Its coast one of three point five with the LNK
Morning Show. Morning Too, Ya am Ellen K.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Welcome, Ryan Mana.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
I'm social Queen Darling and.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Not producer Mike Romas. Good morning, Good morning. I felt
like cinder Ellen yesterday. Well it's the first day of October. Yeah,
late afternoon sun starting to feel crisp every now and then.
And I had to go pick up my car because
it got its inspection. And so there it was an

(00:29):
orange tigue, my version of an orange pumpkin. Yeah, Ridge,
So my orange carriage comes to pick me up. It's
an Uber and the guy behind the wheel David. Hello,
David listening to our show, loves our show. David, thank
you for making his number one with Uber drivers. And
so I said, David, I have never seen a car
this color of orange. And he said, it's not orange,

(00:51):
it's hob a narrow orange. Oh okay, So think of
a hob and arrow very close to a pumpkin. That
was my carriage. So I said, well, you just made
me send Ellen. It was fun. It was fun. Hey,
today's National Poem Day and we have our resident poet.
He's from Pasadena. His name's Gaetano. Gaetano you know, we

(01:13):
have to start the day with you and your poem.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
Go find I turned on the radio the other day.
Of course I had it on ellen K. Why waste
time with the rest when you can listen to the
best Ellen Ryan, Social Queen, our lead with Mike Caramos,
the producer, king the mere is the hot, the contest

(01:38):
or the best. The guests on the show are the greatest.
Take my advice. Listen to Coast. You'll love every minute.
It's the station with the most oh.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, upstanding, fantastic. All right, coming up, we're gonna go
inside Entertainment. We also have your cash on Coast. Keep
it here.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Coast one of three point the Ellen K Morning Show
follow ad official ellen K host one of three point
five Inside Entertainment with Ellen t all.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Right, let's go inside Entertainment. Selena Gomez and Bennie Blanco's
wedding spark knew gossip about her relationship with her kidney donor,
Francia Resa. Francia was not among the one hundred and
seventy wedding guests. Selena and Francia have been friends since
two thousand and seven and seven, not long after Francia
donated a kidney to Selena. In twenty seventeen, they had

(02:29):
a falling out. Francia stopped speaking with Selena because she
continued to make unhealthy choices like partying on her one
good kidney. So based on her Instagram post. Last weekend,
Francie attended the sixtieth birthday party of actress Constant Marie.
She co starred as his wife and the George Lopez Show.
Constance also had a role and switched at birth on ABCPM. Anyway, Yeah,

(02:52):
so it's that's interesting. I wouldn't have even thought about that.
I forgot. I would be mad too. Yeah, well, what
about this? Today is the eve of the Life of
a show Girl. Taylor Swift's twelfth album dropping tonight at
midnight tomorrow. Many of your friends will be preoccupied with
deciphering each song and imagine a lot of people won't
be going to work or school. Also today on Peacock,

(03:15):
The Swift Effect Season two drops, so you can get
into that too. It's all things tailor. And also five
hundred Target stores are the ones that are opening.

Speaker 6 (03:26):
This is probably a really naive, ignorant question. We haven't
heard any She hasn't even released a single yet, right,
we don't know any like any of the songs.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
No, no, nothing yet, okay, all right, just making sure.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, but there's also a kitchen Aid jumping in with
a dazzling orange mixer. There are only twelve to celebrate
Taylor's twelfth album, so only twelve were made. She loves
baking and she loves the kitchen Aid mixer. They really
are beautiful, you know. If you do get one, they're
just hard to store. They're huge.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah and heavy, Yeah, huge.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
And heavy, clunky. Someone give you one? Yeah, and I
gave it back.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
What am I going to do with this?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Well, there's a sweepstake to win one of those for Taylor. Also, okay,
and what about this? Kim Kardashian shared in a teaser
for season seven of The Kardashians on Hulu that someone
put a hit out on her life. It's getting really ridiculous?
Are these storylines? Also? Rob Kardashian is in it, and
he was given the privilege of not having to look

(04:22):
at any of his siblings during filming, So I don't
know what's going on. These all storylines are all being
faked out. I feel like it is.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
It's not real.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
A hit out on your life. Stop it, Rob, don't
look the girls in the eyes. Come Season seven of
the Kardashian premieres on Hulu. Okay, we're twenty third, all right?
What about on this day in nineteen fifty nine, Happy
sixty sixth birthday to the twilet.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
You're traveling to another dimension, dimension not only of sight
and sound, but of mind and journey into a wondrous
land is boundaries with that of imagination. Your next stop
the Twilight.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
So October it. Oh, by the way, Janet Jackson at
Paris Jackson reunited, you know where at Paris fashion bugging
it up?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Top stories top of the hour. Good morning. I'm Ellen Kin,
the manager of R and B singer David has broken
the silence over the death investigation of the Lake Elson
ortein found in his client's Tesla trunk. Josh Marshall is
his name. He owns a record label and media company.
It's called Mogul Vision, to which David assigned. Marshall hit
social media and said the following quote, I have zero
knowledge of anything. I don't live in California. This news

(10:56):
is tragic and I hope authorities get to the bottom
of it soon. This a private investigator uncovered in email
sent to Marshal from her family informing him of her disappearance,
an email that was left on red. He never responded.
So far, the La County Medical Examiner is not ruled
on a case or a cause of death for Celestrevus,
and David has not been named a suspect. And this

(11:17):
is pretty cool. The California DMB just announcing a new
design for our driver's licenses. The updated cards feature enhanced
security measures, including a new digital signature and images of
state landscapes. To get your redwoods, to get a poppy
and a bear. They'll have two barcodes on the back.
No more magnetic strip. Your existing license and ID card
will remain valid until they expire. The last time California

(11:38):
updated IDs was twenty ten. This is also well, it's
good news bad news. If you have a fake ID,
We're not gonna be able to use it any longer.
Just say oh man, okay. So another beauty weatherwise, Hi's
around eighty sunny mile just stellar. A great day to
celebrate our Dodgers. They did it again. So this Saturday

(11:59):
in Philly. Game time still TVD, but we will go
up to about seventy five, maybe eighty in some areas.
It is sixty five now in Burbank Kost, Los Angeles Coast.
One of three point five presented by Celsia's Energy Drinks.
All right, therapy, Do you love it? We do therapy Thursday.

(12:21):

Speaker 8 (12:26):
L and K Morning Show.

Speaker 9 (12:27):
Te KOs I love you you great and you're always
do my favorite station til I was.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
For I Love You Coast one oh three point five
Coast one of three point five therapy Thursday. All right,
therapy something that people would never talk about before, but
now everybody's doing it, and it's it's for your your
well being, it's to feel good and we are your
field good station. We have a very own therapist, Sarah Dash.
All right, gee here, there's a show on Netflix. Before

(12:53):
we get to Sarah and Coach Rick, who's on hold.
It's called Dudes, and it's a German dark and it's
out today. It follows four close knit friends in their forties,
four men, and they're grappling with modern day issues like
dating issues, parenting, job changes, all this stuff. It's a
little bit risque. I wouldn't watch it with kids. But dudes,

(13:16):
this German dark comedy series out on Netflix.

Speaker 10 (13:19):
Say.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
It's of all about these men facing therapy to get
through these situations. And if you're one of them, like
Coach Rick, you can call us at eight hundred and
nineteen nine kost Or. Hit us up online. We'd love
to get you on with our therapist, Sarah. All right,
Sarah Desh coach Rick, I want you to say hello too, Sarah.

Speaker 10 (13:39):
Hi, Sarah, thanks for taking my call.

Speaker 9 (13:41):
Hi. Rick, tell me what's going on.

Speaker 10 (13:43):
Yeah. So, I am Cocaine High School football right now,
and I'm feeling pretty frustrated with the team consistently showing
up late, not participating, not going one hundred percent. They
lave discipline, and trying to dealing with the parents to
kind of get the parents help, like to have them
be motivated with the kids. It's been in an issue.

(14:04):
So I address these issues with the parents, and it's
literally taking a home of coaching this year.

Speaker 9 (14:09):
Okay, Rick, what I think is happening is that this
is more important to you than it is to the
kids or their parents, And it sounds like you're actually
working harder than they are. And when we're in a
system that's unbalanced like that, you are really the only

(14:31):
person who has the ability to come down and meet them.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Now.

Speaker 9 (14:36):
I get that this is probably the last thing that
you want to do, but you may have to accept
the reality of the situation.

Speaker 10 (14:46):
Yeah, that's hard, especially being a coach. That's really tough.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Yeah, Yeah, you have standards and expectations, and you're there
working and giving one hundred percent. And then when you
see that, you said high school. What grade are they?

Speaker 10 (15:00):
Ninety twelve? So that's you know what, fourteen to eighteen
year old.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Oh okay, I.

Speaker 10 (15:05):
Don't have a protentive year. Then the parents are mad
about that. So that's the balance. I'm trying to have
a great year with the kids. So we have a
great year.

Speaker 7 (15:12):
Rick.

Speaker 9 (15:13):
We've talked about radical acceptance before, and I think it
might be really helpful for you to keep that in mind.

Speaker 10 (15:21):
I get that one hundred percent. I just have to
reset my mind to look at us that way. It's
going to be hard.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
I love it. Quick coaching question my son's football team.
If someone did something wrong, the whole team was punished.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
Do you do that.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (15:35):
One of my favorites I used to do was I
would make that person watch everyone do the punishment.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Oh my oh, so they get out of it and
everyone else has.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
To do it.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
Oh wow, wow wow coach Well, Sarah dash is here
to help and make you feel good at therapy Thursdays.
If you have anything any troubles, we would love to
tackle your troubles. We tackle tonight, we've got the Rams

(16:06):
and the Niners at Sofi. Coachrick, maybe you can go see,
you know, pro football. Take your mind off your kids.

the worst habit the kids.

Speaker 2 (18:39):

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Okay, like like when Ryan was little, he used to

So many adventures in life, and one of them that
I took that was one of my favorite ever was
going to see the Big Fat Bears of Alaska with
my dad and my son and my husband. We went
to Katmi and Brooks Falls. That's where those bears when
you see them all over TV and pictures, that's where
they're catching and eating those salmon. And Chunk was named

(21:27):
the winner of the Fat Bear Week. You know, you vote,
and people from all over the world chose Chunk with
his broken jaw, he still managed to get the fattest
with a broken jaw. And that's salmon is just you know,
they just put their paw out and then they just
they take it to a rock usually, and then they
just start ripping it apart and eating it over and
over and over again. And my dad loved those bears

(21:48):
so much he photographed them as his good camera and
then he he framed them. He put them up. In fact,
I have them now. I love looking at those So
in honor of Chunk, the winner of the Fat Bear
We contest. He's not the only adorable bear out there.

a guardian angel. So ten years ago something happened. What

Speaker 11 (26:34):
I called in at the radio station asking for help
with you and Ryan to pray for my granddaughter who
was having open heart surgery. Remember she was five years old. Yes, and.

We prayed.

have this little angel watching over you, and when they
have your heart opened, you will have God's little dust
go into your heart so you'll be okay. Yes, well,

dust inside of your heart.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
