Speaker 1 (00:00):
Talking now about what's happening with Elon Musk. So long,
farewell my friend. Nice job as he led DOGE, but
he was there for one hundred and thirty days. White
House Press Secretary Caroline love It talking about this and
what will happen next with DOGE DOJE.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
We know that Elon Musk is leaving. Do you have
an updated leadership structure for who is leading the group?
Is rest vote involved and what is its new mission now?
And then well, the entire cabinet is involved, and I
spoke to the President about it this morning, and the
entire cabinet understands the need to cut government waste, fraud
and abuse. And each Cabinet secretariat their respective agencies is
(00:35):
committed to that. That's why they were working hand in
hand with Elon Musk. And they'll continue to work with
the respective DOGE employees who have onboarded as political appointees
at all of these agencies. So surely the mission of
DOGE will continue. And many DOGE employees are now political
appointees and employees of our government, and the best of
my knowledge, all of them intend to stay and continue
(00:56):
as impart work. Is there a DOGE leader taking the
places again. The DOGE leaders are each and every member
of the President's cabinet and the President himself, who was
wholeheartedly committed to cutting waste, fraud, and abuse from our government.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
Johining, he's not to talk a little bit more about
this is James Maloney, a founder and managing partner over
there at Tiger Hill. James, so it is going to
look different. But will Elon be in the background and
have the bat phone just in case the president needs them?
Speaker 3 (01:20):
I believe he will, And I think, you know, Elon
serves and I think the Press Secretary captured this perfectly.
You know, he was sort of the wake up call
here in Washington and Town. We're quite used to operating slowly,
and he came in, he worked fast, he used unorthodox tactics.
And I was talking to senior members of the DOSE
team last night. They fully believe in what they're doing.
They have no plans to slow down. And I believe Elon,
(01:42):
will you maintain a position in the background to be
there as support as needed. But as said President Trump,
the agency leaders of the cabinet, they're fully aligned with
the DOGE mission. You know, there's about one hundred employees
now they're planning to grow to about two hundred by
next year. So everything is, you know, sort of fully
on track. And I think he laid the groundwork perfectly
(02:03):
with the time that he had in Washington.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
You know, I think he was the right guy at
the right time. Elon was and very smart and right
to the point. Tried to stay out of the emotions
and the political bias on all of this, and it
was very pragmatic in his approach to you, bringing me
on to look for government waste and fraud. I can
do that. He ran the risk, and it did decline
his Tesla brand and his popularity declined due to what
(02:26):
a lot of folks thought were extreme cuts. But at
the end of the day, I still don't understand why
the Democrats unless they just didn't like their world being
turned over for the sake of we have a nice
world and we like it and you're going to lose
some money and control and all this. But other than that,
I would think that ninety percent of the country's going, yeah,
we need to do this.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
It's a fascinating thing. I mean, you look at any
private sector company or any organization outside of Washington, and
they're always looking for ways to eliminate waste and operate
an optimal capacity and up. It's the opposite dynamic here
in DC, and Elon shined the light on it. And
you know, some folks did not like that, but I
think you know this, you could call it a shock
(03:08):
and awe approach. It was needed in order to take
on sort of the entrench powers that have built up
over the years. And it's important need on the democratic side.
This was a concept that was first brought up by
President Clinton, and it was brought up again by President Obama.
President Trump is just the first one to actually do
it and implement, as you said, the right person for
the job, Elon Musk to come in, work fast, work loud,
(03:31):
and shine a light on it.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Will it remained front and center in the media, in
the company, or not the company, but in the White
House with this president and the American people, or now
that Elon's stepping away and the cabinet's going to handle it,
will it become more of a bag burner. You know,
we're still doing it, but it's not going to have
the attention it has with Elon.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
I think some of the attention will die down. You know,
of course, Elon knows how to get headlines. But I
do believe that you know, now that they're there are
folks within these agencies, they'll work, will continue it and
you know, in fact, I think you know it'll just
you know, we'll continue to find more effective ways to
reduce unneeded programs when needed spending. Yeah, you know, there
(04:14):
are folks in place who really understand how DC works.
They've been here for a while and they know the areas.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
To look for absolutely well. Great insight, James Maloney, Thank you, buddy.
