And if you are going home for the holidays and
you have a Spirit Airlines ticket, wo wom mom, they
fill for bankruptcy, but they say it's going to be
business as usual Morning Show. I'm Mellane.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Hi, I'm Ryan Manel.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Hello, I'm Social Queen Darling.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I'm producer Mike Ramos. We're here with him for you.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
You know, I thought of something over the weekend, Ellen,
and I'm just going to say this. You don't have
to say this. I'm just gonna put my stamp on this, Okay.
I was thinking because we do have a lot of
new folks joining us this holiday season, and there are
two types of people in the world, those who love
the Ellen k Morning Show and those who haven't heard
it yet.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Oh wow, thanks Ran, that's awesome boy. And we were
all group texting on Friday night. I'm the I'm the
one who fell asleep waiting for Tyson and Jake Paul. Wait,
oh it did. And we flipped that day and we
had live TV in here and I was just tried.
I had it on my phone and I just right

(01:04):
next to me and then I woke up and saw
the headlines.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
You were active up until right when it came out.
You just dropped off, or like I was watching.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
The Girls, Serrano and the other one and then I
missed it. But yeah, Jake Paul, sixty million people watching
Netflix spooling not you know, really ready for it. But still,
how did it make you feel? Well?

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I don't aside from it being sort of boring, very boring,
I don't know. I guess I feel like you and
I have the same opinion. It was a little sad.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Well, we took a poll and that's exactly what people
are saying. There will be better fights at waffle house
in about an hour. Oh god, wait, there's another helmet
from a listener. I felt like a bad person for watching.
What about this one? Okay, this one's from Minnie. I
was excited for about twenty seconds and then felt incredibly
sad and almost ill. I understand Tyson's getting a massive

(01:59):
payout that's too hard to ignore, but sing a living
legend reduced to a punching bag. Yeah, and just make
make him sad?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, And now, and he's saying he's not done. He
wants to do what it does he's gonna go with Logan.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Said he almost died this summer, so yeah, I mean,
I think that it's a good example for his children.
He said, he hung in there, he said he was
going to do it, and he did it.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I felt bad for his knees.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
And then we fought more with Netflix than they Yeah,
in the ring.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
So true. And now and now Jake Paul obviously he
challenged Canelo after the fight. Now he's saying he wants
Connor in the m M A ring.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Oh my gosh, what's he doing? Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know if he's making money doing I guess.

At the end of a dome. So they better get
this before that.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
They've promised they will. This Wednesday, there's a Zendea lookalike
contests in Oakland with a grand prize of forty dollars.
Chicago hosted a Jeremy Allen White contest on Saturday, followed
by a Zane Mallick lookalike thing in New York City yesterday,
the Jeremy Allen white guy got a pack of cigarettes
and twenty dollars, but he looked just like him. I
love these lookalike contests. I think they're really fine because

(04:23):
it's amazing how there are people out in the wild
who look exactly like some of these celebrities. Okay, what
about this one. It's called Special Forces and Ryan, your
sister in law is in it. It's actually celebrities who
get put through the training that the Special Forces do. Yeah,
and it's going to be on Fox in January.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
We've been sitting on this one for a while. Ali
Fedotowski now Ellie Fedotowski Mano flew to Wales a couple
months ago to go through this insane training program. I mean,
and she's with like Brody Jenner who Cam Newton Denise. Yeah,
so she's on the show and I can't wait for
it to come out.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Oh yeah, okay, Special Forces Own the Family. Yeah, wow,
tough stuff. Well, I have a friend who is married
to Secret Service guy. Yeah, and he had to go
through some of the seal training. I'm so scared.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
It's crazy nuts the things they had them do. On
the show too, are just wild and I can't wait
for everyone to see it.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
The things that would scare me the most are the
things they have to do in the water in cold water.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
Oh yeah, and there's a lot of that, a lot
of water.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
And it props to Ali by the way, she trained
her butt off before she left, like she got herself
in like really incredible shape. Yeah, So way to go
and need it to see you well.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
At the box office, the best Christmas pageant ever at
third kind of has lived there since it opened. Venom
the last dance came in second and then red one
thirty four million dollars for number one. It's a two
hundred and fifty dollars fifty million dollar movie starring The Rock,
and he admits that they were a little disappointed at

(05:58):
that box office. And before we get to The Rock,
I saw Gladiator too on Saturday morning at the Chinese Theater.
They have turned it into the Colisseum, the Roman Colosseum.
You can go to the Chinese Theater in Hollywood and
you are entering the Colisseum. Oh, it is so cool.
Then afterward, who comes up but Denzel Washington.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Can you share that story? What he told the crowd
about how yeah driving.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah. So it was a Q and an after the movie,
and I was like, wait, Denzel Washington is here. He's
so good in the movie, you guys, Gladiated too. He
walks out with his giant soda and he sits down.
Everyone's going crazy, and then he gets up. He does
like a theatrical bow, and he sits down again and
finally everyone's quiet. He goes, you know, happy to be here.
Is the first time I've ever driven myself in forty years,

(06:42):
first time I've driven myself to the Chinese. Oh my goodness,
always getting dropped off for premieres and things. Oh, I
love that. But Denzel Washington and Gladiator too. I think
for sure he's going to get nominated for multiple awards
and the movie will as well loved it. Eighty seven
million dollars around the globe in an early opening, and

(07:04):
then that opens Friday up against Wicked, so it's going
to be a huge I think they're calling it Glad dicked. Okay,
you know, Glad don't put no Gladiator in Wicked. Sorry, yeah,
you know, like Barbenheimer, Yeah, Glad dicked. Okay, Okay, anyway,

(07:26):
so the Rock. He's disappointed in Red One also, even
though he won the weekend box office. He also talks
about his grueling workouts. He never takes a day off.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
I like to get a little sweat in, Okay, Christmas Day,
it's a whole perspective thing, and it's okay, it's just
my before Consantra's come the night before. Yeah, and so
they're there, and I like to get up before the
babies get up. Just a little sweat and just keeps
me humble, just grounded, okay and grateful on Christmas Day.

Speaker 1 (07:57):

made the reservation for the Airbnb. Didn't tell her husband,
and he saw the reservation. Oh, and she invited me
to be there, and and it's turned into a big dramaf.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
Now I'm losing, yes, you know, I hate to say
it because I don't want to see them lose. But
it was kind of nice that someone else had a chance.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
I don't know, I'm glad that he couldn't come back.

It was just he always does it, Patrick Mahomes.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
This stuffing is so good. It's so good with cranberry.

your plate's a mess.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Well, here's the why I asked. So this is your
happiness hack today. So we've heard the term comfort food forever,
but science is found now that actually it's a real thing.
I mean, comfort food has only been comforting in theory. Right,
this makes us feel good, But a new study reveals
that indulging in a favorite food significantly reduces stress. And
listen to this. The calming effects of that last for
seven days after you eat it. No way, Yes, scientists

(12:42):
say our favorite foods reduce the activity in parts of
our brain that get amped up during stressful situation.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
No, seven days, seven days. I thought it was just
an excuse, like to eat fattening.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
I know that's what we all thought.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Amazing, So if we eat mashed potatoes today for seven days,
we feel feel.

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Good or for you those gross well.

Speaker 8 (13:01):
On top of everything, holiday music, I'm Coast one o

I go to bed listening to it. Thank you for
all that you do. You guys are absolutely the best.

Speaker 6 (13:18):
Coast one o three point five Top stories top of
the hour.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Good morning, I'm ellen k and be careful with your carrots.
There's an Ekoli outbreak going on right now. One of
the sick and forty people across eighteen states, including several
here in California. The bad batch comes from a Bakersfield
brand called Gimaway Farms. See. Thankfully, those carrots are no
longer run store shelves, but health officials are warning they
may still be in your home. They were sold under

(13:42):
popular brand names like three sixty five cal Organic Gooding,
Gather Sprouts, Trader Joe's, and Simple Truths. So check your
baby carrots and do you have any black plastic kitchen
utensils like Spatula's tongs ladles. If so, health officials say,
toss them out. Stato He finds it ninety percent of
those kitchen items contain a high concentration of flame retardant,

(14:04):
a toxic material that can seep into your food, and
heat makes the leeching occur even faster. Researchers suggest instead
using silicone, metal or wood. And NASA super concerned about
an air leak on the International Space Station that could
threaten the safety of the crew on board. The situation
has reached a fever pitch as US officials are concerned
about the structural integrity of the leaking module and the

(14:26):
possibility of a catastrophic failure for the aging space Lab.
Here's what else you need to know. The astronauts are
safe and they're making a plan to either fix this
iss or bring everybody home. And a USC lab broken
amateur record launching a rocket eighty nine miles above Earth.
A team of students from USC broke that record for

(14:47):
the highest rocket launch above Earth by amateurs. The USC
Rocket Propulsion Lab last month launched Aftershock two to an
altitude of almost five hundred thousand feet more than eighty
nine miles above our planet's surface, winning a big record.
Way to go, and we do have a beautiful day
today starting the week, sunny, slightly cooler, chumpstaying sub seventy

I use mine too much and I think that's the
chapstick scam. I really think there's a because the more

then you have to use more.

Show you have such wonderful laughter, entertainment positivity.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
Just want to say how great everyone is there that
makes the ellen K Show on Coast the best station
in the US to listen to.

Speaker 8 (22:42):
Post one O three point five's Coast one of three
point five top stories Top.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
Of the Hour, Good Morning of ellen K and President
Joe Biden has become the first sitting president to visit
the Amazon, Rainforest and prepare remarks over the weekend. He
described the fight against climate change as a quote defining
part of his presidency. And there are feral EMUs named
Belma and Louise. They're on the loose in South Carolina,
and the town mayor says, we are not emused. Local

(23:11):
authorities said the flightless birds do not pose a risk
to the community. However, they just kind of live there
on the streets. They don't really have a home. So
someone caught them and put them in a kind of
rescue situation and they got out of that too. They
just want to be free. And Netflix has finally responded
to the major streaming outages plaguing millions of streamers watching

(23:32):
Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson on Friday night. Their CEO said, quote,
the unprecedented scale created many technical challenges. We know we
have room for improvement, but still consider the amount of
huge success. Sixty million people tuned in for that, and
the Rams got themselves back to even picking up the
pats in Boston, Matthew Stafford putting in a great performance,
throwing for two hundred ninety five yards four touchdowns, and

(23:53):
the Chargers also grabbing a win last night, beating the Bengals.
At so far, they're now seven and three, right behind
the Chiefs and the AFC West, who, by the way,
lost to the Bills their first el since last year
on Christmas Day. And we're starting the week sunny and
kind of cool but beautiful. We're gonna stay around seventy
for your Monday. We're gonna warm it up as we
go inch into eighty by Thursday, and then we might

(24:14):
see some rain coming up this weekend. See Southgate sixty five,
San Pedro. You go to sixty and it is fifty
five in Burbank. We run on Celsia's Energy drinks. It's
KOST Los Angeles Coast one of three point five coming up.
More four packs to our private holiday party. Keep it
here to win your way in twenty after.

Speaker 3 (24:33):
It's the LMK.

Speaker 6 (24:34):
Morning Show's feel so good this morning. Thank you Coast
one oh three point five, Thank.

Speaker 1 (24:39):

to our holiday party coming up, so don't worry about that.
It's all day long, twenty after every hour, So you're
just joining us for the only k Morning Show and
we are your official holiday music station. Maybe you're listening
on the free iHeartRadio app ticke us everywhere you go.

(25:01):
We want to shout out to our listeners all across
the nation. Right now, you heard from Winnett Kit, Illinois.
Also in Vermont, a shout out to our Niagara Falls listeners,
Tim Matt and friends, and thank you for having us on.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
We just got this talk back from Jonathan too, who
says the app.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Has saved him.

Speaker 7 (25:23):
I was so sad this year because for the first
time I don't have my radio available in my car.
But thanks to the iHeart Radio, I'll be able to
listen to you guys and have more joy during the year.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Thank you very much, nahe so download our iHeartRadio app.
It is there for you. I have some show and
tell for you. When we flipped to Holiday Music with Katla,
Dana Devon was in here wearing elf ears and I
just went home. I kind of mentioned to my husband
where I said, I really love those elf ears. So
he went on Amazon and he ordered them and they

(25:56):
came within I think it was next day delivery. They
are eight dollars guys for these Latex elf ears. This
is a kind of like we should put it on
our holiday list. You get one two, three, five pairs
of elf ears for eight dollars. I don't know how
they even do that. That's really affordable for all these
elf ears.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
And they're very realistic.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yeah, and when you talk, they move along with your jaw.
So these are just fun to have. Maybe if you're
you know, in school, and you put them on secretly
and then you raise your hand and ask a question,
you make your teacher laugh, right, or you get signed
to the office, you make your teacher laugh.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
But these are a great uye.

Speaker 1 (26:44):
They're on Amazon and they are they're rubber elf ears.
I just I can't get over the fact that these
are only eight dollars.

Speaker 10 (26:51):
Anyway, they would make me laugh, but I'm laughing because
one of my kids has a teacher who's really grouchy
all and I would love to see them crack.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
Just break.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
You have to wear them, and you have to not laugh.
You have to just like, what's wrong? Where are you
looking at me? All right? So people are getting tipsy
from gravy shots. You might have never tried a gravy
shot before. It's a new trend thanks to TikTok. So
all of us twenty one and overs don't have enough
options when it comes to alcohol. So now it's gravy shots.

(27:28):
So what you do is you just put the alcohol
in the drink so it is see bourbon and gravy.
You mix it to whatever half and half or three
quarters to a quarter. And if you really wanted to
classy up your gravy shot, you can add some brown
sugar or herbs heck, and that would give you more
of those flavors you expect around Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Would you try this?

Speaker 1 (27:52):
I I don't know. I don't like bourbon or gravy,
but maybe together they taste good. Okay, so a little kick.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
I remember last year was a hidden Valley did their
ranchnog that's right, spiked branch, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
That was that's But the gravy shot sounds like it
might be a little more agreeable.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
I want to try it.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Yeah, all right, everyone's doing it getting tipsy. Shaboozy wrote
a song about it.

Speaker 8 (28:23):
There's a body downtown, your fire, everybody bavy shots.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
I don't put the recipe up for you in our
socials and stay with us. You're four pack to our

Today many leader of the world's major economies will be

least three days a week in a nearby natural setting
like a park, five hours every month in semi wild
nature like a state park or nature preserver or near
a river, and then the three three days each year
in true wilderness such as camping or hiking in the
backcountry or remote locations where you have no cell services.

Speaker 1 (31:41):
There he was in the moonlight, you guys. After putting
me in a car this limo backward blindfolded, my husband
took me up Wonderland Drive off Laurel Canyon. And that
is why if you've ever been up there, and there

(32:02):
happened to be a home that was being built, and
it was just a dirt plot at the three sixty
view or it was amazing, like right at the top
of the hill. So my husband walks me out there.
I'm still blindfolded, and I could feel that there was
like dirt villa of my heels because he said, we're

(32:24):
gonna go to dinner. And he got down on one
knee and he said, take off the blindfold, and there
he was with the ring box. Woh, I know. It
was so sweet. And then of course I said yes.

(32:45):
And then we got back in the car and we
went to dinner and my family was there, and his
family it was, and some of our best friends. It was.
It was so great. I would never want my proposal redone,
but half of all people who are married say that
they didn't like their proposal and they would want to
redo it. And I just loved the way he did it.

(33:07):
I thought it was great. I mean I did get
a little queasy on the way up the mountain, but
then you know, being engaged, and then our families together
and our friends, it was. It was really beautiful.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
Yeah, yeah, I had a good one.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Yeah I did.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Yeah, I was happy with mine. It was like, you know,
like the nesting Russian nesting dolls kind of box form,
and there was a poem on everyone that passed through
each member of the family before the ring got to her.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
That is really I was proud of the proposal. Yeah,
that's really good. Yeah, Mike, you're married.

Speaker 6 (33:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
How was your proposal? It was amazing. We did it
in Oahu and uh yeah, it was a total surprise.
Some of her family was there, so it was amazing.

Speaker 12 (33:47):
I mean she loved it. Yeah, the girls loved it.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
I mean it was it was great. Yeah, that's great, Darlene.

Speaker 6 (33:53):
Right in front of the Disneyland Castle.

Speaker 12 (33:55):
Oho.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
That is I had no idea.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
He asked somebody to take a picture of us, and
then as they're taking the picture, he went down on
one knee.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
And love what that is amazing. See, so we're one
hundred percent. We all love our proposals here in this room.
They're all good ones, but half of all people did not.
So if you didn't like yours, or maybe you did,
you can call us at eight hundred and ninety two
nine kost. See, let's go to Carrie carry you you

Well, it was Christmas Eve and my boyfriend set out
for presents and I opened the first one and it
was a piece of wood, and I'm like, oh, I
always wanted a piece of wood. The second one was
a picture of a female sheep. She had lipstick on
which a female sheep is called a u uh huh.

(34:50):
And then the last one I opened it up and
it was a Christmas cut up that said the word
Mary and a picture of him. I loved it and

I loved it.
