Speaker 1 (00:00):
To the crazy city in America, New York City. We go,
Ken Belcon and sera attorney friend there. Ken, welcome in.
Always good to have you on with me. Thanks for
being here. Thanks j A. T.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Good morning all. Yes, I am live from the People's
Republic of New York City, or at least as soon
to be People's Republic of New York.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Oh my gosh. I mean if Schwingy dinghy Mandani wins
this mayoral election, not only is New York City in trouble,
but I think you know, this opens up even more
doors of insanity around the country. If this guy has
the power to win there, what are the crazies are
going to run for office and democratically run states and
cities around the country. So let's talk about the debates.

(00:37):
Your thoughts, my.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Thoughts are you know, it doesn't really matter. At this point,
he's expected there's like ninety four percent chance if you
look at the betting market odds that he's going to
be the next mayor. You know, it's really horrible. I
just don't understand what people don't understand about who this
man is, what his policies are, and how so many

(00:59):
people have come out of the woolworks to say, what
a disaster this is going to be for New York
City at a time where New York City is just
getting back on its feet from the COVID lockdowns.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
You know, when you look at the voter turnout across
the country, even for presidential races, I wish it was,
you know, much higher. But you know, in mayoral races
of New York, what's the voter turnout look like? And
will they show up in droves or do they figure out? Now, yeah,
this is this is a shoe.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
And it's not high. I don't know the exact number,
but I know it's not high. Yeah. And interestingly enough,
you know, the last couple of mayors we've had have
been able to win the you know, Gracie Mansion with
less than fifty percent of the vote. In some cases
well under about like thirty percent of the vote. So
it's really just because we have so many people running.

(01:49):
But he looks like he's going to win, you know.
We the problem really comes down to this. We have
one party rule in New York City, and it's the
Democratic Party. And it doesn't matter where you are. Party
rule is not a good thing. And we have this
primary system where it is not open to anyone but
registered Democrat Democrats and only they get to vote. So

(02:11):
you've got millions of independent voters who really are only
told choose to you know, pick the Democrat of your choice.
And it's really horrible.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Well, the debate's going to be taking place tonight and
Sleewah is still going to be there. He's the Republican
candidate to you know, the Curtis Sleewah.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
And I'm all in on him, by the way.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I get you, I hear you, and I bet there's
some New Yorkers that are saying, yeah, keep the fight up,
let's go. But on the other side of the coin
on this, would it be beneficial for Cuomo? Gosh, can
you imagine that's your only choice, Mandanni or Cuomo. But
at least it wouldn't be Mundani, and Cuomo is tainted
as he is. I would think a lot of New Yorkers,

(02:52):
you know, the lesser the two evils, they rather have
Cuomo than this Mandani guy. Should Sleewah drop out and
allow these voters that are pushing in his direction, would
they all go to Cuomo?

Speaker 2 (03:03):
First off, I don't think the Sliva voters are going
to line up behind Cuomo. He's the one who shut
down their churches, their synagogues, can sign the elderly to
die in nursing homes during COVID right, and made five
million dollars off of a dumb book that I'm not
sure anyone bought in reality, So I don't think they're
moving over to him. Secondly, this is you know, I

(03:25):
love it how Republicans and I'm not even a Republican.
I'm a registered Democrat, but I love how Republicans are
being told to take the high road and drop out.
Why should they drop out? Cuomo had his chance in
the Democratic primary. He couldn't do it. And by the way,
I don't even think if Sliver drops out that he
can do it. I don't think he's got it anymore.
He is reviled in this state.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
So even the New Yorkers would rather have Mandani than Cuomo.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Yes, and a lot of New Yorkers are brain dead
and they think everything liberal with the smiling guy is
going to be good for them when the reality is
one party. You know, extremely liberal rule in New York
City was a disaster, starting with when Deblasio became mayor.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
It's just insane, and people already trying to sell their
houses and having trouble because real estate's not moving because
of what's about to happen in that city. But inevitably
people will start to go, including businesses. Don't you believe
if this guy.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
Comes in JT. New York is already leading the nation
in outward migration of businesses and people. And it's because
you know, look, we're electing people that are anti capitalists
at their core. They are they want state control over
over the free market. It wouldn't be a free market anymore.
But they want state control. And that is who we
are electing. And the fact of the matter is, if

(04:42):
you look at history, only one socioeconomic system has been
responsible for lifting hundreds of millions, if not billions, of
people historically out of poverty, and that is.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Capitalism, correct, Amen, think about that, capitalism every time socialism ever. Yeah,
you're right, buddy.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Well, and they come smiling at you too with all
these promises, but what they really want is control. They
will get it if people believe them.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
Come on, who doesn't love free transit in the government
own grocery store. I mean, it's it's so bizarre, so bizarre,
Who's paying for all this crazy Yes, all right, buddy,
Thank you, Ken Belcan
