Speaker 1 (00:00):
Join us now to take a look at some of
the elections tomorrow, Rain smells our Fox correspondent in DC.
Welcome in, Ryan, glad to have you.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hey, good to be on JT. How are you.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I'm done good? So here we go. A big day
in New York City tomorrow. Is the socialist Mundani looks
like he's going to pull this one out unless a
miracle happens and we keep this crazy man out of
the city. But oh my gosh, what else is going on?
We've got some pivotal gubernatorial races too, Yes, we do.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Virginia. You got Abigail Spanberger trying to split Virginia blue
by defeating Winsome Earl Sears, the current lieutenant governor and
the Republican nominee. Then you also have got in New Jersey,
Jack Chitarelli, who is the Republican nominee. He is trying
to once again pull off the upset in New Jersey
by defeating Mikey Cheryl. They're a Democratic congresswoman who's trying

(00:52):
to keep that seat blue and keep mind Shittarelli was
kind of an afterthought during the gubernatorial race four years
ago in New Jersey, but came very close to unseating
and incumbent there. So we'll see if this is any
different this time around. And you know, my people, I
point out that, you know, for Republicans able to flip
a deep blue good governor seat in an off election

(01:14):
year when it's supposed to be a quote unquote blue
wave in twenty twenty six, that would be a huge
wave of momentum for Republicans when it comes to keeping
the House in the Senate.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Well, I got to tell you when you look at
New Jersey and you're right, bluer than blue, I mean
bluer than New York, which is kind of tough to
understand and comprehend, but yes, very important race there, and
if that does happen, it'd be awesome like Glenn youngin
you know, winning in Virginia before. So when you look
at what's happening in New York City, how is Washington
reacting to this? What kind of vibe you get when

(01:46):
you talk to other folks around the country, And I
know you're on other stations as well, Ryan, getting folks
updated on what's happening in DC. What's the general vibe
around the country on Mundani, Well, I think the funny
thing is that Republicans are trying to tie that national
Democratic Party to Mam Donnie.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Is as much as possible. And I mean, it's fascinating
that Chuck Schumer is still yet to endorse him, despite
us being one day away now from that mayoral race.
And then you also have you know, some Democrats from
New York who have refused to endorse him, and they're
going to be in key house seats coming up. So
you know, it certainly isn't it's become an interesting topic.

(02:24):
He certainly has galvanized the country and made it very
and brought a lot of attention to this race. But
you know, I would say that there is a big
question about the future of the Democratic Party. And you know,
while while Democrats on the national level might say this
person really has nothing to do with, you know, the
presidential race in twenty twenty eight or or even the
mid terms for in some cases, you know, there are

(02:46):
others who think that this could be a moment and
certainly could stand out. But you know, there's a lot
of factors as to why his rises happened. But Republicans
on the national level are trying to say it's because
the national party's going farther to the left.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Well, I don't know if it's just a handful, but
it seems to be the socialist left that's really making
the most noises, getting the most pressed. It may appear
that that's the new party, but I still think the
Democratic Party as lost as they are and don't really
have a foundation of what they believe or any policies
are going to help them the American people. I think

(03:21):
Keem Jefferies, for instance, is just a name. I don't
see any real substance to him. I don't think he's
the new leader there. You look at Gavin Newsoman California,
is he really going to be the guy that runs
for president for the Democrats next time? Chuck Schumer in
the old guard, I think they're pretty much washed out.
It's what is this Democratic Party going to look like

(03:42):
come to midterms next year and then in twenty twenty eight?
Who they bring forward? Because if they're on track right
now and have to make the decision today losers, Sorry,
no direction, I don't see it.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, you bring up an a sentering point where it's
the progressive wing has certainly had a lot better opportunity
to or done a lot better job of getting attention
and getting on TV and getting the news to cover them.
And you know, it's a challenge right now, especially for
moderates because you know, they got to compe with President
Trump for the news cycle, and President Trump eats up

(04:15):
a lot of news, especially when Democrats are in the
minority and aren't the ones who are able to drive
legislation right now. So it's kind of one of those
problems you never thought was a thing until you actually
just are watching it happen and watching Democrats try to
get attention by not being not saying things that are
you know, attention grabbing, and it's just hard to do.
And you know, we talked about twenty twenty eight. I mean,

(04:35):
I think a lot of us are expecting JT this
this race to be kind of like that you know,
the clown car where it's just like there's so many
people inside it, and you know, you wonder how they
even found room to put so many people in that
in that car, because I mean you could look it
upwards of twenty plus candidates running in twenty twenty eight,
and you know, could somebody like Andy Basheer break away

(04:57):
from the pack and lead them down a different route
that's not you know, farther to the left. I mean,
you know, it's a long way away, and there's a
lot of candidates that we're possibly looking at too well.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
There's also the potential for more people to leave the
party and become independent, and what will the independent factor
be come next year or yeah, even into twenty twenty eight.
So all right, Ryan, thank you buddy. I appreciate you.
