Speaker 1 (00:00):
Mackenzie. How many cats do you have now? Are you
a crazy cat lady?

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Ye? I only have two. Okay, don't preface it.

Speaker 1 (00:05):
Like that now. I think two is the max.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
And I've had them for seven years as of next month.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Well, good for you. And I've seen these cats and
photos and videos and stuff, and they seem very sweet.
They're not attack cats or is one of them a
little feistier than the other.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
They're very civil. And my girl cat has no tail.
My boy cat has bobtail. I got them on clearance.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
From the shelter, no tail. What happened?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I don't know they came like that? No they didn't,
they did. I mean I got them when they were kittens.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
You're talking about born like that. Maybe I was born
that way.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Yeah, I don't know what happened. I don't think someone
cut them off. I mean, you see cats without tails
more often than you would anticipate.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Yeah, Doberman's get their tails cut and get their ears
clipped up and all that. But they don't do that
to cats, do they don't fish?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
I don't think so. I think that their litter just
had something.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Okay, Well, do your cats get outside or they outsider inside?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
I have a balcony that I let them out on sometimes,
but they get a little bit too cute and that
makes me nervous. They're not outside cats.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Yeah can if they get on the balcony, they could
take off, couldn't they.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah they're I mean they behave, but no, they could
definitely get Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Well, this is a bit of a bizarre cat situation.
Here a woman's nine to one one call after an
eagle dropped a cat through her windshield.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
I drive that road every single morning. I did see
the bald eagle coming from a distance, and I'm not
used to seeing them there, so I'm like, wow, that's amazing.
I realized I had something with it once I realized
it was a cat that barely had a hold on it,
and it dropped it right on my windshield. It sounded
like a bomb went off. There's glass everywhere. I could
see the cat in my passenger seat. I have guts

(01:37):
all over me. There's glass everywhere. Thankfully, the cat was
dead long before it ever hit my windshield. I could
tell it's insights were outside. Of course, insurance is a battle,
so I'm trying to get them to help me out.
She's like, we never hear stories like this, You're going
to be the talk of my entire division for quite
a while.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
There's a story for the grandkids.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
You're not going to believe this. Kids. You ready for this?
In fact, listen to my nine to one one call
playing County nine one one.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Okay, you may not believe me, but I just kind
of bald eagle drop a cat through my windshield. It
absolutely shattered my windshield. I do believe you, honestly.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Oh my goodness, I've heard crazier.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Well that's right.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah, another question, is the cat still alive?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
No, it is not, but it's on the side of
the road. Okay.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I have to ask this to make sure. That's nervous
laughter there.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
That's why I would terrify me.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Oh my gosh, is the cat still alive? Lady? What
are you talking about? It dropped from a bald eagle's
grip into a windshield.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
You know. Speaking of crazy situations, I saw a girl
on TikTok with a storytime. She went into this mall
she'd never been in.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
Before, into a mall, yes, okay, And she.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Was about to go into a store, and she noticed
about twenty people standing outside of the store looking at something.
And she was walking in and she saw what she
believed to be a bird, and she said, no problem.
She used to work at home depot.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
You know I've seen birds in home deepot exactly.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
Well, she goes in the store and she kind of
realizes that nobody's really walking in. Everyone's still outside. She's
only one in there. And she realizes she's looking at
this bird face to face. It's not a bird. It's
a bat.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Oh my oh.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
And so she's fighting it off. She's like, oh my gosh,
it's embarrassed it's close to her. Yeah, it did attacks her.
And so then she looks back through the glass of
the crowd of people, and the boy looks at her
and goes, it's on your back.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
Oh my gosh, oh my.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
This bat latched onto her back and was rabbid, I
mean rabies.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, what how did what? Did she rip her clothes.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Off, which she she ran out into the crowd. I
was screaming for help. But you know, you've got mothers
guarding your children from this bat.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That's awful.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
They don't want, you know, their kids having rabies. But yeah,
I mean that made my skin crawl hearing that story.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
You remember the squirrel came out of the tree in
National Lamploon's Christmas vacation. Yeah, jumped on Papa and then
it run around the tay and the dog chases it.
You know. So, uh so, did did she get bid
or anything? Did she? Is she okay?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Apparently bat bites. She was explaining what the police and
first responders were telling her. You don't really feel them.
Apparently they're small, is from what she said. And so
the store was instructed to have the health department come
out and get the bat so that they could test
it for rabies.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Good idea.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
The store through the bat away what Yeah. So I
don't know if that's a lawsuit or what that is.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
But so she had to go through the raby shots
as a precaution.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I mean I would too. I wouldn't risk it, you
know what.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
And next time you see a crowd of people standing
around they don't want to go in the store, you
might want to, you know, little heads up, some crazy
bats flying around in there. Oh my god, it's on
my back. I would have flipped out.
