Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alabama's morning News. I'm JT and I can't believe I'm
actually talking with Brooke Burns, the new host of Game
show Network show Tic Tag Though. Brook, welcome in, Thanks
for being here.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Thanks for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
I know everybody's going away, Brook Burns. I know that Wait,
I know that name. Yeah, you do from Ally mcbeil
and Baywatch, melrose Place. Not to mention that show you
did with Chris Harrison. I think it was called You
Deserve It with ABC.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
That's right, that's right. Wow, Yeah, you're going all the
way back, Ally mcbeil. Oh, my goodness, that was really
my first role.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Look, you were seven at the time, so it was
the first time they introduced it.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
I mean, I know, it's unbelievable. I don't even think
I had a name on that. I was just like
the mail room delivery girl. And then they brought me
back a couple times and I got a name and
they named me Jennifer.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
And I remember being so proud.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
That I actually got a name on the city show.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Well, I love I love bay Watch too, and in
melrose Place. I remember watching melrose Place, like you know
at nauseum. We were locked in my wife and I
every week New Melrose Place. I mean that show, that
show was pretty awesome and you did a great job
on the show.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
By the way, thank you, thank you so much. I
appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Yeah, that was a fun one to be a part
of it.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
All right, Well, let's talk about what's going on with
Game Show Network now every night six o'clock Central, followed
by Bingo Blitz with Valery Burton. Ellie, it's six thirty Central.
But this is a show that I have. Judy and
I actually played each other last week and we played
against the contestant where they're trying ten thousand dollars. I
think you guys give away there. But how did this
how did this come to be? It's a fun show?
Speaker 3 (01:27):
Absolutely correct.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Well, yes, so Tic tec doough obviously you know been
around for a minute, but off for thirty five years,
so you know, back to the Jack Berry Wink Martindale days.
But as I always say, it's like when a game works,
it works, and so why not have this generation of
kids enjoy it as much as we all got to, right,
because it's Tic Tac toe three in a row and
(01:51):
you win the Dough. But obviously you have to get
through a couple trivia questions as well, and then we
have that dreaded dragon in the final round who is
trying to block you from taking home the money. But yeah,
like you said, it's just.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Fun to be at home, play along with your kids,
your grandparents, everybody can do it and it's just a
wonderful time and way to connect.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, present with you. Well, well, Judy, you know, we
played every night last week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,
and Judy ended up beating me three nights, three nights
to two. So you know, I feel like I need
some revenge here.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
So so when you got okay, well, there's always next.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Week, that's right, That's right. So with these two new
shows now, Tic Tac Dough and Bingo Blitz, do you
and Valerie know each other? Have you ever worked together before?
Do you do the shows in different locations? What's your
relationship with her?
Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, that's interesting that you say that. Really, the only
time that we kind of cross over would be for
marketing days when we're doing it, because you know, when
I'm on my show, we're shooting six shows a day.
It's a pretty tight schedule, getting in and out sixty
five episodes, you know, within three weeks, as I'm sure
she's probably doing on her end. But when I heard
(03:00):
the news that she was going to be hosting, I
just thought it was a perfect fit for her because
I've always been such a fan and she just seems
so lovely and so warm, and talked to a couple
of people who've you know, were working with her, and
it seems to be like a.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Good fit when you're not tik Tag Dohan and you
get so many shows in, like you said, six episodes
a day. Any are any you know, acting things happening
with you now for other shows? We can look forward
soon soon, you know.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
I was filling in the time with a lot of
the Hallmark Christmas shows, or I had a series on
there for a little while called Gourmet Detective. Right now,
I've been really trying to focus. I've got three daughters,
once twenty five, twenty three.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
And then an eight year old.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
So this is my last go round with this beautiful,
fun baby, as she's my baby, doing a lot of honestly,
a lot of momming, a lot of volunteering, a lot
of driving to after school activities. Yeah, yeah, and drawing
the hell out of it because I know how fast
it goes.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Well, I'm just.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Trying to really well.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I mean the congratulations, I mean for your family life
there that that's great to hear too. And folks, I
got to tell you, yeah, my wife is a Hallmark channel,
you know, frenzy between Hallmark and HGTV. I mean, her
whole holidays are taken care of. So look for some
great movies with Brooke during that time framework. So yeah,
looking forward to that year with Henry Winkler.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yes, that's always everybody's favorite because he's such a dream
to work with and enjoy watching. He's the best.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Well, Brooke, congratulations on all your success. It's a joy
to chat with you, and I'll be watching again tonight's
sixth Central. Don't miss it Tic Tac Dough on Game
Show Network. Yeah, thank you very much, that's right, thanks again,
We'll talk soon.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Absolutely, thank you,
