Speaker 1 (00:00):
Paul de Marco's in the studio with us and Kevin

(00:02):
Flannagan now joins us to take a look at the
movies opening up this weekend. It's gonna be kind of
a rainy weekend, so if you're looking for a good movie,
there's some good ones out there. And then Kevin's gonna
stay with us and Paul and on the bottom of
the hour after the news, we're going to do the
secret sound game that's coming up. As McKenzie's pulled a
good one, she says, and uh yeah, is it a
long winners as short? When you go on, it's your
short one again, real, real quick one. Okay, great, So

(00:26):
they're tough. So we're gonna see Kevin first of all,
if you can hear the secret sound and play with us,
because if you can hear it loud and clear, then
we're gonna start involved with a listener and havin winners
every week. All right, So Kevin, welcome in Hanks, thanks
for being with me this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
Great to be with you this morning. And JT. I'm
looking forward to winning the condo by getting that secret sound.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Okay, well good yeah. If you win, you know, then
Paul and I have to buy you a biscuit.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Oh, I thought it was a condu at the beach
and a new car condu at the beach.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Well, I appreciate you working that deal out for our listeners.
It'd be great. All right, let's talk about these three
movies opening up this weekend. First one, Hurry Up Tomorrow,
New movie. What's it all about?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, this is kind of weird. It's got a little
horror fil to feel too. It's got some psychological thriller.
It's got the musical side to it. There's what you got.
This guy's a musician. He loses his voice, he gets down,
life's not going away, he wants He ends up leaving stage.
He runs into this girl and they end up running
off together to try to work through his issues. It's

(01:28):
all based on his songs, and what she perceived is
his lack of honesty in his songs. But hey, people
get killed, places get burned down. I mean, it's got
all that going on. And then it is kind of
weird too. So this is kind of movie that somebody
wrote when they were using something that you and I
don't think should be legal in the state of Alabama.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Yeah, I'm not sure. I'm gonna go see this one.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
I still have some other ones the kids out with,
like Amateur with a guy that played Freddy Mercury and
the Queen Movie. I have yet to see that Cia movie.
That looks pretty good too. And let's not forget about it.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I want to see the account to don't miss that
one either. That's out there still.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Well. The account Too is now streaming as well.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Judy and I rewatched The Accountant Number one from I
Guess twenty sixteen. So anyway, now the big movie opening
up this weekend. I hope it's a good one. The
Ruse is that's what it called.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yeah, that's what it is, and it's This was a
mystery kind of a thriller. You're gotta think you walk
into a horror film initially. So there's a there's a
girl that's hired to take care of an elderly lady
in her home out on the coast of the Pacific northeast.
And while she's there taking care of this lady, weird
stuff happens, you know. The old lady's kind of she
thinks she's crazy talking about people there in the house

(02:38):
who aren't in the house. At least we don't think
they're in the house, and then it turns out that
the caregiver just before her actually disappeared in the agency
didn't mention that to her. So now she's taken that
girl's place, and weird stuff happening, weird people showing up.
But will I want folks to know that this is
not a horror and it's not some supernw. It is
a good mystery thriller. So this is a fun one

(02:59):
to go and in joy. Just be ready to jump
and shout a little bit, all right.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And finally, Final Destination is this another one of those It.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Is bloodlines also known a Final Destination six. So back
in the sixties, this young lady was at an opening
of a beautiful facility in Seattle and had a glass
dance floor and all that kind of stuff. Well, she
had a premonition that the chandelier was going to break,
crack the floor, and everybody was going to die. So
she gets everybody out. Then that happens, but she saves

(03:28):
all these lives. Well guess what, Death, Death had a
plan who was going to die that night? So now
you know, sixty years later, she shows up. Death shows
up at a family gathering. If you've ever played the
game mousetrap. What you see happening is this happens, leads
to this, to this, to this, until ultimately somebody dies
and you kind of wait to see who's it going
to be and h but the one girl who has

(03:50):
a chance to thwart death again happens to be at
the party, so we don't know if that's going to happen.
But this is a typical final destination. It's just all
about one of the crazy ways people can die that
you didn't see.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Kevin mackenzie, you've seen these movies before. I've never seen one. Dude,
are these Do you like these movies? Do you like
horror films?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
First one, I love horror movies, so I like these movies.
I'm you're excited to see it. Would you put this
in a horror category? Yeah, definitely, Okay.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
So you're okay. The last horror film Judy and I
went saw was The Conjuring.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Oh okay, well that's a whole different ballgame, that's right.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
And I watched the entire thing peeking through my fingers
as I covered my face with this whole thing.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
So not in my cup of tea, all right, Kevin
stay with us.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
We're gonna play the secret sound game at the bottom
of the hour news and to check on trafficking weather
together as well. Stay with us A thirty four Now
Alabama This Morning News. I'm jt all right, Kevin Flannagan
still with us, Kevin, you're there, I'm here all right.
Paul de Marco's still in the studio. Mackenzie's ready to
go with her secret sound this week. Here's how we play.
Kevin Mackenzie will play the secret sound once and then

(04:50):
twice no clues out of the gate, and we each
get a guess, and if we don't get it, we
go another round hear the sound, and then Mackenzie will
give us clue it was until somebody finally gets it. So,
since you're new, you get to go first in this
whole thing, or you can choose to go last, but
I would predict that you probably should go first in
case you really know what it is. That way you

(05:11):
can be the winner out of the gate. So the
big thing is we're trying to see if you can
actually hear this play one time. Let's see if you
can hear it all right.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Here we go.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Pat it up a little bit louder. Okay, can you
hear that?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
I did?

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Okay, you got the first guess what do you think
it is?

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I think I want the last guess what?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Okay? All right? What it was?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
All right?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Paul? Is this a bowling ball knocking down pins?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
It is?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Man?

Speaker 3 (05:41):
That was my guess was obviously that. Yeah, that was
a good one.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I think there was a double sound of the double
the second sound kind of yeah, let's hear it.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
There you go. You heard that? You said you have
a beach house, Kevin?

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Kevin, did you have a beach house or something? Is
it not acuit?

Speaker 1 (05:58):
I got plenty of biscuits us.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Giving away a condo at the beach and a new car,
is what I heard.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
That's yeah, that's I don't know what station you've been
listening to, but please let me know it. Like, well, Kevin,
I appreciate you, buddy, thank you for sticking around with us.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
And we'll do the secret sound game next.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Week too, so y'all know you have a good day.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
We'll be listening, all right, buddy, have a good weekend.
