When it comes to
the most stress reducing scent, it is the smell of pizza.
Researchers in England found that it helps reduce your stress.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
It's just smelling it. You don't even need to eat
the pizza.

Speaker 6 (07:02):
They tracked thousands of people put them up on like
biometric sensors, all of their stress levels completely went down.
We equate it with comfort, warmth and happy memories. Just
like the three of you just shut yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
Whoa and we all said, oh.

Speaker 10 (07:15):
Is that why cruise ships always have it going twenty
four to seven?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
That could be yeah, yeah, I want pizza.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
Now, me too, sorry, Field or Fridays happen here on

how she met her best friend, Briennah.

when it comes to relationships, thirty percent of us have
done this.

Speaker 5 (14:23):
They have moving together, moved in together.

Speaker 1 (14:27):
My husband and I didn't before we got married. We
wanted to respect his mom and dad. They didn't want
us to live together, so we didn't. But moving in together,
a lot of people do it. When it comes to relationships,
thirty percent of us have done this. It is not
the right answer. It's not moving together.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Thank you, though, I have a great day.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Michelle, a caregiver. Hi, Michelle, Hi, good morning, good morning.

Yeah, like always caregiving never, there's never a break. You're
a caregiver twenty four hours a day, exactly. Well, thank

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Oh, just you do too much?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
Too much? I think just too much in gentlemen.

Speaker 5 (15:17):
And I think it can be with any relationship, friend, parents, relationship.
You know, it can be just do too much.

Unfortunately, I have been on more than I can count,
so yes.

Speaker 1 (16:13):

there were more that were not great than there were
that were great.

How did you come to go on these blind dates?

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Like?

Speaker 2 (16:27):
Were someone setting you up with people?

Speaker 8 (16:29):
Yeah, so you know, like friends of friends or like
friends of family, or you know, like some of the apps,
but you've never really met them, so they're still a
blind date. And not everybody is who they appear to
be when they're online.

hundred and seven million dollar powerball drawing, two lucky Lotto

million dollars richer after match in five. One of the

The other bought Ralph's on West Chapman in Orange. Congrats

(17:30):

balls drop eight pm, and dog attacks on postal workers
are way up from this time last year. More than
six thousand logged across the nation, but one study tops
them all. Unfortunately, it's us LA. In the past year,
Los Angeles has seen seventy seven dog versus carrier cases.
Houston number two was sixty five, followed by Chicago. And

(17:52):
there is science behind happy tears, experts explaining the crime
isn't just a response to sadness. It's the way our
bodies handle intense emotions, both and bad. When overwhelmed with joy,
our system releases those emotions through tears, helping us return
to a more balanced state. So the next time you
find yourself cry in tears a joy. No, it's natural,
it's healthy, and it's good for your body and your emotions. Okay,

(18:13):

Speaker 1 (23:13):
What you are about to hear is a magical, feel good, bonding,
warm moment between a father and a son. Have you
ever ripped packs?

Speaker 5 (23:24):
You know?

Speaker 6 (23:24):
I haven't, Ellen, but I want to rip pack so bad.
I see people ripping packs and all these posts and
I'm like, I.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Need to rip a back. Yeah, And you're ripping packs
of you know, collector cards, right, and uh, there's a
father and a son who pulled a one of one
Jaden Daniels card. Now, Jaden Daniels was born here in Fontana. Uh,
he's such a star. He went to alcohol in high
school in San Bernardino and also LSU, which happens to
be my husband's alma mater. But this is a feel good,

(23:52):
edge of your seat kind of moment. A young man
and his dad were casually ripping packs of tops now
car cards and they stumbled upon the Holy Grailey one
of one Jaden Daniels signed on card, autographed gold frame
pole Jeez, one on one, no duplicates, no second chance,
is just one card in the entire world, and it

(24:12):
ended up in their hands, this young man and his dad. So,
whether you're a season collector or just someone who loves
a great father son bonding moment, it's a reminder of
why card collecting is so special. It's not just the
stats or the value. It's about moments like this, shared, unforgettable, legendary.

(24:33):
This young man happens to be my nephew, Preston. Preston
got the one on one.

Speaker 9 (24:42):
Daniels one of one, one of one Jaden Daniels on
card autograph.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
How cool is that?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Congratulations to this duo, and that would be Preston daddy
and brother in law to meet George.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
It's an absolutely insane poll.

Speaker 6 (25:05):
Yeah, and Tops has now reposted it and it's going
It's gone madly viral this morning.

Speaker 1 (25:09):
And you can see it on our Coast blog. Just

I always say it worked in the car wherever you are.
And earlier this morning, three hours ago, six thirty, Mary
Lou called us. She's on our way to the DMV
and Whittier with no appointment to get her real ID.
That is brave, that's gutsy. Mary Lou has a lot
of a lot of spirit, so she was first in line,

(25:52):
got there before the gate even opened, and we asked
her to keep us in the loop. We want to
know how when she's on the line. Now, all right,
real ID you Marry Lou? How did it go?

Speaker 5 (26:06):
I'm out of DMV. I didn't get my real ID,
but I was able to renew my driver's license. So
what happened. It went really fast.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
So okay, but why don't you have the real idea
what went wrong?

Speaker 5 (26:21):
Because I didn't have the proper document.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
Okay, yeah, you need to proof of residents with your
name on it, like it could be. It could be
an insurance bill or a heating bill or what.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
I'm sure they told her all this.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Ellen, Also, you know you could do a pro tip.
I haven't gotten my real idea yet, but I did
go online and I filled out all the all the
documents you need, and then I dumped in the documentation
that they asked for so that next time you go back,
it'll already be in their system.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Right right, So that's what I'm going to have to
do if I wanted to b to the real ID.
But right now I'm good, So okay, I can drive.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
Okay, good, good, We're happy about that, Mary Lou Okay.

Queen Darlene.

Okay, besides the Dodgers and Yankees playing all weekend. Oh yeah,

Amazon Prime. I'm taking up your your request. Yes, good,

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Yay, I'll take us over to HBO Max Pee Wee
as himself a never before seen glimpse into who Paul
Rubins really was. I mean, obviously a comedic genius. He
inhabited pe he was peewee. But who was Paul? And
so we find out it's got one hundred percent on
Rotten Tomatoes he does. Yeah, it's riveting. It's a great watch.
Pee Wee as himself.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
HBO Max, Oh that sounds so good, okay.

Speaker 10 (30:35):
Producer Mike Well, I'm gonna say this because I think
we're both going Alan Karate Kid Legends.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yes, I mean, I can't wait. It's this weekend opening day,
it's out yeah today, Ralph Macchio, Jackie Chan and it's

Speaker 2 (30:56):
And he's here.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
We're so excited. Congratulations, thank you, listen.

Speaker 13 (31:01):
It's you know, that was part of what was so
important is to not lose the themes and the elements
that make Karate Kid what it is and what it
has been, and through the Cobra Kai series, which was
just such a you know, just such a mass of
success and kind of just open it up to multiple generations.

(31:22):
So it's like, how do you do a movie in
twenty twenty five. You can't do You don't do what
we did in eighty four. That was just cinema magic,
you know, that had this kind of wide, romantic feel
of long scenes played out, and they had the soulful
magic of the great Pat Maritas, mister Miyagi, and that
was the secret sauce to the whole thing. So how

(31:44):
do you tell a story for the TikTok generation it
feels like their own and still message that positivity that's
you know, just been you know, woven through the Karate
Kid franchise. I think we've we've done it for a
very entertaining family movie. You could know everything about the
lore of the Karate Kid franchise or go in blind

(32:06):
and still have a great time and then back yourself
into the entire franchise. So really excited about that. For
young people and families and positive entertainment in the world.
It's not always the most positive, so I like being
on that side of it, as are we.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
The Karate Kid Multiverse begins, and thank you, Ron Macio.

Speaker 13 (32:27):
Thanks guys, I appreciate the support. Enjoy the movie.

Speaker 4 (32:31):

beautiful weekend everyone. Savannah Bananas are in town, sold out

(33:16):
much fun, so fun, love all the dancing and the entertainment.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
And one thing that rhymes with Savannah and banana. Our
good friend Hannah is celebrating her birthday. So Hannah, we
just want to say, haven't birthday?

Speaker 1 (33:26):

quote n they kiss.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
All right.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
It was on this day in nineteen ninety nine Lenny
Kravitz walked off stage and collapsed from heat exhaustion. And
he'd been performing in a fur coat because that's what
Lenny does. So Lenny is our quote, and he says,
you're never promised your next breath. Wow, glad, you're okay.
Kiss on three, kiss on me one two three.
