Speaker 1 (00:00):
Other news. This is kind of bizarre. It's almost like
pet insurance to me. But how about grubhub now offering
college students snooze insurance for sleeping through deliveries. What if
I'm ordering food, I am not falling asleep. I am
waiting on that food. But people, apparently, Mackenzie, you're quite
the door dash gal. You've got the whole system mastered
and use it quite frequently. Have you ever fallen asleep

(00:22):
after you've placed an order?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Not only have I fallen asleep after placing an order,
I have ordered in my sleep before. What it's a
sleepwalking tactic that I have? Apparently? Really, I guess it's
muscle memory.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Well, you order in your sleep? Do you order what
you're really like? Or you just ordering random? Whatever?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
No, this was when I moved to Birmingham. I door
dashed eighty dollars worth of Taco Bell. It's not a
single item that I would normally order eighty dollars and
I had pulled out every single piece of business casual
clothing out of my closet and put it in my bathtub.
So I guess I was preparing to eat Taco Bell
for breakfast while I was getting ready for work, even
though it was a Sunday.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
The next days worth, I'm gonna have one of everything,
make that ten of everything.

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Well, Grubhub now says seventy two percent of college kids
have accidentally slept through a late night delivery order. Well,
there's nothing do with being tired. You're hammered. You can't
you know, you've probably forgot about it after you hit sin.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, I'm going to waste some money.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
So now they're offering snooze insurance. It's basically fifteen dollars
off of du over meal in the future. If you
have a student.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Account, what's insurance?

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Yeah? Are you serious?

Speaker 2 (01:26):
I'm not lying if we come to.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
You can't make this up here? Yes, it's crazy. If
you're a grub hub plus student member, they're offering a
makeup meal to replace the one you slept through. It's
not a built in feature. You need to apply for
a code over the next few weeks, which provides fifteen
dollars off of a future do over meal.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
How often do you have to have that happen in
order to need insurance?

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I don't know how much are you having to pay
for the insurance? That's what I want to know.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
I don't know that. That seems bizarre to me. I
guess it's a profit for them, but that's.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
They're not doing it to be nice, that's for sure.
Stay awake, all right, seven twenty. Maybe you give up
a backup address, Okay. If I don't answer, send it
to my friend or something. I don't know.
