Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
I got to tell you, this government shutdowns getting frustrating
for a lot of people, and the more we're out,
the more it's going to have a repet effect and
start affecting all of us at some point, including TSA.
We've already seen some you know, slow downs with the
tower workers, the air traffic controllers. But if it keeps going,
it's going to get uglier as government people are, you know,

(00:20):
on the sidelines right now. The Republicans blame the Democrats.
The Democrats blame the Republicans for the shutdown. Right now,
here's Chuck Schumer from the left.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
What kind of.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Country do we live in? What kind of party is
this Republican party that is unwilling to solve this problem
which is staring Americans in the face, frightening Americans from
one end of the country to the other. And yet
Republicans what are they doing about it? Nothing, They're on vacation.
It's unacceptable and morally repugnicans.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Oh my gosh, and joining us now Congressman Barry Moore
here in now Alabama. Barry, I don't know about you,
but just the sound of that guy's voice makes me
want to puke.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Jak it's really amazing. He will set there and ball
faced lie to the American people. And look, the thing
we've done is we've offered to eleven votes to pass
a clean City r which is just a continuing resolution
for your listeners. It's just keep the government open and
we'll finish the appropriations process. Schumer is wanting to do
with this shutdown. He's holding the American people hostage so

(01:20):
that he can get this Christmas wish list for the
left in the country and undo the first ten months
of President Trump's like could off administration. I mean the
things we've done in the big beautiful Bill, that the
decisions we've made to put down our pressure on spending.
He wants one point five tree and open the government
for five weeks, and it's a Christmas wish list for
the far left in this country. And look, we need

(01:42):
to hold the line on this. I think that we
the American people are with us. I saw President Trump's
actually went up a point in approval since the shutdown.
And it's not that we want to keep the government shutdown,
but it's a matter we've got business to do for
the American people. Schumri, could they passed this thing in May,
they vote for it, I think thirteen times under Biden.
Why now all of a sudden is he just done

(02:03):
a willing to vote for it. He's playing politics, and
he's a little scared of the left wing of his party.
And I think that's part of it. He knows aocas
in the rearview mirror, and he thinks she might want
to challenge him for that Senate in New York. So
he's just holding out for the extreme, extreme less socialist
communist part of the Democratic Party and at the same
time time to punish American people in the process. So

(02:23):
it's politics as usual with Chuck Schumer, you know.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
And I hear what you're saying about being afraid of
the socialist left part of the party because it seems
like they've got the most steam going right now. You
see what's going on in New York City with the
mayor oal Race. I know it's not Washington, but you know,
once again, that socialist point of view. It's like the
Democrats didn't really understand or read the room. When President
Trump was elected, the mandate from the American people to

(02:46):
move this country in a different direction. That's been you know,
from where we were with the Biden years. So when
you come out of an election where you get you know,
you're butt handed to you by the American people with
a mandate to shut the borders down, make them safe again,
fix the economy again, and the president getting more done
this first year than I've seen any president do in
probably four years time, you would think that they'd stay

(03:09):
all right, Well, look, we got to approach the majority
of the American people and not playkate to the AOC
politicians first of all, and the aocs of the American
Democratic Party, you know, the voters. But when you're not
reading the room and you're doubling and tripling down going
in this direction here, I don't blame the Republicans were saying, no,

(03:30):
you're not only not compromising, you're going the other direction
as far as what you want in this situation with
a shutdown. So at the crux of it all, Berry,
is it about the subsidies and the benefits for illegals
and the healthcare with Obamacare. At the crux of all.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Of this, that's exactly what it boils down to. Part
of the one point five trade was given healthcare to illegals,
and they had it on page fifty seven of their
offer to us to open the government back up. And look,
if we cave on this, then I wouldn't blame the
American people for fire and us I know all of us.
I mean, my staff's not getting paid. I waived my

(04:07):
pay until we get everybody back up and going. But
I'm like, in the reality of this is President Trump
won the electoral College, he won the popular vote, he
won every single swing state in this country, he won
the young votes. He's and for them to sit here
and play Paul, I don't know what they're trying to do,
except they're totally trying to undermine the movement of the

(04:28):
America first gender and we're just not gonna simply let
that happen. And they have a clean sea or they
can vote for it, to not vote for it. But
we're not going to give illegals medicaid when we got
veterans and groups in our country who have paid into
this system, so security, all those things that we've done
that we need to sere up those systems for those
programs for the American people. We're not gonna We're not

(04:49):
going to cave on this. We don't need to cave
we need to hold the line and make them come
to the table. And at some point I think that
you'll see it and look at my I thought President
Trump did a find job of funding for our military
active duty. But I think there's some low hanging for
j at in some of these programs where there's pots
of money, that there are leftist things that Biden in

(05:10):
those guys put in over the last four years. If
I'm President Trump, I start just taking one at a
time and funding what we need to find to keep
our government open, doing away with those programs and put
the pain back in the lap of Shumer. He said, oh,
every day, this shutdown's better for our party, but it's
not better for the American people. And so if I
was President Trump, I would get with Russ fault at
Omb and say, hey, where's another pot of money. Let's

(05:32):
take this Democrat program, this socialist program, this giveaway program
and give it back to the American people.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
All right, let's talk about your sen race here. I
mean it's you. You've got Steve Marshall, and you've got
Jared Hudson, former Navy seal all in the hunt here.
I'm I'm not sure how many people beside, y'all are
in this yet. But how's it going the campaign? What's
going on with your world?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Well, we're excited. You know, I represented basically, I've got
first congressional district. I had second congressional district, and so
I've had about twenty percent of the state over the
last four years five years now and I'm pollowing at
sixteen percent in the early early post I think the
accurate polls. And for us, just since some matter of
get the message out, the first in the nation endorsed Trump.

(06:14):
And look, you know, I'm a known commodity. Twenty twenty
is when I came here, and its hindsight is twenty twenty.
You can see my voting record. I got a ninety
six Liberty School, which is very similar to coaches. You know,
Heritage Foundations got me in a ninety eight. American Conservative
Unions got me in a ninety five. Susan B. Anthony's
got me a one hundred on pro life issues. And
so for us, it's just we're been doing a job.

(06:35):
Were the first in the nation endorse Trump, and in
twenty twenty six j T. When this election have occurs,
we're only going to have twenty four months with the
best president of our lifetime, which is President Trump, and
we need to push this America First agenda, and so
we have staff in place. I have relationships on the
House side, the Senate side. President Trump takes my calls
when I call him, and look, I'm House Freedom Caucus,

(06:56):
and Jim Jordan endorsed me last week's and the Conservatives
endorsed it. So we're excited. It's still two hundred little
over two hundred days away. So now it's just a
matter of getting the resources we led in the fundraising,
and that fundraising allows us to get our message that hey,
we're a real conservative, we're an non commodity, we're an
honest broker. We're the first in the nation with Trump
and I've been on this in this fight. The people
see our record, and so once we get that out,

(07:18):
we feel really good about our position. It's an easy
message to run on the I'm gonna run on our record.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Well, Barry, I appreciate everything you're doing up there in Washington.
Keep the fight going, going in the right direction. Good
luck with your campaign and everything, and we'll catch up again.
Thank you so much for being with me this morning.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Thank you jj y'all keep our nation in your prayers
and we're going to continue in the fight.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Amen to that. Thank you, buddy,
