Speaker 1 (00:00):
Senate confirmations continued yesterday for some of the people, some
of the people that President Trump has nominated. These were
not you know, the upper echelon cabinet members. These were assistants.
This is kind of cool, but also lower level governmental positions.
Senate confirmed herschel Walker to for you know, the to
(00:20):
Brios ambassador to the Bahamas yesterday. And there's a nice
gig if you can get it. Herschel Walker obviously a
superstar at Georgia playing football, won the Heisman Trophy back
in eighty two, played the USFL NFL ran for Senate
and Georgia back in twenty twenty two, and you know,
Trump backed him up, but he lost to the incumbent there,
Raphael Warnock, remember that Senate race. But he is the
(00:43):
first Senate confirmed ambassador to the Bahamas in over a decade.
He and more than one hundred Trump nominees were confirmed
yesterday in a single fifty one to forty seven vote.
So that that worked out really well there. It also
worked out for doctor Brian Christine, who was confirmed here
as RFK Junior's assistant secretary. How about that. Yeah, this
(01:08):
took place yesterday afternoon. He was appointed by a vote
of fifty to forty five late yesterday afternoon early evening,
and he will be the Assistant Secretary of Health and
doctor Brian Christine going to be the primary advisor to
RFK Junior. That's pretty good. He's obviously doctor Brian Christine
(01:29):
works at Eurology Associates or the Eurology Center here in Birmingham.
And know this man Nan who ran for Senate here
as well at one point. But good guy. So congratulations
to doctor Brian Christine on that maneuver there. Very nice. Well,
the National Guard, as we know, has moved into Illinois
now and the governor from Texas said, yeah, glad to
(01:54):
help out. Greg Abbott posted on x and said they're
putting America first by ensuring that the federal government can
safely enforce the law there. They've got to protect these
federal employees and you know, carrying out the federal laws
when it comes to rounding up illegals and immigration problems here.
So when people start getting violent against law enforcement, you
(02:14):
know something's got to be done about it. And that's
what's happening here. Christy Nolan, let's go cut seven. I
was talking about this yesterday Department, Homeland Secretary and ripping
the Portland leaders. See, this is a problem not only
in Illinois. This is going on in Oregon and other
cities as well, where where Ice is, you know, making
(02:35):
inroads and doing their jobs and carrying out what President
Trump ran on and promised would be done. We were
going to crack down and illegal immigration. We're going to
get the wall secure again. We're going to make America's
city safe again. And the pushback from the crazy left,
socialists or just you know, they don't like the laws,
(02:56):
they don't go about changing them, you know, the right way.
Let's just go ahead and get violent on. So she
laid into him, Christine Home, these Portland leaders over this
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
This mayor is going to wait until somebody gets violently
hurt or killed. He's going to have blood on his
hands because he sat around and thought too long, because
he's too scared of the political ramifications of making a
big decision to keep his city safe.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
So yeah, one hundred percent there, Pam Bondi, as where
we were talking about, let's go with cut eight here, Mackenzie.
This is a kind of a montage as she was
dealing with these Democrats coming after her yesterday on the Hill,
they are going to transfer Texas National Guard units to
the state of Illinois. What's the rationale for that?
Speaker 3 (03:39):
The National Guard are on the way to Chicago. If
you're not going to protect your citizens, President Trump will.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Under this Trump administration and the leadership of Attorney General Bondi,
I believe the independence of the Department of Justice has
come under attack. So my first question a Training General
Bondi is a simple yes no question. Do you believe
that government officials like Gregor Bovino are obligated to follow
applicable court orders whether they agree with them or not?
(04:10):
Yes or no.
Speaker 3 (04:11):
First, Senator Padilla, you have gone on for over five minutes,
and I wish that you loved your state of California
as much as you hate President Trump. Would be in
really good shape then, Because violent crime in California is
currently thirty five percent higher than the national average. Property
crime in California is eighteen percent higher than the national average.
(04:32):
That should be something that we should be talking about
and working together on.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Yeah, speaking of some pushback now, Border Patrol Commander Gregory
Bavino was talking about the alleged gang leader that they
rounded up and charged and murder for his hire, you know,
murder for higher scheme that he was running. This happened
in Chicago, this guy that was the leader of one
of these big gangs, and the Border Patrol commander Gregory
Bovino blamed Chicago leadership in this.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Look at what the governor or the mayor are talking about.
They are the reason that gang members feel comfortable enough
to do something like that.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yeah, they're just not tough on crime and don't really
care about enforcing the current laws on the books. And
you know, this president's about law and order and getting
her done. As she said, if you're not going to
do it, we're going to protect citizens in our country.
