Here's another good news story to an elder care home
in England using robotic dogs and cats to help combat
loneliness for the residents. Here's some of the residents playing
with the cats and dogs that are robots. Hello, yo,
come on, come on, maybe face look.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
I just have one question. Who voices that mew?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Who got hired to do that?

Speaker 1 (00:37):
You know? I have another question for you. Do they
know their robots or have they been told they're real? Oh?

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Would that be elderly care a ball if you told
them they were real?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Did any of your kids ever have the robot dog
in the early two thousands? Yeah, yeah, I love that thing.
I used to beg my mom for that for Christmas
one here.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, but they clearly look like they're.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Running, you know, I don't look like real dogs.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
See batteries, you know, no batteries and clue you know
they like and then they bounce on four legs and
move too, you know, yeah two inches forward. But you
could clearly tell there were toys these robots they have today.
I'm not sure that these folks know they were not real,
which would be awful. I don't know that.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I want to see a picture of them. I need
to look that up, don't.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
I don't know. I mean they seem very pleasant. The
people they're enjoying the robotic animals seem to be enjoying it.
I mean, it is about bringing joy to folks, especially
elderly folks in a home like that, and sometimes you know,
real ones you don't get Little Nippy.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
I just realized what I'm going to get you for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
A robotic dog.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Now, we were talking about pets, and I just remember
an person.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Do you remember do you remember the chia pets?

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:56):
Yes, I'm getting you a Barack Obama chia pet for Chris.
