Speaker 1 (00:00):
Evan Brown our Fox coorse Mon and following what's happening
with Gaza and Hamas saying oaps, Yeah, we're going to
return the dead bodies to the families if we can
find them. IV been good morning, welcome in. Not going
as smoothly as everybody anticipated.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
I don't know if everyone anticipated it would go smoothly.
We're talking about Hamas here, who routinely ignores or goes
back on its word. So yeah, I don't think there
are really too many people surprised that Hamas is playing
games and not returning the bodies of dead hostages. There
are a number of families who had been pressuring the

(00:35):
Israeli government for a ceasefire because they wanted to get
their loved ones returned, and so the loved ones have not.
There have been hostages returned, obviously, but the families are
also saying that if Hamas is stalling, that perhaps maybe
the war needs to resume. So that was kind of
part of the deal that if Hamas didn't didn't fulfill
its obligations within seventy two hours, that the ceasefire could

(00:59):
be rescinded. And we're waiting to see if that'll happen.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Well, here's the other thing too, and Donald Trump is
pretty clear about what's still going on in Gaza. As
they're just executing people on the streets if they have
an ankling that you might be siding with israelis there
in that area of the world, and they're just come here,
you're dead. And Trump basically said, keep that up, and
we'll just vaporize you. Hamas, We'll annihilate you, We'll destroy you.

(01:26):
Somebody ask him in a press conference, how are you
going to do it? Well, that was a stupid question.
What do you mean how I'm not going to tell
you how we're going to do it. We're going to
do it. So is that still an issue with that?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yes? Yeah, I mean Hamas is trying to inflict a
reign of terror on the population of Gaza, not just
for those who they suspect were aiding Israel, but for
those that are just simply standing in opposition to Hamas.
There are a lot of people in Gaza who don't
like Hamas, not because they think Hamas is evil they

(02:00):
can't stomach what Hamas did do Israel into the hostages,
but because they're angry with Hamas for not actually completing
the job. They put their trust in Hamas because they
also want to make war on Israel. Hamas largely failed
in what it promised to do because Israel smack them,
and so they are standing in opposition to Hamas because

(02:23):
they want to have another group try to do it instead,
which either which way. Hamas is fighting for its ability
to control the Gaza strip and they will make examples
that of anyone who doesn't stand with them, And that's
what you're seeing.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Unbelievable. Yeah, it doesn't sound like this is over. And
did anybody really think it would be?

Speaker 2 (02:43):
No, it's not over. I mean it's paused at the moment.
I don't really think it's over. It is going to
be hard for Hamas to become what it once was
because the structure around them is gone. There is no
more ability for Iran to financially support them. Iran has
no more HESBAL to act as the muscle and uh
and traffickers of arms and money h vis A via

(03:06):
land bridge known as Syria. Yeah, because Syria is now
in the hands of someone who doesn't like Iran, and
that is a former al Qaeda kingpin who is at
least playing ball with the West, at least for now,
uh and so and of course, the US has turned
off the spigot with regard to money to un organizations
that have been funding Hamas for decades now, like UNRA.

(03:27):
So that turning, turning the tide there has has allowed
Israel to really put the screws to to Hamas in
ways that they haven't been able to do before. Uh.
And with the additional you know, killing of their fighting
force and killing of their brain trust, well most of
it anyway, it's gonna be hard for Hamas to ever

(03:48):
be what it once was.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Well is as we thought the same thing, and here
they come again. So yeah, they they are like whack
them all. They'll they'll pop their ugly heads up again
at some point, no matter what happens here, it's in
their DNA and in their you know, lineage to continue
the evil that they perpetuate across the globe. Eb and
I appreciate you, buddy, thank you
