Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT. Headed into another weekend, Kevin planning,
and our movie guy joins us. Now some good ones
opening up. Let's start with the big one for the
kids in the family, Pets on a train. How about it, Kevin?

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, j T. I'm I'm not usually excited like this,
but I like all four movies that we're talking about
this morning, and it starts with this one. This is
a This is a fun animated movie for kids. It's
raight at Pg's a couple of little frightening scenes in
there on occasion. But they've got what they call animal bandits.
So you and I know what animal animal bandits are there?
Raccoon's getting in your trash can and stuff. Well, they

(00:32):
elevate that to a little bit of a level here.
So these this group of animals are you know, they're
little petty criminals, usually just trying to steal them a meal,
but they get caught up in a train heist. So
it's the animal bandits, uh, led by falcon a raccoon. Yeah,
there's a little interesting play. Why you named himself after
a bird? You got a righteous police dog who's in
there with them as well, and so these guys are

(00:54):
trying to stop a train highs. Well, I'll see themselves.
It's just a lot of fun with a lot of cartoons.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
All right. The second one Grow What's going on here?

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, so cool live action movie, A little bit of
a Love the Earth kind of nothing wrong with that.
But you got a girl who's orphaned and goes to
live with her aunt way out in the country somewhere,
and she has this special gift where she can touch
a plant and feel its emotions, and so if it's lonely,
she knows it's lonely. If it's hungry, it's hungry. I
don't even know if that's an emotion. But she gets

(01:26):
caught up in the small town's pumpkin growing competition, and
she is gonna grow the winning pumpkin. And she gets
a fun group of characters around her, just kind of
the outcast from the little community, and they're gonna grow
a pumpkin and enter it in the community's big pumpkin festival.
But it's fun characters, it's fun activities, fun actions, and
I just think it's a fun movie for the family.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
All right. After the Hunt, Julia Roberts back with another movie,
Please tell me. This is a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, Hey, psychological drama, crime, all those things we like, thriller.
She plays the college professor and she's got a secret
in her past that nobody knows and she don't want
him to know, and she don't think it's anybody's business
to know. But she has a situation come up at
the school between a professor and a student. She gets
drawn into it, and then she gets drawn deeper and

(02:13):
deeper into this inappropriate relationship story. Something about her past
begins to resurface, and the crime and the thriller who
begins to happen right there. So I won't give anything away,
but it is a good one. And I like Julia
Robertson these.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Kind of roles excellent. And Kiana Reeves has got another
movie called Good Fortune. What's going on with this? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So Keana Reeves plays this kind of not very good
guardian Angel and he gets caught up in the story
of a young guy played by as He's and sorry
a lot of folks remember him from some of his
TV roles, but he wrote this and directs this, and
he plays a guy who's really down on his luck.

(02:53):
Keana Reeve's character decides he's going to help him out,
and so in his attempt to help him, it goes
all kind of wrong. Seth Rogan's in this as well,
plays a wealthy guy, and so Keno tells you and
Sorry's character, look, you don't want to be wealthy. That
doesn't solve your problems, he says, let me try it,
so they swap. Well, actually getting wealthy does solve all
his problems. So King o'brees gets kicked out of the

(03:15):
Guardian Angel Corps ends up being roommates with Seth Rogan's character.
A lot of fun, a lot of interesting life messages,
and ken l Reeve just does a good job in
this movie. So hey, there's something for everybody at the
theaters this week, and go have fun.
