Speaker 1 (00:00):
In Alabama's Morning News.
Speaker 2 (00:01):
I'm JG joining US now Representative Barry Moore with some
pretty cool legislation going on here, as he introduced the
Why does the RS Need Guns?
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Act? I love this Berry, Welcome and thanks for being here.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
Hey, Jeff, thank you for having me on. Man, it's
an honor to talk with you.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Well, I can't imagine why they would need a gun.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
I mean, if the IRS has an issue with your taxes,
I mean, how about a little friendly knock. We're going
to be a phone call. We're going to be sitting
up an audit. Here's the deal. YadA, YadA, YadA. Why
not bring law enforcement with you if you think there's
going to be a problem. I'm kind of with you
on this. What started all this.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Well, it all started I think initially in the place
the Inflation Reduction Act, which everybody refers to as the IRA,
was passed by Pelosi, and it was going to hire
eighty seven thousand new RS agents, And in the meantime,
they were going to arm them with body armor, ammunition,
and weapons. And I can tell you from being on
the Judiciary Committee, the government does not need more weapons
(01:01):
to go after the American people and We've got it
set up in this bill where that rolls over the
criminal part. If there's a criminal issue with it goes
over to the DJ so then Pam Bondi and those
guys can take care of that. But we had just
I remember Matt Taibi, he was testifying n Judiciary Committee
about when Twitter Gate broke and when Matt Tabe was
(01:21):
a journalist, he was kind of honestly a Democrat, but
he was in there testifying the Judiciary Committee about what
they found on Twitter and some of the things that
were going on with the prior ownership. And while Tayibi
was testifying in Judiciary Committee, the f B, I mean,
the iras just randomly knocked on his door. And so
(01:41):
it was to send a message that we're here to
intimidate you. And the crazy thing is Jef Diress owed
him money. Now we've all been in business a long time,
but if dires never comes knocking when they owe you money,
the fact that they did that intimidate a witness who
was supposed to be a journalist to send a message
that you don't talk to the oversight comedian in Congress
(02:01):
because we will come knocking on your door. And that's
the sort of thing we saw. And so while on Earth,
would we arm these bureaucrats to come after the US
citizens and eighty seven thousand of them. The thing that
I know, and you know, if you talk to the
people in this country, especially in twenty twenty one, as
the Biden administration, as the election was still up in there,
nobody knew what was going on. We saw a weaponization
(02:24):
of the government. It was the EPA, it was the
FBI against pro life parents, Catholic church's school board, parents
just they're checking on their children. They were put on
watch list. And so those are the kind of things
that we don't need the federal government and the bureaucrats
are more power. We need the American people more powerful.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
Well, I got to tell you under the Biden administration,
and you ran a little list there of the things
that were going on here, and it's a lot more
than that. Christians were under attack. I mean women are
under attack now in sports. I mean it's just one
wave after another, tsunami, insanity. And now that the changement
your guard took place on Pennsylvania Avenue and people who
(03:00):
are heads are on fire. They can't stand it. On
the left and you can't do that. You can't deport
the illegals. What are you doing here? Get those Obama
judges over here, make him stop doing that. It's one
thing after another here. And you're right, I mean, have
the irs coming after you and showing up on your
doorstep with a holster loaded up for bear. And that's
(03:22):
a little intimidating, but that's what they were doing.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
You saw it, and you saw it with the FBI
the way they rated Trump's home and they ran that in.
They actually ran that raid from Washington, d C. That's unusual.
Usually the regional offices of the FBI will do these
sort of things. But during this time in twenty one,
as I was doing my town halls, the number one issue, Jeff,
where people were afraid of their own government, the very
government that we fund, the very government that we elect,
(03:48):
had lost its power in a sense that the elected
officials didn't have it. But the bureaucrats, and those bureaucrats
in DC, they've got a mindset will outlast Donald Trump,
will outlast Barry More, and we will be the perpetual
rulers and tyrants of this country. And where the American people,
I could fill it in the room. They were afraid
of their own government, and I you know, and that's
(04:08):
the sort of thing that we just got to make
sure that as the government wanted disarmed citizens. And we
saw that with ATF and those sort of things. Literally
they were arming their own IRIS agents. And I literally
brought a bill in one hundred and seventeenth Congress. I'm like, hey,
if you're going to arm these guys, let's send the
bureaucrats to the border. If you're gonna armrs IRS agents
instead of going after US citizens, what about we just
(04:28):
secure the southern border.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
And you know, obviously I didn't get an attraction with Pelosi,
But it's just the thing that we're sending message that,
you know what, we're gonna give the power of this
government back to the American people, and we're going to
divest that power from Washington, d c. And we're not
gonna have armed IRAS agents. The only thing those guys
need to be armed with the calculators.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, you j't want to mess with the IRS. That
seems to be the resounding message that the ir S
seems to have a little bit more power than even
the mob. I mean, don't mess.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
With you weapon yeah, I mean.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yeah, weaponis we saw it under Obama. Remember they and
I have business people that I have talked to, and
it's they as they started donating to the non left
or to the actually conservatives in the country, the e
p A, they would all of a sudden get an
environmental audit, they'd get an RS audit, a tax audit,
and an FB I would and it was all it
(05:20):
was all ran by these these tyrants or these I
guess you call them tyrants. I don't know what you
call them. The ruling class of w Wasthington disease, the
bureaucracy of state. They think they have a crown, my friend,
they don't think they And that's elected officials have to
protect the people. That's my job.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
All right, Let's talk about the act that you're proposing. Here,
are you getting cooperation? You're getting pushed back?
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Where is it?
Speaker 3 (05:43):
No? I think it's I think we're getting to give
a cooperation and and and Johnny ours is bringing it.
She's bringing she's the Senator, so she's bringing our companion Bill.
I think that it's common sense. And I think in
the process, as Eli Musk is pulling the veil back
on corruption, I think that this is just this is
an opportunity for us with the White House, the Senate,
and the House, that we can hopefully get this thing
(06:05):
into law and get it across the finish line. Yeah,
and I feel like President Trump will be with us
on this.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Well, Barry, I sure do appreciate the work you're doing there.
Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
And you're right, common sense needs to prevail a lot
more in this country. And I think it's, you know,
the tip of the iceberg on that happening.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
So thank you, Barry. We'll do it again soon, Thank you.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Hey. Thanks jesse Man
