Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now our friend David Rubin, former mayor Shiloh, Israel,
to talk about what's going on with Hamas in the
United States and also what's happening with Israel, and most recently, David,
welcome in first of all at a tax and cutter
or Qatar As that's where Hamas has their headquarters and
their big leadership. And again President Trump's now drawing another
(00:22):
line in the sand, said all right, we are nearing
the deadline here. You know, you got to release these
hostages or it's going to be serious consequences. So good morning,
and welcome in your thoughts on from where you are
in Israel.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, it's good one, JT. Good to be with you.
And yes, here here in Israel where we're watching the
events very closely and we're feeling the events very closely. Look,
Amas CAMAS is continuing to refuse to release all of
the hostages. They're continuing to refuse to disarm. And the
(01:00):
only way that this war is going to end is
if they either agree to those terms or they are
completely defeated.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Well, is there any good possible outcome for Hamas in
all of this if they decide today? All right, we
don't want to die, So we're releasing all the hostages?
Is that it? Or don't they know that the end
goal is to destroy them completely? I mean, I don't
know where the president is. If they release all the hostages,
(01:30):
will that be the end of it? Or do we
continue to go to them and just you know, explode
them until they're in oblivion? Net and Yahoo's opinion on
if they release all the hostages? Is it over in
everybody's mind? And as far as that.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Goes, well, not just the releasing of the hostages. You know,
you can't you can't take two hundred and fifty people hostage,
slaughter one two hundred civilians and you know, cut off
the heads of the of the men and rape the
women and burn the babies alive. You can't do that.
(02:04):
You just can't do that and expect that. Okay, Well,
if we reverse part of it, you know, give back
the dead bodies of hostages, well, well that's going to
be okay, it can't be Okay. They have to do that,
and they have to disarm and they have to surrender,
and then the only good thing that can come out
(02:25):
of it is that if they do that and do
it quickly, then they may be allowed to leave Gaza.
That is the only good that can come out of
it for Hamas.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
They've got to leave, they've got to lay down their arms,
and they've got to change their behavior, which they're terrorists,
it's part of their DNA, this is what they do. Well,
what are your thoughts on you know, the months ahead?
Here is Donald Trump once again has said this is it.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Well, unfortunately, terrorists do not change their behavior, right. You know,
we wish it would happen. You know, there is such
a there is such a phenomenon that has happened with
certain individuals, but we're not going to see it with
the organization, the Hamas organization as a whole. And what's
(03:10):
going to come well, we're expecting to completely wipe them out.
And then the question will be whether Egypt will open
up the gates and let the civilian refugees out, because
really that's the only hope for them. That the civilians
(03:34):
who live in Gaza, you know, there's no life for
them there and they want to leave. Most of them
want to leave, but Egypt is not letting them leave.
They have the gates of southern Gaza are closed right now,
they're refusing to let them out because they want to
(03:54):
continue this war against Israel.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Well, David, I know that you have a personal experience
through a terrorism and through the war in that region,
and you know your own child and suffered in this,
and you have now developed the Shiloh Israel Children's fun
because there are so many kids that are caught up
in all of this. Tell us about that and how
(04:19):
people can help.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Well, the best way to stand with us is to
go to Israel Children dot org. Israel Children dot org
is the website where people could find out a lot more.
But yes, as you know, I started this organization, this
(04:41):
project for the terror victim children of Israel, after my
three year old son and I were both wounded in
a terror attack. We were just driving home from Jerusalem
one day. Our car was ambushed by Islamic terrorists on
the side of the road who were shooting at the car,
and we were both wounded. He was shot in the head,
(05:03):
I was shot in the leg, and somehow we got
to safety and we survived. But thousands upon thousands of
Israeli children have been wounded in similar ways, and I
decided to take this on as a project to help
the children of Israel. So we use therapy, We blend
(05:28):
therapy with education. We use various therapeutic methods music, art, animals,
small animals, large animals, horseback riding therapy, and we are
healing the trauma of terror victim children. So the you know,
thank God, we have people supporting us from all over
(05:49):
the world, and yes, there are even people in Alabama
who's standing with us. We get donations and people go
online to Israel Children in dot org and they stand
with us, and it's a beautiful thing.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Well, David, I sure do appreciate you spending time with us,
the update from there, and just continuing to pray that
this comes to an end very soon. Once again Israel
