Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is John Mountain for JT and we're continuing our
coverage as we talk about the events that unfolded yesterday.
I guess about noon when Charlie Kirk, if you're just
waking up and hearing this, was speaking as he does
many times his whole thing as he goes to campuses
and he spreads, he spreads his message, and yes, it's
a conservative message. It's it's a very conservative message. It's

(00:21):
also a very Christian message. And he's he was unabashed
in his advocacy for Christianity, and he is you know,
I was thinking about this. He is a modern day Apostle.
If you think about the Apostles, what their job were,
and they were regular people. They weren't like they weren't
learned people who went on to some sort of great

(00:44):
you know, institution, learn all these things. They were just
regular guys. They were fishermen, you know, and they were
out there after, especially after Jesus was crucified, they continue
to go in the world and they shared his message.
And that's exactly what Charlie Kirk was doing. He was
taking up that same that same message, and just like
the Apostles, Charlie Kirk died for his faith. In fact,

(01:04):
listen to this. This is how the other apostles died.
I looked this up for the show. James, son of Zebedee,
he was beheaded. Peter was crucified upside down in Rome.
Andrew was crucified on an X shape cross in Greece.
Thomas stabbed Philip put to death, with some accounts saying
he was crucified or stabbed. Bartholomew was flayed alive. That
sounds terrible, then crucified. Matthew was martyin Ethiopia. Thaddeus or

(01:29):
Jude was killed in Persia, and Simon of Zeelot I'm
butchering the name of some of these places, was executed
in Persia. James stoned to death and then clubbed, and
John banished to the island of Paithmos and later freed
but died of old age. So all of the apostles,

(01:50):
very vera died in much the same way,
