Ashley Hayek on the deployment of US Marines to LA over ICE protests

The madness going on in Los Angeles. Our Defense secretary says,
everybody deserves safety.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Every American citizen deserves to be live in a community
that's safe, and ICE agents need to be able to
do their job. They're being attacked for doing their job,
which is deporting illegal criminals.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
That's exactly right. I don't know why people would get
in the way of that. It's like, all of a sudden,
you support criminals, You're okay with them sticking around just
because they've come into this country and their poor little
babies want to improve their lives. These are criminals. These
people are going after here. Governor Newsom has responded now
to Trump's centing of the active duty Marines.

This is about all of us. This is about you.
California maybe first, but it clearly will not end here.
Other states are next. Democracy is next. Democracy is under
assault before our eyes. This moment we have feared has arrived. Yeah,
democracy is certainly under assault. With your actions or life

thereof actions, Governor Newsom. Democracy elected a president that wanted
to clean up this nastiness that's been going on with
a Biden administration's policy to allow anybody and everybody to
cross our border. Democracy is at risk.

And morning thanks for having me.

So here we go. Seven hundred active duty Marines now
going to back up those forty one hundred National Guard troops.
If the state of California can't protect their citizens and
protect also ice and police officers, and the President's got
to take action.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Some pointly agree. And why isn't the California governor and
the LA mayor looking out for their constituents. Why does
it seem like the left wants to put illegal aliens
first before legal hard working American citizens, our law enforcement officers,
people's private properties, public property that we pay for with
our tax dollars. I don't understand the mentality of the left.

(01:59):
It doesn't makes sense. But you know, I think President
Trump is doing absolutely the right thing. I think he
remembers in twenty twenty when Democrats let their cities burn
and when Tim Welds refused the Guard in Minneapolis went
up in flames, and he's saying, you know what, not
this time, no more, you know, letting these leftist radical
mobs run the wild.

You know, the way Gavin Newsom is speaking these days,
it's as if he's more concerned about his presidential bid
in twenty twenty eighth than he is, you know, protecting
his citizens in the state of California and the city
of Los Angeles here. I mean, when he comes out
and says things like this, you know, it's almost as
if you know, I'm running today and the debates are
coming up soon. I've got to get prepared for this.

There's there's no addressing the violence, the flames, the destruction
of property, the danger to people that are getting injured,
and at some point this thing could escalate and unfortunately
potentially somebody getting killed in all of this.

Well, there's no bigger hypocrite than Gavin Newsom. If you
recall during COVID, he walked down all of our schools
get his kids went into private schools. He said, restaurants
couldn't open, and he was eating at French Laundry, a
very fancy restaurant in California. During just last year, he
was calling for the National Guard to help with illegal

aliens trying to come into California. Now he's condemning the
presidents in the National Guard to help ice agents. He
was on the podcast with Charlie Kirk saying he doesn't
necessarily agree with or men participating in women's sports, and
then you know, two B flitter, he flips his opinion
on that and doesn't stand with the female athletes. At

the big state track meet in central California. I mean,
this man stacks his finger up in the air and
tries to determine which way the wind is blowing, and
that's the direction he wants to head in. But he
is so far out of touch with the people in
America and the people in his state. When we ran
ground Game in twenty twenty four, our message to voters was,

don't let Kamala Harris, California or America the same goods
for Gavin Newsom. Don't let this tyrannical government that you
have in California, which is my home state, by the way,
and it breaks my heart to see it in this
in the way that it's been run. Don't let that
happen to the rest of the country, because America deserves
better than these horrific policies that we're seeing coming out

You know the fact that Ice has said, and Tom Homan,
our borders are along with Christinome Pam bonding, and President
Trump said, look, we're coming after the criminals that have
illegally come into this country and continue to commit crimes,
and we are going to depart deport these people. Others,
if you're in here illegally, you need to self deport

and that will increase your chances of being able to
come back into our country legally. I'm really tired of
this screaming. Humanitarian efforts need to be looked at for
these refugees that are coming from a country that destroys them. Well,
here's the We have a legal way to do that.
We have immigration laws on the books. We are not
shutting the gates to people that want to come to

this country legally. It's about illegals. And when Tom Holman said, look,
we're coming into your cities, you sanctuary cities are on alert,
and if you stand in our way of doing our
jobs here, it's not going to go well for you.
Yet this continues to be the mantra of the Democrats
that oh, this is where's the due process? These poor
babies just want better lives. Who are we to say

that refugees can't come here. The globe is built on
helping those less fortunate do it legally. We are a
nation of love. We certainly spend more than any other
nation and helping other people around this globe. And for
them to say that this is out of control, you
were warned. We're coming for the bad guys in all
