I like your WVU had nice by the way, there

going to be doing the national show.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
So we'll be iHeart family here all week.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
There you go go.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah, good guys, Good guys. So big plans for you
for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Lots of family come to the house. We're in your
host n Yes, so we got about thirty people come
to the house. So it's preparation.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Have you got your Martha Stewart Apron ready to go?
Speaker 3 (01:10):
Do you?
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Are you the head chef?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
No, but we're making I think that we're making the
pumpkin pound Wednesday. The kids and I we're hearing that
for the big pumpkin pastor. This shows the big Bird
family member guys outside the house. My wife's aunt will
come in. Shall bring it in.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
She's an ex, she's a professional.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
That's exactly right. She knows what she's doing.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Look, I'm the same way. Leave it to the pros.
If there's people in the family. My son in law,
Chase McCain, I got to tell you he should be
on you know, the Cooking channel with his Food Network,
Grill Mastered, Grill and Michael's right there next to them,
So those two are going to be handling all the
all the goodies there.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Well, good, you got you leave it to the experts.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Yes, Paul, you heard New Orleans could be the next
stop for the DHS and ICE folks going down and
around up some bad guys and get him out of here.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
Yeah. I was in Memphis recently and they're in Memphis,
and it doesn't surprise me. New Orleans. I mean, the
crime in New Orleans has been horrible and some of
the crime victims. I was reading a story on the
New Orleans News website and they're like, they're just not
doing anything about it.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Well, it's run by a Democrat.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
They want National Guard to come in because it's just
gotten horrible. I mean, there's been several high profile incidents
in New Orleans, so kudos too, and the governor of
Louisiana is saying send them.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yeah, the state is a non sanctioned or a non
sanctuary state, but the city of New Orleans as left
as can be. So you know, they went to Memphis,
they went to Charlotte, and they've been in the South
quite a bit.
Speaker 1 (02:41):
I mean, why are they coming to Birmingham.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
Well, I mean there has been talk now since the
president was inaugurated and had these discussions about Montgomery and
Birmingham has been two locations to send national Guard, right,
and why if you had a situation where you could
have this happen. Why not? Now? Again, it's not the
end all be on. We still have to fix our
(03:04):
criminal justice system in our state that is failing crime victims.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
You have to fix people that are all about being
loose on sentencing, all loose about letting people out after
their you know, bond has been set on serious crimes.
All right, we're just gonna smack you on the wrist.
I know you killed somebody, but hey, how about eighteen months?
Will that work? I mean, that stuff's got to stop.
You've got to arrest people to commit the smaller crimes.
(03:29):
You can't tolerate the smaller ones. Who are we to
be mean? You know, we got to understand the criminal here.
You know, you got to get back to victims first,
you know, right, So, and you've got to have the
will to police from the mayor's office down to the
chief down to everybody involved. So and the judges and
the prosecutors.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
We know the problem. Lefties don't want to just jump
on this.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
So it has made a difference in places like Washington,
d C. In Memphis, and it could make a difference here.
But you have to have a long term plan in
our court system to really have a long term effect.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Well, you remember, like you said, the governor of New Orleans,
the mayor in d C actually thank President Trump after
the fact. Was a little pushback to begin with, but
when they came in anyway and cleaned up DC, the
residents were like, yes, thank you, thank you. And she
even came back and said, you know what, I got
to be honest with you. Crime's down because of that.
Speaker 3 (04:22):
So this whole defund the police, not have bond and
everything has created so many crime victims. And so let's
hope twenty twenty six seeds more positive news when it
comes to the criminal justice system.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
A little I'll be honest with you, worried about what's
going on in New York City. A lot of people
are canceling their trips. They don't feel safe going in there.
I know my sister lives in Connecticut, right across the border.
Her husband, my brother in law, works in New York City.
That's his territory and his business, and they've changed their
They used to love going to the city, not so much.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
No crime is skyrocketed in New York for the same reasons.
The week it's because a weak crime bill, no bond.
I mean look what happened in Chicago's same situation, that
poor woman that was burned. That guy had been arrested
seventy two times. I know, I know, I know, But
it happens here too. Don't think that Alabama. We have
folks who are arrested over and over and over and
get back out. So it happens right here in Alabama
(05:16):
as well.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Since you're here, I did want to get your thoughts
on the big game coming up Auburn Alabama Iron Bowl
was once again upon us here. So in a night game, Yes,
it's thirty it's in Auburn, So your thoughts on where this.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Game may end up.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I mean, I tell you Alabama should win based on
the seasons for both teams, but it's the Iron Ball, so.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Well he look, it's exactly right. Alabama is having the
better year, clearly, but it's the Iron Bowl and it's
a night game. Yeah, and anything can happen in Jordan Hair.
What did Nick Saban used to say about Jordan Hair?
Did he say it was I don't know, No, that's
LSU's David. It is hold.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
So you're going Bama.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
No, I'm going to go with Auburn. I mean, did
you see Auburn this past weekend.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Come on, yeah, I saw them. Who they play? Let
me look for you Mercer.
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Okay, come on, it's the Iron Bowl and I still
call we still call it the Iron Ball, Right, it's
still Ironbull. It doesn't matter that it's not for me.
It's gonna be a great game.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I'm going to Alabama. But you're right, I mean it
could surprise everybody. Mackenzie, what are you thinking?
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Look it's at Auburn.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I think that Auburn is gonna win.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
And you know, yeah, you went to Alabama.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I know.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
I mean I hope that we win.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Well, look, you're not alone. There's there's a bunch of
people thinking that Auburn's going en upset.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
How many times is Auburn supposed to win Alabama one?
How many times is Alabama supposed to win Auburn? I mean,
you know, it's always a tassa.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I'll tell you what. Let's let's have it. Let's let's
have it a little friendly bet. All right, you've never
had the Mackenzie I finally jumped into the pepperoni roles
in Morgantown, w Virginia. Don't just get any of them, though,
don't get these ones that are like, you know, look
like hot pockets wrapped in sullofate. Go to a place
where they actually make them right there, fresh dps.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
Okay, are you gonna bring some some pepperoni rolls back?
Speaker 2 (07:15):
Well, you're picking Auburn, Yes, okay, I'm taking Alabama. I'll
be there watching the game. Whoever wins, whoever loses the bet.
You got to order someone and have them shipped.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
I was gonna bring you a pumpkin pot. You can
bring if you're scared, just to no.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
Okay, all right, so we got we got a pe
pepperoni rolls.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
We're bringing West Virginia into the iron ball here.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
They are delicious.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
They are so tasty, all right, So it's either way
gets to taste the pepperoni rolls.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Still, I'm angry already.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I'm telling you these are just their their balls about
the size a little bit bigger than a golf ball
where they make them, and they're they're balls of dough
and inside is the pepperoni and the cheese. And then
they got the sprinkled monts Cirella in different cheeses.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Virginia, I mean, anybody, listen, your listeners anybody knows about
West Virginia. Pepperoni rolls version of biscuits and gravy and.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yes, and then some dipping sauce. So it's right up
here out.

rolls on the done deal, you know, And whenever you know,
