Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, we're getting close midterms right around the corner here,
and election integrity obviously something that we need to be
concerned about across the country here. There are some states
that do it better than others, but there are still
a lot of problems out there when it comes to
folks voting, especially when it comes to illegals voting. It's
just common sense. You've got to be a US citizen
(00:20):
to vote in our elections. Here. Fair is now launching
an investigation into these states that facilitate voting by illegal aliens.
Hannah Davis joins us now, Hannah, good.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Morning, Thanks for having me. Good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
You know, it's weird that we're even having this discussion
after everything we've been through over the past you know,
ten years actually about you know, how we vote in
this country, what's legal and what's not legal, and yet
there are people that want to skirt the law to
just gain more votes. I mean, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (00:50):
Yeah, I mean, you're exactly right. And you know, we
at Fair of launch and investigation and I'm leading this one,
and we're looking into states that have what I like
to call it trifecta. They give driver's license to illegal aliens.
They have automatic voter registration, and then on top of
those two things, they have universal mail and voting. And
so I'm contacting these states to see what safeguards, if any,
(01:12):
they have set in place to ensure that illegal aliens
aren't placed on their voter rules. And you know, it's essentially,
at its heart, a election integrity report, an investigation into
accountability to see if we're even going to get responses
back from these states, and we have, but there's a
lot of gaps in transparency. For example, some states are
giving us stuff but it's not really what we're asking for.
(01:34):
And in other states like Colorado have said that if
we pay them six point twenty five million dollars that
they'll give us the information. And so obviously they're trying
to hide things. But what our goal is is to
get down to the bottom of it and ensure that,
you know, election integrity doesn't get pushed to the wayside
because of a leftist open borders agenda and states it's
(01:56):
only getting worse, like in California. Rep.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Swallwell.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Eric Swalwell recently set during his guberneurial bid that he
would like for Californians to be able to vote by phone,
and so it's just it's nonsense out there and we're
trying to crack through.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, the next thing is gonna be well, look, you know,
I can't tell if it's AI or if it's a
real person. Just go ahead and put the vote down anyway.
I mean, it's ridiculous as I mean robo calls. You
can do it by a computer and send you know,
hundreds of thousands of calls out in one day, one swoop.
You know. So he's pushing to technologically make that possible
to vote. I mean, wants to stop the worst case
(02:32):
scenario from happening of oh my gosh, look at all
these votes coming in for all these Democrats. Not one
of them was real. It's ludicrous. I mean, just get
back to the basics. Okay, no more. You know, voting month,
it's election day, so I get absentee and things like that.
But this whole different ways to vote and how we
(02:52):
count votes and who gets to vote. It's got to
be uniform, especially when it comes to federal elections for
president and congress members and things like this. If you're
involved in politics and you're running for a federal office,
really any office, but especially there's got to be some standards.
I don't you know. I know there's people wh push
back on national elections, so to speak, and it's up
(03:13):
to the states. I'm not saying take that away, but
my gosh, do we not have any common sense ground
where we can say yes and no to you voting?
You got to check the boxes here exactly. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
We deserve for our elections to be lawful and accurate
and so across the board, and especially with our federal elections.
So it'll be interesting to see what research we gain
and we get back from the States regarding this investigation,
and when it comes out, I would love to talk
to you about it.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
All right. Well, speaking of legal what's happening with DHS. Now,
they've been to a number of different cities. Obviously lots
of protesting, violence breaks out, but this is what our
president ran on. This is also what DHS is doing
in our Department of Homeland Security secretary is saying, look,
we're going on to these cities that need us in
our ice, you know, implementing the law and clean up
(03:58):
the situation that Biden presented it and created. So next up,
I guess New Orleans, Mississippi.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, that's what it's looking like. It's called swamp sweep.
He wants to start after Thanksgiving down in Louisiana, specifically
targeting New Orleans and a little bit of Mississippi. They
want to roughly around five thousand people they want to
round up and deport, you know, and the mayor elect
of New Orleans is obviously a Democrat, and you know,
(04:25):
she's launched an immigration resource website and it's called on
the Community, nonprofits and the legal community, talking about due
process and how she's concerned. She's really just stroking the
fear mongrain fire and divisiveness there in the city. But
you know, I think it's worth pointing out that Louisiana
is an anti sanctuary state, one of the few in
the nation. But New Orleans has always defied that law.
(04:46):
New Orleans has never cooperated with federal agents, doesn't detain people,
doesn't honor detainers. And I think, you know, it's just
it's going to be successful, just like the similar operation
that was recently completed in Charlotte. Charlotte's Webb. I mean,
they arrested close to three hundred people, pretty bad people
with their rap sheets. And I think that if they're
targeting this area and trying to round up five thousand people.
(05:09):
They're going to be pretty successful, and like I said,
they start after the holiday.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah. Those that support lawlessness in this country, I'll never
understand it. I'm sorry. The laws are there for a
reason and it's just been so out of control with
four years of Biden's lackluster enforcement that they think that
should be the norm and that's how we out to
run this country. It will destroy this country if this
is allowed to continue. Well, Hannah, thank you so much.
(05:33):
I appreciate you. This morning. Hanna Davis with a Federation
for American Immigration Reform
