Jeff Monosso talks MN Governor Tim Walz's fraud scandal

And our Fox correspondent Jeff Maan also joining us now

as he is in the part of country near Minnesota,
and Jeff, welcome in. I got to tell you this
Tim Wallas guy is a whacko. We saw that with
a campaign trail with Kamala Harrison. Now, boy, this whole
thing with the fraud case going over there, I mean,
it's insane. What's happening. A lot of people calling for
this guy to resign, get out of there. So where
are we in this whole thing.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Yeah, the pressure is building both in Minnesota and nationally
with one of the biggest names, JT calling for him
to resign. It's from Education Secretary Linda McMahon. She's blasting,
you know, his handling of the massive and developing fraud
of crisis in the state, which, by the way, a
former US attorney says could top two billion dollars, maybe

even more. But this includes the theft of over ten
million dollars from the Minnesota college education system. So she's
calling for him to resign to step down. Separately, the
Department of Education also announced that since President Trump returned
to the White House that his administration has been able
to claw back more than a billion dollars in student

aid fraud, including stopping suspected bots and ghost students from
obtaining taxpayer funded loans. That's just in the education side,
never met never mind social services and other things that
have been happening across the country, but specifically h in Minnesota,
for which Governor Walls has been catching a lot of heat.
Even hundreds of state employees and whistleblowers have blown the

lid on this, saying, look, we told him, he's known
about every aspect of this fraud that that we've caught,
and we've even implemented ways to stop it. But he
never took our advice, never heard from us. I would
never hear us, never hear our story. And and so
uh for his part, he's takeing. He says, I take responsibility.
You know, all stops with me. But he's also recently

announced a statewide forensic auditing program, saying the state has
been taken advantage of by an organized group of fraudsters
and criminals.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Well, it's amazing how deep this is. And I think
we're just seeing the tip of the iceberg on this thing.
And the people that are accountable are hopefully will be
held accountable and have some you know, consequences and all this.
I hope they don't just scratch the service with us
and try and protect people that were involved in need
you know now, Oh, let's not get too crazy with it.
I hope they just you know, put these people away.
