your station. Enjoy the music andwant to thank you for making my day

Coast one o three point five ToughStories top of the hour, Good Morning

(00:22):
of EL and K and board membersat LAUSD have voted to band cell phones
during the school day. Officials saythe research is clear widespread use of phones
and social media are harmful to everystudent's mental health and distract from learning.
They also believe less phone use willlead to less bullying. Opponents, however,
are hoping to fight at saying kidsnow need to carry phones in case
of emergency. They also suggest it'sgoing to be impossible to enforce. Oh,

(00:46):
that's a big hurdle. The districtsays they'll have a new no phone
policy in place by January. Allthe late night hosts are talking about it.
Seth Myers with his thoughts. TheLos Angeles Unified School District vote yesterday
to approve a ban on smartphone usageand classrooms, leaving students no choice but
to vape with both hands. Man, all right, what about this?

(01:08):
Justin Timberlakes attorneys. Finally speaking outafter the singer's at dwors Tuesday morning in
New York, Edward Burke Junior sayshe quote looks forward to vigorously defending Justin
on these allegations. He said hewill have a lot to say at the
appropriate time, but is currently awaiting full discovery from the DA's office.
And what about this. Boeing senttwo astronauts into space. What goes up

(01:30):
must come down right, well, that needs to get them home. Healing
and leaks and thruster problems prompt NASAand Boing to delay their return on the
company's star Liner vehicle. No wordon when those astronauts will come home.
And this story is the pits forguacamolli lovers. The US is set to
see fewer avocados coming in from Mexico, at least for the next two weeks.
The Department of Agriculture says a wholebunch of criminal activity surrounding avocados was

(01:55):
just uncovered in Mexico. It's prettyintense too. Apparently cartels were extorting grower,
threatening to kidnap their families in exchangefor cash. And as we do
in June. We have a littlebit of a cloud cover, especially the
beaches. Then clear for sun.Highs around eighty five, way warmer for
the weekend, imps topping ninety fiveby Saturday. Stay cool today Irwindale to

(02:15):
eighty five Irvine. You'll see eightyfor your high. And it's sixty five
in Burbank. We run on Celsia'sEnergy drinks. It's KOST Los Angeles,
Coast one of three point five andwe are the only k morning show.
It's Coast one of three point five. Sun is shining. Let's have a
great Friday Eve together. Ryan,do you need me to lower the shade

(02:37):
in the studio? I think youactually? Do you mind? I am
shocked. It's so bright. It'shitting pretty pretty hard over here. Oh
thank you, Ellen, it's herlower that, thank you? Oh yeah
right, not only you can makethat sound good. Yeah, thank you.
Ellen. You're welcome. All right? Okay, So Brittany's Justin Timberlake.

(03:00):
You know, Justin in the arrestnow, the high powered lawyer.
And what a coincidence that when JustinTimberlake was leaving this hotel at twelve thirty
in the morning, then pulled overby CPS for erratic driving and then DWI
that there's the most high powered lawyerright across the street from that hotel,
and he hired him and got himthat night. And now that lawyer is

(03:23):
saying that they will vigorously defend andthat there's more to the story. All
right, But what about Britney Spears? She broke her online silence, so
she had the mug shot. Youknow, you saw. What do you
think of the mugshot? Pretty glassy? Those eyes are right somewhere else.
And it was a joke. Therewas a joke post that he was on

(03:44):
molly and poppers and all of thesudden there was a drug in there for
treating and for treating AIDS, Ithink, But now we hear that that
was a viral joke. Twenty fivemillion people tapped on that. Yep.
Huh So anyway, I guess we'llfind out what was in his bloodstream.
But Brittany shared a snap of afruity looking cocktail and told her followers it's

(04:06):
the little things, you know, with flower emojis, m what do you
read into that? With her? It's hard to say. I mean,
that could just be accepted, thatcould have nothing to do with Justin and
just just enjoying a drink, livingher flowery life. She's climbing the chart
this morning. Remember that song shesang criminal, Mama, no criminals pressure

(04:33):
its desert will be alright, Ijust can't do That's yeah. So she's
singing a resurgence on that song Criminal. So we'll have more details on that.

(04:54):
And he's moving straight ahead with thetour or two no standard celebrity rehabit.
No really, no, he's wait, he is, well, I
already had to cancel these immediate dates. He doesn't have to be in court
on the twenty sixth of July, but there are some court there are some
tour dates that he thought he wouldhave to cancel. So no, it's
full steamat. He's in Chicago withUnited Center tomorrow and Saturday, and then

(05:14):
comes back to New York for twoshows next week. Okay, you know
what I wish. I wish itwould be more fair, like a percentage
of what anyone makes. You gethit with that fee, because a standard
person, it changes your whole life, right, and it should you should
pay the cost. And in thiscase, let's make him feel that pain

(05:35):
the way we have to feel itwhen we get in trouble. Yeah.
The cop was so young and pulledhim over. He said, this is
going to ruin the tour and hesaid what tour? Yeah, I don't
even know who he was. Hejustin said the world tour. Crazy man.
Hey, it's the summer solstice aswell, so let's celebrate summertime.
We got inside entertainment. We gotyour cash. Just keep it right here.

Hack for Life. It's beach time. Darlene and the whole family at the
beach. Which beach did you goto yesterday? We went to Corona del
Mar, really nice, loaded forthe holiday, but it was really cool.
It was my toddlers like first timeexperiencing beach life. There was a
man carried out of the water withtwo lifeguards because he stepped on a sting

(10:15):
rays. No, there was alot of stingrays that's a good warning.
So Corona del Mar the beach lookstingrays. Those things hide under the sand
and then they just get you.Wow. So they probably had to have
an ambulance. He No, helooked, he looked decent. Okay,
just were helping him because he waskind of like hobbling. This is a

(10:35):
weird question. Did they sting youjust by touching you or do they have
to like hit you with their barb? Do we know? Yeah, I
think that it's a barb thing.I don't want to know. But hey,
listen, if you're going and youmaybe liked you have some kiddos or
even really for yourself and you don'twant your hands to get messy, here's
your happiness. Heck, today, use a makeup sponge to put sunscreen on

(10:58):
faces or your kids, or yourpartners or your friends. It is easier.
Again, like I said, keepyour hands clean and it's just fun.
That is incredible. How many kidsat the beach do you see crying
because their mom is putting the sunscreenon their faces or trying to spray it?
Yes, Oh my gosh, amakeup sponge. Love that. Wow.

(11:18):
I guess you could also use amakeup brush and that makes it fun.
Did you do that to Ray?Yeah? I did have to make
it up. I loved It's good. Did he smile instead of cry?
He still fought me. Yeah,it was a lot easier. Mind you
feel good? Here on the Land K Morning Show, Coast one oh

(13:07):
next a new head coach and anotherstory, JJ Reddick. The two sides
have several meetings in both sides saythey're smitten. ESPN says there's only one
step left. But what's really leftfor the Lakers and JJ Reddick at this
point is for the Lakers to makean offer, which they haven't quite done
yet. Okay, we'll wait onthat. And seems like the color of

(13:31):
summer twenty twenty four is butter yellow. According to online shopping site ASO,
searches for butter yellow have jumped ninetyeight percent on the side over the past
month. The color is all overtiktoks for you page. So love some
Hailey Beaver to Sabrina Carpenter, I'veall been seen wearing the soft, subtle

so amazing to do that if itwas affordable for Calvin's graduation. Could you
imagine, like no, but seriously, like you roll up and then it's
just his face like I did headson a stick for graduation, and then

(15:01):
also like some other posters and things. Darlene, you thank you for the
art flag. It is now plantedin the yard. But could you imagine
if I rolled up, like topick up Calvin somewhere and his face was
on the car. Think about youthough, is that you would never take
it off? Yes, doing itfor graduations one thing, but like then
peel it. Okay? This guy. I followed him Holy down Venture Boulevard

(15:22):
all the way to Laurel and Iwas just like, Wow, this guy
is a hero. He's got hiskids faces on his car. The whole
car was day to find out aboutthat. I've just never seen that before

We got in the car, wewent to the ocean. They surfed,
and then we went to the skatepark and they skated. So we did
everything was on a board, right, it was snow surf and then roller.
It's a good challenge to give yourselfsome time, Cameron. Oh yeah,

(23:15):
oh yeah, and in and outbetween every spot. Yeah, all
right, well welcome. It's forDodger game tickets and Uber eats credit.
What do you think it is?It's the top trade both men and women
want most in a partner. Youknow what I'm going to say, based
on experience, probably openness. Opennesslike hard on sleeves stuff. Yeah right,

(23:38):
are you in a relationship now?Yeah? Actually I am. And

Stingrays at Corona del Mar beaches andalso you know, the occasional shark spottings.

(26:07):
So my husband and I were talkingto Calvin because he loves to surf,
just about sharks and how loocause onein one hundred million who do get
attacked by a shark. But youknow, as parents, you're always fearful.
I mean, Darlene, when yousaw the guy get stung by the
sting ray yesterday at Corona del Mar, your kids said, I'm not goodting
in. Yeah, I'm like, kids, get a get over here,

(26:27):
let's build sand castles. Right,So, just even the threat of knowing
that we're in their home, youknow what I mean, they're there and
we're here. And then my sonCalvin said, after we said, you
know, just always have your headon a swivel. Be aware. He
said that my husband, Roy andI are traumatized because we're part of the
Jaws generation that we grew up withJaws, and that's why we're traumatized by

(26:53):
sharks. And so I guess ifyou weren't in the Jaws generation, like
you're not a parent then and youdon't have that same fear. What are
the odds again? There one inone hundred million, But it was on
this day in nineteen seventy five thatJaws came out. Yeah, just so
you know, the odds of winningthe power ball one in two hundred ninety

(27:15):
two millions, so you have betterodds of being eaten by a shark.

Katrina has done. Katrina, youkeep hurting your part partner unknowingly. Say
hello to Sarah dash My saradash Myinstitumer. So tell me what's going on.
I've recently gone through like a likea breakup with like an abusive kind
of manipulative and most of a manipulouspartner, Okay, And it's like I'm

(30:18):
having a hard time trying to like, how would I say this? Like
I feel like I'm not guilty ina relationship, Okay, I'm just having
a hard time just trying to justbe alone in a way and had to
like not feel that guilt with mywith the person I was with. Yeah,
can I ask you a question,Sarah? Also, why is it

(30:40):
that if a woman or a manis it an abusive relationship, what is
there to miss at all? Ifthey're gone? I think that even if
it's an abusive relationship, we stillhave a bond with them, and we
can actually still miss them because, believe it or not, even with an
abusive relationship, there's something that's keepingus in there. I think that whenever

(31:03):
something goes wrong in our lives, sometimes we can go to a place where
we start trying to figure out whatpart we play in that, and that
can start looking like blame. Andsome of that is that we believe that
if we somehow play it into whathappened, then we can control it.
We can make a different choice nexttime, and maybe we won't be treated

(31:26):
the same way. Maybe we canmake different choices. But part of that
is, you know, very veryincorrectly, we blame ourselves for things that
absolutely were our fault. Why dowe want to be hero Sarah? Why
do we want to change the otherperson? I think that we believe in

(31:47):
some way that that gives us value, that that's where we get value from.
This is a situation that you aregoing to completely have to extricate yourself
from. Yeah, and that meanschecking in all of that keeps you connected,
and I, you know, think, I think that that's not what
you want right now, it doesn'tsound like it. It's not what I

(32:10):
want, but it's still like I'mattachment here, It's still there. So
that's really hard to like do theclise late if that makes sense, it's
fair anymore or anything like that.Yeah, I have experienced some death of
close people next to me, andthis is a death that you have to
grieve. Yes, so yeah, all right, Katrina, hang in there

(32:34):
and keep us possible. Okay, thank you appreciate this so much. With
you hearing fays, I think youabout thank you. And if there's anything
on your mind like Katrina's, ifyou're of being alone. Really, I
know a lot of people like that. In fact, when I first moved
out here, my mom was like, Okay, don't just start dating guys
because you're lonely. So she wouldsay the follows the body that's right.

(33:00):
That was Lea say every time wetalk on the phone. Are you listening
to what I say? Don't startdating guys because you're lonely? Okay?
How did you do with that advice? I did? I did? Okay,
and then I met I met myguy. Yeah yeah, anyway,
Yeah, Therapy Thursday is here foryou eight nine kost and to yourself online

always be by his side. Accordingto one of her close friends and The
New York Post, Jessica considers Justina great dad and husband and will stay
by him. She doesn't like anyattension on family, especially not negative,
and she is filming prime video seriesThe Better Sister. She continued filming and

(34:13):
isn't gonna give any attention to whatshe's calling the distraction. A SOURCEU sare
Inset says it's by looking tired. She seemed focused on filming. So that's
how Justin Timberlake's wife feels. JustinTimberlake's lawyer is looking forward to vigorously defending
his DUI, and Justin's also receivedsupport from Gil King, Billy Joel and

(34:37):
Connor McGregor. So the lawyer says, I am looking forward to vigorously defending
him against his DWI charge, andhe's not going to do the typical sort
of I guess celebrity move where youjust jump right into rehab and kind of
hope it blows over. He's he'splaying tomorrow night in Chicago, or how
about just admitting your mistakes? Yeah, and that to be that. Yeah,

plastic and silver nano wires. Sobecause everything's getting hotter now, this clothing

thin fabric for football players, it'sa little see through. Oh yeah,
so you're compromising staying cool with everyoneseeing what you're all about. Sure right,
