Speaker 1 (00:00):
Is the President awarded Charlie Kirk the Medal Freedom yesterday.
The ceremony at the White House was amazing, to say
the least. Erica Kirk was there and both spoke and
it was just just incredible to watch. And the mission
that still continues is just amazing. Part of that mission
is Brilin Holly and who's an Auburn student right now

(00:20):
in a political science major. There, Brolin, welcome back in.
I'm so glad to have you with us. You started
this movement and your ability to get out and speak
at an early age. I mean, when did you first
meet Charlie. How old were you?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I was eleven, JT. Good morning, Happy Windessa. To appreciate the.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Opportunity be back with your audience and actually walking to
class right now. So I'm walking to an exam, but
I wanted to talk to incredible JT in your audience.
And we started at eleven in the fourth grade so
I could do the math, right, I'm horrible at maths,
so I'm going into politics.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
But it was the twenty sixteen election.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
And Charlie just kind of took me into his wing
and offered me some advice and I just started a podcast,
and you know, nobody wanted to come on the fourth
Graders podcast, need to get the local dog catcher on,
But for some reason, Charlie gave me a chance on
an opportunity, and here we are doing a college tour
on ten campuses and his honor.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
I got to tell you, you're just amazing to watch.
You're extremely articulate to the foundation, with your relationship with
christ is front and center, and you're continuing and partnering
with you know, Charlie's organization Turning Point USA, and I
wanted to get some thoughts and discussion going on how
it's been going with you on these campuses and you know,

(01:28):
what are some of the questions that people bring up
when you get there.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Yeah, it's actually been incredibly successful. I'll be honestly, the
very first time that I spoke at a Turning Point
of BEN a few years ago, one singular student showed
up JT and it was super intimate between me and
that student.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
And here we are years later packing ballrooms.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
With you know, sometimes you were close to five hundred
students coming out to get off the sidelines, not because
of me, and has nothing to do with me. It's
the movement it's what Charlie left behind, the legacy here
of young people finally saying WHOA, I have eyes to
see that, you know, incredible in same situation that our
country's in, and also wake up to the fact that
they have a voice and they can use that voice
for good. And so we've gone to these campuses. We're

(02:07):
going to ten different turning point chapters. Next week we're
at Mississippi States and Slipston. Last week we were at
Auburn University and the University of Alabama, so back in
my hometown. But they've been so cool because young people genuinely,
more than ever before, are more energetic. Like we talked
a lot about how energetic gung people were before the
last election. In the last November, this is ten times
that by far, I mean young people genuinely are off

(02:29):
the sidelines for the first time in decades. And I
think the Democrats have made a big mistake. Heero they
thought of by killing Charlie they would.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Eliminate his voice. They actually multiplied it by the millions.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
And there's no doubt about that. And you know, Charlie
sparked conversation and he did not like what he saw
when he went into college and started his first semester
in that it was really liberal and left leaning, and
he said, enough of this, I'm going to bring some
messaging to these college kids outside on the grass and
we're going to have open discussion about why you believe
this or why you believe that, and let's do it

(03:00):
civilly and have this open discussion. But it always came
back to his faith.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Here.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
When you look around the campuses that you've been to
so far, is there an underlying theme that did the
kids want to talk to you about?

Speaker 3 (03:13):
So many people ask the same question at the very
start of every single event, and the same question is how.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Do I get involved?

Speaker 3 (03:19):
What can I do to play a little part in
the future of the country like Charlie did? And what
I want to be really clear to every single person
in your audience is there is a place for you.
There is a place for the next generation of the
political arena. I mean, despite their powdered white wigs, our
founding fathers weren't all all white guys. They were actually
young teenagers right around my age who were fed up
with the price of tea and fed up with the
fact that they didn't have religious liberty Our country was

(03:40):
founded by young patriots.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
JT.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
It's not some crazy novel that I did at young
patriots and still be involved in the political arena today.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
And so what I tell those people is use your voice,
whether it's.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
A small megaphone or a large one, whether it's having
a conversation in your college class or in your dorm room,
or whether it's actually starting a podcast or starting some
social media channel. You have a platform and a so
maybe it's just you talking to your neighbors, maybe it's
you talking in your sunnysool class, or maybe it's actually
getting out and giving campus speeches. Every single person has
a voice and an opportunity to do good, to create change,

(04:12):
and that's what Charlie would want. Yeah, it's really cool
that he got a piece of metal with his name
carved in it. But I can tell you confidently that
my friend Charlie is smiling done in heaven this morning
because of the life that are changed in this kingdom.
Because Revival is spreading you, because he can call more
fellow brothers and sisters in Christ than ever before. That's
what he's excited about. That's his legacy. That's we have
to continue.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Absolutely one hundred percent, and that groundswellow is continuing to
grow every day. It's so weird to me, you know.
I'm sure you've seen it as well. You look around
the country and what the left is doing in you know, Portland, Oregon,
for instance, is just run a muck there relative to
what Charlie was doing bringing people together and establishing a
relationship with our creator. I mean, what are your thoughts

(04:51):
when you look at cities like Portland right now? They're
just basically upside down backwards living in the world world
of weird.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
You know, I encourage your to take a breath from
the rhetoric for a moment and just look at the
split screen of what's happened in our country. Look on
the left where they are literally this morning, riding bikes
around naked and protests, who tried to get illegal immigrants
free healthcare paid for by taxpayers. And on the right
side of the screen you have President Trump, who just
got back from the Middle East where he negotiated a

(05:21):
peace still to end the war in the Middle East,
bring the hostages home that Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Barack Obama,
Hillary and Bill Clinton have all lauded him for his accomplishments,
like they said it would never be done.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
They said it was impossible.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
And his foes and largest opponents are coming and clapping
and support of him. That's a modern day right. We
get things done. This is promises made, promises keptain gen
Z took a chance on President Trump. Gen Z left
the reserve and the plantation of the Democrat Party that
they've always set their foot on and said, oh, we're
actually going to go out on an olympier and vote
for a Republican and it paid off and drove his

(05:53):
Our economy is booming, American dream is alive and well,
and peace is spreading across this country. That's not because
of the left. The left took their clothes, often riding
bicycles around in protest.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
A big difference there, real crazy. I saw them laying
in the streets in Portland, completely neked. I'm like, what
are these people doing here? Well, I gotta tell you, Brolin,
I'm extremely proud of you. I am fired up for
what's ahead for you, and God bless you and your travel.
Stay safe with all of this, and God continuing to
be glorified in everything that's coming down. So let's stay

(06:21):
in touch buddy. We'll do it again soon.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Thank you JT.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
I'll come visit you in person one day in Birmingham,
but have a great week. To you in your audience.
