Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now Evan Brown our Fox Corse Final to
talk about what's going on in the pressure for the
president to release the Epstein files. In fact, Congress is
getting involved now, GOP Representative Thomas Massey teaming up with
the Democrat Representative Rocana. So Evan, here we go. The
push is on. This is not going away. I'm not
sure congressional efforts can do it. The courts may end

(00:20):
up having to get involved in this. But your thoughts
on what's going on here and how it happened.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Well, this is a bill that's being sponsored by Congressman Rocana,
Democrat of California, and Republican Thomas Massey of Kentucky. And
I don't know exactly how far this can go. Congress
could legislate a release of documents, but if there's any
kind of classified information, it may you know, these maybe

(00:47):
a lot of black lines in those documents, so well,
you know, we'll see how far this gets. What is
interesting to me is that up until a week ago,
the Democrats just didn't care about this, and I think
that they perceived this as a possible chinkin President Trump's armor.
For the first time in about seven months since he's
taken office again, and to turn a phrase often used

(01:12):
by DC media types, Democrats are pouncing. And in terms
of Congressman Massey, the Republican of Kentucky, joining in on this, well,
this is what he does. He constantly votes against Republican
is Republican policy directives, and certainly against the President's issues

(01:32):
that he champions. The President had recent words publicly with
you know, Visa vs. Social Media with Congressman Massy over
the air strikes in Iran, something that Congressman Massey deeply opposes,
as he opposes most foreign issues, especially if they happen
to benefit or working in conjunction with the state of Israel.

(01:54):
It seems to be disproportionately focused on those things, and
I I think that he's sort of joining in on this,
But how far it goes, I really don't know. I
also don't really know how much the average Trump voter
who is working day to day and is interested in
no tax on tips and the extension of the twenty

(02:15):
seventeen tax cuts. I don't know how they may not
be fully in love with the fact that not everything
Epstein has been released, but I don't think it translates
to a change in voting patterns on election day of
twenty twenty six for the midterms or twenty twenty eight
for whoever the Republican nominee would be. Since President Trump's

(02:40):
not going to run again.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
You're right about it, and they are pouncing on this
in the Democrats, and it is there's blood in the
water here, and they're going to take every possible advantage
of it and use it to the full sixtent. But
on the other hand, I also agree that these victims
need some accountability in this, and everybody's screaming transparency. You
promised it, Where is it now you're backing up. Something
must be going on, and where are the people screaming

(03:03):
for the victims?

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Well that's another thing. There were a lot of voices
in the online you know, portion of the MAGA movement
that we're screaming and yelling about this and now it
may have you know, overhyped it, and now can't necessarily
deliver on that hype because it may just be that
there really isn't much more to release that it's very
much possibility, and there's going to be a lot of

(03:27):
people who won't accept that answer, just as if they
won't accept the conclusion that mister Epstein killed himself. It's another,
you know, another rabbit hole to go down. So, you know,
I think no one's really going to be happy with
the outcome of this, but I don't think it is
what sinks the Trump's presidency.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, I would agree with you, Evan. I don't think
it's going to go away. And I think there's a
lot of people that have indicated that at some points
we'll get to the bottom of this. And you know,
some people have also said, listen, if there's really nothing
much to it, and that's it, and well, then show
us the nothing that seems to be the argument that
you know, you promised you would and now you're backing up.

(04:10):
Why you're backing up If it's not a big deal,
Well then just put it out there for everybody to
take a look at it. What do you think about
the possibility of getting Epstein's madam Gislaine or Glaine Maxwell,
who's in jail. They've got her, she knows everything to
testify before Congress.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Well, you know a lot of things are probably still
sealed or protected to preserve, you know, to prevent scrutiny
of the victims publicly. That would be undue and unfair.
But if you are Glaine Maxwell's attorneys, you probably are wondering, Hey,
can I use this in an appeal? What's the worst
that can happen? You don't get you get denied of
the appeal. Okay, well then you're back in the same

(04:46):
boat anyway. So I wouldn't be surprised. And you know,
one other thing, I think there's certainly cause in all
of this to ask some other questions about how well
our Justice Department runs things. As we now know that
man and a half or whatever it is, a video
at the Manhattan Federal Lockup is missing, and that's the
minute and a half in which Epstein killed himself. And

(05:09):
the excuse finally given to us by Pam Bondi, the
Attorney General, is that the old video system just has
a normal reset at midnight every night, and it misses
ninety minutes ninety seconds of video every night. Well, how
come we're still using a video program or a video
system that does that in the year twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Yeah, maybe we have we up there?

Speaker 2 (05:28):
It is, yeah, right, you know, I mean, yeah, well
that's another issue.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah, And there's also the possibility that, hey, the Trump
administration and the FBI and Pam Bondi and everybody got
the files, you know, finally and they opened the box
and like did not realize this was in here. And
there may be some national security issues, some violence against
different people issues that we just don't know about, you know.
And I'm one that would be good with messaging changing

(05:56):
a bits to say, listen, we found some things. There's
still some investigation going on, and you know, we can't
uncover and you know, bring everything out now as to
not you know, influence and hurt the investigation. So at
that point we will at some point. We're not ready now.
I would be great with that, but me along with others, yeah,

(06:18):
you know, we're getting to run around.

Speaker 2 (06:20):
It seems like, yeah, some people were getting it. Also
didn't help that the big release with the binders to
the social media influencers was a whole nothing burger filled
with you know, things that had been previously released and
just now collated into a nice binder. I don't think
that that witness that sat well with a lot of people.
It does. You know, one could argue it looks suspicious.

(06:40):
I don't know if it looks suspicious or it just
looks you know, right, competent, but you know I again,
does this translate into a sinking of the Trump second presidency? No,
I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
I agree with him all right, Evin, Thank you for
the insight. Thanks for the updating.
