Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT. Kevin Flannagan joins us now
to talk about what's opening up in theaters this weekend. So, Kevin,
last weekend we had two horror films opening up, and
now we've got another one opening up. What are we
on some sort of horror trend here?
Speaker 2 (00:13):
You know, Hollywood is on is on to make money trend,
and they know you spend a little wi make it
and they always make a profit. So they're going to
make horror films JT. For the rest of the time
out there especially. They're small independent companies. But this was
called Together And just like the name says, this is
a supernatural body horror is what they call it because
this couple. So they go out to a cottage out
(00:35):
in the countryside. Okay, that's how I think all of
course start anymore, And they end up on a hike.
There's part two of horror stories. They end up in
a cave Part three. Somehow in the cave they get
cursed by something that now whenever they kiss or touch
their bodies start to merge. It's kind of a weird deal.
(00:55):
And that's where the word together comes from. And when
you know you and I know what God is doing together.
No Man Separate was kind of a spin off of
that whole concept. So this movie is about their bodies
trying to merge, them trying to keep them from merging,
or maybe she's not. They run into people who maybe
that's already happened to So it's a weird horror kind
of a you know, it's pretty creative for that genre,
(01:17):
but not one you and I are going to love.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
No thanks, here's a movie I'm going to take my
granddaughters too. The Bad Guy too, animated, fun for the
whole family. What's this all about?
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah, So if they like the Bad Guys, won, they'll
it wasn't obviously the first Bad Guys. They'll like the
Bad Guys too because it's the same characters. They're as
fun as ever. The adults can sit through it and
enjoy it as well. But in the first in the
Bad Guys movie, they got caught, they went to jail.
They're going to serve their time. They come out being
not probably good guys. They're trying to go straight. It
(01:47):
is really hard. But some folks who were kind of
enamored by their Bad Guys gig come and force them
to do one more bad job with them, and so
you get to see the bad guys doing the bad
guys stuff even when they don't don't want to. But
this is a very fun movie for the kids, for
the whole family.

All Right. Leslie Nilson was so good An Airplane and
The Naked Gun in all of those movies. Here's a
remake with Liam Neeson of The Naked Gun. So the
same plot line and everything.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Similar plot line. Liam Neeson plays Leslie Nelson's son, and
you know that's not I love Liam Neeson's movies, every
one of them. You know what's going to happen. They're predictable.
You know, if somebody's going to take him off, he's
going to need some talents he doesn't have rescued somebody
in this it's just not that guy. And uh, I
kind of miss that guy watching this one. But this
is the silly, goofy slapstick comedy, silly lines, you know,
(02:37):
the whole, the whole. You know, can I be frank
with you? No, You're not frank. It's all that goofy
kind of stuff. It's more of the same. And so
if you like The Naked Gun, you'll probably like this one.
It's a police story solving ridiculous crimes in ridiculous ways.
So that's that's what you can get in the Naked Gun. Hey,
there's something for everybody this week and at the theater,
so go have fun and enjoy the weekend
