We are the llen k Morning Show. Thanks for getting
up with us. Glide in your Friday with us on
a Lime glider. So Lime is expanding his feet of
electric vehicles across LA and we're really excited. This is
the launch of Lime Gliders. It's a new two wheeled
option without pedals. Calvin took one of these up in
(00:20):
San Francisco and he loved it. Wait, explain it is.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
They're not like the scooters, right, it's like foot rest
instead of pedal.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
You just put your feet onto two.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Miles like a think of a bike with noe pedals.
Oh my god, and you glide. He said, it was
really great. How fine foot rest only e bikes. And
they're arriving here this weekend, so you're going to see
the limes as The glider is meant for riders who
might have difficulty pedaling and are optimal for trips up
to three miles.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
I just got an email from them yesterday because I
used one of those Lime scooters for the World Series periode.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (00:48):
Yeah, and they're celebrating one billion rides worldwide.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh that's cool. That is cool. Right here in LA.
Since twenty eighteen, we've taken twenty two million lime rides.
So let's lime glide into your Friday.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
I'm Ellen k ryan Man, a.
Speaker 6 (01:03):

Speaker 1 (01:22):
The American Film Institute Festival is here. And Bruce Springsteen
decided to go to the Tco Chinese Theater because he
premiered his movie there with Jeremy Allen White all the
stars at the AFI Fest. And then after the movie,
Bruce was feeling so inspired he did something really special
in the courtyard. There were all the handprints and foot
prints are I'm going to tell you all about it.
(01:44):
Inside Entertainment coming up New.
Speaker 6 (01:45):
Coast one oh three point five, La wakes up with
the Ellen k Morning Show.

Speaker 6 (01:54):
Five every weekday morning here on Coast one o three
point five. Inside Entertainment with Ellen k.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Okay. So the Big Springsteen movie delivered me from nowhere.
It's getting so much award buzz and Jeremy Allen White
plays Bruce Springsteen. Imagine that. So you get the job.
You're excited to get the job, and you're like, oh no, no,
I have to like absolutely do the job. So he
picked up a guitar six months before filming, learned how
to play, and they say that he has got the
(02:22):
boss nailed. Jeremy Allen White said he never graduated high school.
He wasn't a good student. So he invited his drama
teacher to his world premiere. The guy comes gives Jeremy
a gift and was his high school diploma. Oh isn't
that sweet? He said, Oh, you didn't have to do this.
This is crazy. Why are you giving me this gift?
(02:43):
He said. He opened it up. It was his high
school diploma, and so he said, as of last night,
this is just the other night. At thirty four years old,
I graduated high school. So yeah, he said, it was
a really nice moment. But Bruce Springsteen was at the
AFI Film Fest at TCL Chinese Theater along with Jeremy
Allen White. They see the movie with all the fans
and all the filmgoers. You know, you can buy tickets
(03:03):
to that festival. It happens every year. And then afterward
he was so inspired and juiced up, you know, like, yeah,
that was great. And standing ovation. He went out in
the courtyard. Bruce Springsteen did and performed two songs. Oh
my God, everyone in Hollywood, Oh, how awesome is that?
Is Deliver Me from Nowhere. It is going to win
(03:24):
an Oscar. It's in theaters right now. Okay, let's top
World Series. Jonas Brothers and Parrell Williams are performing tonight's
Farrell Williams. He's going to take the field ahead of
Game one in the World Series, performing alongside the gospel
group of Voices of Fire, and then tomorrow game two
the Jonas Brothers. So they are also getting their hand
and put prints cemented in November and I'll be hosting that,
(03:48):
so we'll be inviting you to that. But the Jonas Brothers,
I love that.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, And today is Drake's birthday, noted Blue Jays fans,
So we just want to apologize in advance for giving
me the worst birthday of your life.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
And every team he likes loses. Also, if the one
thing I will give Toronto is that at their stadium,
which is in the middle of their city, is gorgeous.
In the middle of the city is a stadium. It's beautiful,
and there's a Marriotta hotel attached to it. You can
have a suite or a room at the Marriotte and
look right into the field.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
What a dream.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
How great is that?
Speaker 4 (04:18):
In your robe?
Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, you can watch from it.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
And your little slippers. Let's talk Canadians too. Michael Blake
Canadian torn on this World series. A proud Canadian, but
Showhy is his hero. You know, this is his walk
up song. Bill Blake talks about it.
Speaker 10 (04:34):
There's patriots and number one, my heart is in Canada.
I'm a Canadian, I'm a Canadian patriot. I fly the flag,
I believe the red and white. But but there's something
deeply sensual about watching listen. You know what it feels like, dude,
watching him go off and hearing myself and then watching
him do what he does is like I can't believe
(04:55):
that I am a small part of history.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Yes, so he didn't really answer the question. No, he
didn't answer it, didn't answer it. I think he's he's
just he's too Canadian. Yeah, sorry, Mikey. I love you anyways,
feel good Friday.

They say, really, the earliest you can start the carve
is seven days before Halloween, and that's today, because Halloween

carving gorg pumpkin, which then turns it into a Jacko lantern.
You know, it's not a Jacko lantern until it's cut.
Until it's yeh, dar will you guys, because you're you
have little absolutely you will, Mike, you and your twin daughters.

Yeah it's good. I haven't carved it up yet, but
I will.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Okay, Yeah, that's fun.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Uh, just a couple of things on this so cut
the bottom, never the top, and then you can set
the candle in a yeah, and and it keeps it
fresher longer because the top is the part that caves in.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Oh yeah, yeah. I mean it's al so sad when
that happened, I know.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
And then when you have the bottom open, don't you know,
because it gets gross and cold, and picking a hand
mixer or ice cream scooper for the guts. And then
once you have all the edges cut, petroleum jelly on
the side of.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
All of the visible edges inside.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Inside and any part that's like showing that's cut, it
keeps it longer, you know, three four times alive. Oh yeah,
and it make it smell better. Sprinkle cinnamon inside the
pump so when you put a candle in there, that
cinnamon sumi.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
This is a true pimp of a pumpkin.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
You know what else, There's one more thing I forgot to.

On my ride to work post one oh three point.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Five Top stories Top of the Hour, Good morning, I'm
Ellen K and this one's a rock in the NBA.
In Sports World, Trailblazer's head coach Chauncey billups in Miami
Heat guard Terry Rosier, along with dozens of their associates,
have been arrested by the FBI. Bureau Director Cash Ptel
calls the fraud quote mind boggling.
Speaker 15 (10:46):
It's not hundreds of dollars. It's not thousands of dollars.
It's not tens of thousands of dollars. It's not even
millions of dollars. We're talking about tens of millions of
dollars in fraud and theft and robbery across a multi
year investigation.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
This thing is unfolding quickly. When the victims refused to
pay off, that is when the mob would step in
with violence. Okay, what about this? The nominees are in
for the Songwriters Hall of Fame class of twenty six,
and here we go. Among the potential inductees Kenny Loggins,
LL COOLJ Pink, Sarah McLaughlin got David Byrne from The
Talking Heads, and Taylor Swift. The Songwriters Hall of Fame
(11:25):
established in nineteen sixty nine to honor those creating popular music,
and I'm calling it the Gladstones glow up in the Palisades.
I lived there when I first moved here, in a
guesthouse above Gladstone's for many, many years. I will miss it.
It's officially set for demolition. After weeks of back and forth,
the California Coastal Commission has decided that's what's got to happen.
Gladstone's reopened back in July following a significant rebuild from
(11:48):
the Pali Fire. They've shared the Southland for more than
fifty years. A lot of people are sad about it,
but in its place will be in eighteen thousand square
foot contemporary dining space, two levels featuring multiple ocean view decks.
Famed architect Frank Geary will design it, while Wolfgang Puck
will create the menu, bringing jobs and revitalization. So it's
a kind of a bittersweet moment for the Palisades. Okay,
(12:11):
we're all about a Dodgers win tonight, but how about
adding a mega millions went on top of it. That
jackpot is sitting at six hundred and eighty mil. It's
the ninth largest in history. It's up for grabs cash
often it's three hundred and four million dollars. So get
your tickets if you are feeling lucky. And here's a
feel good for you. Back in twenty twenty, a guy
named Ryan McLeod i got pinned under a car in
a crosswalk in England. A stranger named Christy took care
(12:33):
of him until paramedics arrived. Now five years later, they
just got married. She told her reporter she was instantly
attracted to him, even with him lying there bleeding and
checking his hand for a wedding ring. They got married
this month. They went back to that same crosswalk for
their wedding pictures. And it does feel good Friday. Share
your feel goods with us, and we got a beauty
(12:53):
on deck. Sunny clear highs around eighty five right now
it is sixty in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles. It's Coast
one of three point five five presented by Celsius Energy Drinks.
We are getting ready for more cash on Coast. To
listen for win to win. Okay, happen at any moment
if you're on Coast.
Speaker 7 (13:12):
Hi, this is sing Hey, this.
Speaker 6 (13:14):
Is Seleni Gomez with the l K Morning.
Speaker 3 (13:16):
Show, The ellen K Morning Show on Coast one of three.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
Point It's one of the best feel good Fridays and
you can feel it in the air. So listen for
Vin to win Vin Scully all throughout the morning. We
are qualifying you for Monday's game. We're gonna send you
to the World Series. So just keep it here to
get your name in our Dodger camp. It's also a
great day and a great weekend to get into some binging.
(13:42):
It's up. Watch you watch it. I'm gonna kick it
off on Amazon. Go to Amazon Prime. We are going
to watch Hollywood Hustler, Glitz, glam and scam. It is
a true story. It's a Ponzi scheme, all right. So
this aspiring actor just wants to make it to Hollywood,
(14:04):
and he does, but with really bad parts. He's a
really bad actor, and he's got these gorgeous blue eyes, right,
so he's mesmerizing. But he moves here from Indiana and
then he starts making up all of these fake connections,
saying that he works with Howard Schultz of Starbucks what
And he makes all these fake text messages and anyway,
(14:25):
he fools all these people into a six hundred and
fifty million dollars Ponzi scheme and investing in films, and
his best friends are involved. Some of them may go
to prison. No one has yet. Only he did. But
two hundred million dollars is missing, and he leaves in
his wake his wife and kids. So and you'll fall
(14:45):
in love with his wife. She had no idea. But
they were living this high life in Beverly Hills and
they were shopping and vacations and all this stuff. And
he took money from his best friends and their parents.
So this guy man twenty years in prison. They've already
taken four off of his sentence. But it's a true story.
Hollywood Hustler Glitz glam scam on Amazon.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Man, Okay, well, I'm heading over to Hulu to get
rocked brand that Rocks the Cradle from nineteen ninety two.
That movie, well they reimagined it and now it's in
la oh and the new version is out. So it's
really good. Same story so far. I'm halfway in, but
I am hooked. I can't wait for work to end
(15:29):
so I can go home and watch the rest of it.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
I love it when you love it, you love it
to you know a movie or a show that much?
Speaker 7 (15:37):
Yeah, right, And I'm going to the movies this one's
called Shelby Oaks. And you, guys, I'm so excited because
you know, I grew up in the mortuary and we
saw a lot of creepy stuff, a lot of you know,
imaginary friends, if you will. So this one's about a
woman that's searching for her long lost sister and she
becomes obsessed with this and she realizes that a demon
that they used to play with and their childhood might
(15:59):
not have been imagined it.
Speaker 1 (16:00):
Wait, okay, okay, ms. You grew up in a mortuary.
Was it hunted?
Speaker 8 (16:06):
Yes? Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (16:07):
What did you see or hear?
Speaker 7 (16:08):
We saw all kinds of images and we all had
different stories and we all saw the same thing, so
we know it's real. Oh oh yeah, I can go
on and on about it. That was in Linwood, Lynnwood, California.
Douglas Mortuary is still there, and you grew up there.
I grew up there for I was born there until
I was ten years old. I saw ghosts all the time.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Okay, tell us in the name of this and where
do we see?
Speaker 7 (16:30):
This one's called Shelby Oaks. It's out today at the theaters.
Lots of jump scares. It's documentary style and it's just
so good.
Speaker 8 (16:36):
I'm excited for this.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, I'm excited for you to reunite with your ghost.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
My god, I'm going to give us a different kind
of chill and thrill. All right, I'm going to take
you back a bit. A perfect weekend watch to keep
this dodger Mania at full tilt.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
It's called Fight for Glory. You may remember this.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
It came out back in March, a three part docuseries
Apple TV Plus, behind the means of last year's World
Series win over the Yankees. Intimate access with players, managers,
their families, the sacrifices that it takes to claim Baseball's throne.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
So if you want chills and.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
Thrills, I'm like Mike, this is your and guys, in
the spirit of revisiting the fervor that swept this wonderful
city last year, you want to run it back?
Speaker 3 (17:19):

Deep center food, threading, freeman, no man, no got money.

Speaker 13 (18:51):
The whole supermarket is designed to break down your sense
of having any kind.
Speaker 8 (18:54):
Of life outside the supermarket.
Speaker 13 (18:56):
It's like a casino. You know, there's no windows, no clocks,
accessible exits. Do you ever not buy anything in the
supermarket and trying get out of there, there's no way
out to get out.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
All right, So sign felding Vegas. This is the top sign,

certain way. Keep listening for vend Win as well.

Five, diegoes up Norwalk. You are qualified to go to
the World Series. Okay, get the shakes out. You put
your name in the hat, and you're listening for Venda Winn.
All throughout the morning, we are taking names and putting
them in the he and we're going to make the
big drawing. And this coast one of three point five
(23:04):
top stories top of the hour. Okay, the Chargers started
strong last night so far, and they never looked back.
An easy dismantling of those Viacans.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Put a ball on this baby as the Chargers dominate
from start to finish, wrap it up by winning thirty
seven to ten.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Bolts improved to five and three second in the AFC West,
not too shabby. And Dodger World Series Baseball. Okay, so Toronto,
five o'clock, first pitch, he got Pharrell, he's going to
be taking the field. And then tomorrow the Jonas brothers
and what about this, The Stranger Things finale will be
shown in select theaters after all on New Year's even
New Year's Day. So they have just made that announcement
(23:46):
this morning. And here in La the home of Netflix,
there is Netflix and Cycloviella on Melrose. Stranger Things five
one Last Ride is happening on Sunday, so from nine
to three. If you've never done it before, it is
so much fun to get on your bike and ride.
So this is the Stranger Things five. One last ride
(24:06):
you go connecting Fairfax, Larchmats, Melross Hill and East Hollywood.
So fun to see the city from a bicycle closing
down the streets. Thank you Netflix and Stranger Things and
a beauty on deck for Friday, sunny clear highs around
eighty five. What feel good? Weekend looks Bath seventy five
tomorrow on Sunday we can soak that in Laverne. You

Speaker 6 (24:44):
Coast one oh three point five and happy Field.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
Good Friday too. Yeah, Friday night lights are so beautiful
in the sky. You drive around SoCal and there they
are football games happening all over the place. Speaking of
champions so much winning going on here in southern California. Okay,
tonight number one Saint John Bosco versus number two Centennial.
(25:09):
This is gonna be insane. Also Sierra Canyon number three
versus Santa Margharita. These matchup feature highly ranked teams from
our area. They're part of the Trinity League and the
CIF Southern Section. So we love football. We say go
Loyola Cubs. I'm a Cub for life, and they are
at Shamanad and let's go now to Trinity League Division
(25:35):
one CIF Champs of twenty twenty four. You got coach
Kristin Sherman and Orange Lutheran Lancers. This is so great.
This is female flag football and the girls flag football
coach is Coach Sherman Christen, but she likes to be
called Coach Shermy. Their last matchup, they beat another team
(25:57):
fifty to fourteen. Coach, we know you're a winning coach.
What is first winning or the fun?
Speaker 14 (26:05):
Well, yesterday, I will admit we did some karaoke before
the game, so we did have a bit of fun.
And the girls are pretty excited to go to Santa
Barbara on Monday, but I'm trying to remind them that
it's a business trip. First, and we'll have our fun after.
So I think it kind of depends on the game
and your team, but my team's generally always down for
(26:26):
the fun first mentality, sometimes more than I would like.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
Okay, what is it like in the locker room after
a win?
Speaker 14 (26:35):
Well, we don't actually have a locker room, so we
just celebrate each other on the field. But one thing
that's great about our girls is win or lose, we
take the time after every game to celebrate the achievement
of their teammates. It's really fun. They're a crazy and
fun group of girls.
Speaker 1 (26:52):
Well they're led by a crazy and fun coach. Coach
sure me, we are in cis we say go Lancers,
Orange Lutheran. I love what she says too about her
girls is that they cheer each other on. They're supporting
each other, and I think that's what it's all about.
That's why we love to bring you Friday morning.
Speaker 6 (27:14):

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Top Stories Top of the Hour. Good morning, I'm Ellen
k and paper or plastic? Your days are numbered? The
question that millions of us have heard for years when
we roll up to the checkout aisle at grocery stores.
It will soon be a thing of the past. About
ten years ago, we voted to ban supermarkets and retail
stores from providing most plastic bags to shoppers, and that's
a way to reduce a litter notion pollution. But the
(30:12):
law provided an exception for those thicker, reusable plastic bags.
But now under a new state law that takes effect
on January first, twenty twenty six, those are also on
the way out. It's going to be all paper everywhere.
Some store chains, including Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, only
provide paper bags at the checkout counter. All stores still
allow us to bring our own reusables and at California,
(30:33):
mom grabbing what she thought was a regular costume mask
for five dollars at a thrift store. It turned out
to be a rare vintage version of the Scream ghost
face mask, and she later sold it online for over
seven hundred dollars. At first, it looked worn out, nonimpressive,
dirty holes in it. She noticed the brand fun World
stamped under the chin, which tipped her off that okay,
(30:53):
this is something different. It was actually from the original movie.
She listed it for one dollar and people just started
clamoring for it. So when all the way up to
seven hundred and then she sold at the original fun
World ghost Face mask and Goodwill. It's a feel good okay,
iHeart I Do. Here at iHeart Headquarters in Burbank, we
(31:14):
have five guys that walk and work amongst us who
got engaged at the same time. We are celebrating them.
Joe Danner, Andrea Johnny, Chase McGrath, David Lachin and Michael
Kahn's there is something in the water here at iHeart.
Five guys getting engaged, all at the same time. We
can't wait to see where this goes, but we say
(31:35):
iHeart I Do. Congratulations guys, all of you, the whole bunch,

Good black lay A, show me oh Tony's walk up song,
Michael Boubla feeling good and it is show hey who
hit that third home run ball during the Championship Series
(32:41):
and it landed in one lap and one lap only,
and that belongs to elite pro boxing boxer David Flores.
We go now to the boxing gym Santa Fe Springs
and David, thank you so much for coming on this show.
We are so excited about what is happening in the
South End. We're so excited for you. This ball is
worth upwards of three maybe six million dollars. Everyone wants
(33:04):
to know, David Flores, what are you going to do
with it?
Speaker 12 (33:08):
You know what? I have options and a lot of
bidders calling me that they want me to get rid
of this ball right away. Yeah, no, I don't have
any idea what I'm going to do. With the ball yet,
But I can hold it for let these other two
balls go for shelf furs. Yeah, I can. I can
go right away before he plays a little series. I mean,
(33:28):
it's showtime, show heil, honey. What if he has another
amazing game which is very capable.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Of doing that?
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah, look my advice, David. And I'm not like a
money wizard or anything like that, but I would just
hang on to it, and who knows, you know, what
if what if the Smithsonian Museum wants it or you
know someone. I mean, it's a really special, special special
ball and you have it and times on your side,
I think, what do you think?
Speaker 12 (33:53):
Ry?
Speaker 2 (33:54):
I agree, but I also get what David's saying, like
strike while the irons hot?
Speaker 3 (33:58):
What if he it's a four homer game? Then David's
all is cutting half.
Speaker 5 (34:02):
Man.
Speaker 12 (34:03):
You're exactly what this is. This is a walking this
is a walking Samurai.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
David.
Speaker 2 (34:10):
Do you ever just like open it up, and do
you ever just open it up and like look at
it like it's a newborn or something to stare at it?
Speaker 12 (34:18):
You know what, I don't need the ball to know
what I have in my hands, or I don't need
to look at it sometimes I'm in my car or
I'm alone and I cry and I screamed, because this
ball can be very really life changing. And uh, and
it happened to me. Out of all these people that
walk this earth, it happened to me. And I'm so thankful.
(34:39):
I'm just thankful. And who knows what this ball? Who
knows what can come up with this ball. But I
just hope more good comes for a minute than bad
because and that I'm able to take care of my
son and those around me, you know, with this ball.
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Well, David, we believe things happen for a.
Speaker 9 (34:54):
Reason, So thank you so much.
Speaker 12 (34:56):
You know, do things? Things do happen for a reason,
and the Lord's think to the circumstance.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
And hey, really quick, David, we're watching you on TV
just waving this ball around at your.
