Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's talk with Jeff Hunters, a nationally known AI expert,
on what Donald Trump is doing now and trying to
keep the edge on the Chinese when it comes to
artificial intelligence.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Jeff, welcome in, Thanks for being.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Here, great to be here. Thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Well, as a guy that's in this field and spends
a lot of time with it and helping companies multiply
their productivity by harnessing artificial intelligence, You've got to be
fired up about what Donald Trump's planning to do in
the facility that's being built in Texas and the growth
and our interest in all of this.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
There's a lot of exciting news here, and I also
think it also spurs innovation for people who have been
kind of lagging behind. It's kind of letting the fire saying, hey,
you know what, we should probably think about how we're
using AI.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
There's so many different aspects to it and so many
different implications moving forward with us. Obviously, I think one
of the big pluses in all of this is what
it can do in our healthcare, in our medical industry
and diagnosing disease and helping find cures and bringing all
of that data together instantly and all of a sudden,
(00:59):
it's like, whoa, We've been looking at this the whole time.
Let's talk about the positive impact of the AI, and
then I want to get your thoughts on the criminal
side of it.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Well, on the positive side, you're right, healthcare is a massive,
massive industry that's going to be affected. There's actually a
sample test that was done that showed the CHATCHYPT, which
by the way, is not even the greatest and most
specialized AI for healthcare, was actually better at diagnosing patients
than doctors. It was even better than diagnosing patients with
(01:31):
than doctors that were using CHATTYBT. Now we also have
technology that scans your eyes, your retinas and can actually
do early detection of Alzheimer's and other you know, Parkinson's
disease things like that.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Well, when you talk about the three folks that Donald
Trump's kind of brought together to get this whole thing moved,
do you like the the folks that he's brought in here.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Uh, he definitely brought in some big guns, you know.
Of course, you know with the Trump there's always a
little bit of polarization there. You got Elon Musk, You've
got Sam Altman, Larry, I mean these guys are they're
they're well known. You got Masa behind it here. You know,
we're seeing some really big names. And something that you
that people aren't talking about is as soon as this
was announced, Australia announced that they're also doubling down to
(02:17):
ride the wave here and they're actually going to be
investing in their own data infrastructure as well. So I
think it's really a ripple being fuilt around the world.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Do you really believe that the United States, in the
battle in the game and the competition with China on this,
has the ability and uh will in fact stay neck
and neck with them, if not, you know, exceed the
applications with AI the more so than the Chinese.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Uh. Well, now we're getting into that nefarious stuff you're
talking about. So, you know, China or as Trump says, China,
you know virus. You know, right, there's definitely some threats here.
You know, one of the things I thought was interesting
was the you know, the reversal on that TikTok band.
(03:03):
We'll see what Trump's able to do there. But you know,
China is known for doing data collection and you know,
right now, you know, there's this big push about DJI,
the drone company. If you think collecting our data from
our phones is bad, imagine kind of being able to
just geolocate everything because they have all the data from
our drones. There's just so much, so much. This is
(03:25):
a data competition, just so you know, everyone listening here,
whoever has the most data wins.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
And I got to tell you the ignorance of the
Biden administration on some things when it comes to China,
I mean just alarming to me. I mean, let's just
call if these people in our government are not stupid,
But I don't understand the Biden administration just knowing how
serious it is with the invasion of the Chinese and
getting into our intellectual data and just flying balloons across
(03:53):
our country before we react.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
And why do they take the.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
Steps to saying, yeah, it's no big deal, just leave
it alone here and Donald Trump's like, we're not leaving
anything alone. Why would a president of the United States,
even Joe Biden, take a stance unless you believe differently
that it's not a big deal.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
Well, I just personally, come on, I think you and
I both know and America knows that we had a
president that was sleeping at the wheel for quite some time, literally,
so you know, the people, the people that were making
decisions were different. You know, they were just propping them
up like weekend at Burnie's for the past couple of years.
So we got to figure out. You know, we definitely
have a president who's taken this seriously, and whether you
(04:31):
like him or not, he's taken action. He's done more
in the past three days than this other dude's done
in four years.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
When you talk about artificial intelligence, all the great positive
applications that come with this are just astonishing to me
and I love it. But let's talk about some of
that nefarious activity that the bad guys will be using
this for, whether it's a government entity or it's you know,
criminals that you know, the professionals that can set up
on how to rip off your you know, your your credit,
(04:58):
your data, your your social security. I mean, how bad
can it get?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Going to the other.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Direction, I'll give you three examples. Number one, voice cloning
already amazing technology. You can literally clone anyone's voice. Anyone
who's ever done a YouTube video, anyone who's ever posted
a podcast online, you can clone their voice. So if
you have ever you had your voice online, it could
be an old family video from you know, two thousand
(05:24):
and five. If there's data out there online, someone can
definitely clone your voice. Someone can pretend to be you
on the phone, call your family, ask for money. Hey
I'm stranded wherever. This is a time where we're going
to have to be very careful and who is real
and who is not. And I think that's a big
part of this infrastructure upgrade that we need is we
(05:45):
need AI detection, because our AI detection right now is
an absolute joke. Matter of fact, every AI detector I've
ever seen has been a complete scam and not actually
detected AI.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
You know, my in laws got duped by there they
thought was grandson. Somebody called their home and they were
in their eighties. My father in law just passed away.
But this was a couple of years ago and Tyler,
their grandson, who was a student at the University of Alabama,
was in class and they got a call from who
(06:14):
they thought was Tyler saying I had a car accident.
They're going to put me in jail if I don't
get two thousand dollars and I gotta pay for this
because the other people are screaming that this is my
fault and I really can you please help me? And
all of a sudden it's like what I mean, they
were there almost you know, first in goal from the ten,
from going into the end zone of disgust and theft,
and then she finally hung up and called Tyler and
(06:38):
he answered his everything Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
She goes, did you just call me? Want money?
Speaker 1 (06:41):
And he's no, I mean class, it's cool. So yeah,
it's out there and it's happening already. So I love
this discussion. We're going to talk more about this, Jeff Hunter.
Thanks for being with me, buddy. We'll have a good
weekend and then we'll talk more as it continues to advance.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
All right, take care
