Speaker 1 (00:00):
Job mounts in for JT and the manhunt continues for
the shooter. The Governor Charlie excuse me, the governor of Utah,
Spencer Cox, last night said that there are still people
who are from state and federal teams that are working
to find the killer.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
We have people all over the country that are helping
to bring this perpetrator to justice for Charlie Kirk and
his family. And we'll just add as well that as
was mentioned, there is a lot of forensic evidence that
is being processed right now at both the state Lab
and federal labs at Federal Lab again on the East Coast.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
And joining me now is Evan Brown from Fox News.
Some of this forensic evidence they're talking about. One of
the things is the gun that they have found. Have
you heard anything about the gun.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
It's been described as a quote high powered bolt action rifle,
and then I've also heard it described as being a
thirty odd six, which would be a high powered bolt
action rifle. A thirty out six is not exactly some
kind of supertty duper sniper gun. I mean, it's a
very commonly available firearm. I mean it's sort of the

(01:11):
firearm of choice for a lot of you know, woodsy hunters, right,
I mean, that's kind of something they very likely are using.
So it may not be anything really too special about
the firearm other than it was the firearm used in
this case?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Was it a bolt action rifle? What was used in
the assassination of John Kendy?

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Again, it's I mean, a bolt action rifle is not
necessarily something that's all that specific, you know, or unique.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
So yeah, Well, one of the things that is a
little unusual is so often you always hear about the
AR fifteen and they always like to point it. So
it was not an AR fifteen in this one. So
they're not going to be able to do the thing
about talking about these are weapons of war and all
that kind of stuff, because, as you point out, this
is a very common run of a mill weapon that's

(01:58):
easily obtained.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah, I mean, again, it's it's not something you know,
the AR fifteen resembles something like a they like to
call it the assault rife. It's not an assault weapon.
We know this, We've gone through that semantic argument before.
But the AR fifteen type firearm, it looks something very
militaristic in that it's much more modern looking something like

(02:21):
a thirty oth six just looks like a garden variety,
old fashioned rifle, right, so it would be hard to
make that. You know, oh, look at these awful, super
duper guns. It's not the case with a thirty OT six,
but you look. Obviously it can be used to do
something horrible, as any firearm could be in the hands

(02:44):
of someone evil, and that's what happened here. So the
firearm itself may not be all that remarkable other than
it's been identified as being the one used in this case.
Maybe they have the ability by having the firearm in
law enforcement's possession that maybe they can track it to
the gunman. Maybe that helps identify him a bit more.

(03:07):
They have also put out this video and some still
still shots from the video in hopes that maybe someone
will recognize this person and maybe either provide a real
lead or provide some confirmation to what police have already
learned just by identifying him. Maybe it's not even simply
the image of the face, but the video of him walking.

(03:28):
Maybe that's enough to trigger someone's recognition to go, wait
a second, that's that's that guy I know from over here. Whatever,
because I recognize the walk, I recognize you know the
movement of the shoulders, there's something unique about it. You know,
sometimes the body movement is is just as important as say,
like a fingerprint and identifying someone and you know, trying

(03:49):
to you know, figure out who someone is. So it's
I think the police work is continuing at a good pace.
A reminder that, you know, the healthcare CEO of Bryan Thompson,
his shooter was it took five days to find him,
I think, and then they found him in a completely
different state, but they found him, they tracked him down.
So it's only been now I guess not even quite

(04:11):
two days yet, right, So I would let I'd let
law enforcement do their work here, Evan.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
One of the things that we've been seeing is there's
a lot of people pouring over old videos because, as
you know, Charlie Kirk would often have people from the
audience ask him questions, and people are going through looking
at the old videos and some people have found pictures
of a man who loosely fits the description of the
shooter and they're saying this could be the guy. Unfortunately,
that doesn't help because the guy wasn't identified in the

(04:40):
video that video either, but it does show that is
possible this person has showed up at more than one
occasion where Charlie Clak has been speaking.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Well, you know, certainly the police are going to be
checking out those those images to see if hey, maybe
you know, has this guy been stalking him for a
period of time. I mean, did he try this at
a previous appearance that just didn't work out for him?
You know, that's all part of the case. It's also,
at the same time easy to fall down those rabbit

(05:10):
holes and go, you know, and start coming up with
you know, you know all I suppos call them alternate
theories as opposed to conspiracy theories. But sometimes the imagination
runs wild. But you know, anything can be plausible until
it's ruled out. I mean that's kind of how these
investigations work, and.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
In the absence of facts, opinions run wild. Evan Brown,
