Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joining us now.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Republican Strategists and also president of the Marathon Project Affairs,
Jannette Hoffman is with us. Jeanette, welcome in, Thanks for
being here.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Hey, Happy Friday, JT.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Thanks for having me absolutely and you too, and happy
yeah daylight saving time as well. Don't forget to spring forward?
Oh yeah, all right, all right, I gotta ask you.
I'm so glad you're on because what's happening with the
Democrat Party right now? Yet after the speech to the
Joint Session of Congress with Donald Trump and seeing mister
Caine Wilding gold handed guy get thrown out, and seeing

(00:32):
Democrats sit on their hands when they've talked about humanitarian
recognition of but a little boys fighting cancer, a young
high school guy that's been accepted to West Point, and
they're not budging with applause for any respect anything that
Donald Trump brought that night. And then they're following it
up by doubling down on these woe policies again, fighting
off immigration, you know, ice people coming in to get

(00:53):
rid of criminals, and the latest I don't know if
you've seen the cringe video of AOC and House Democrat
that has gone violent, the fighting stance I.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
Mean, are they use your fighter.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Trying to kill the party. I mean, it's just one
thing after another. They're not adjusting at all.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
It seems like that. I mean, I thought Tuesday night
was a new low for the Democratic Party and everything
you just listed, like they could not stand figuratively or
literally for any of the you know, moments of humanity
and that speech or the tremendously popular policies that Donald
Trump listed and the bingo paddles looked absolutely ridiculous, and

(01:37):
now they come out with this cringey TikTok choose your
Fighter video that is just completely laughable. I just don't
know who is behind this and what are they thinking?
And are they trying to kill the Democratic Party? I mean, look,
is it a Republican operative who's not being the mastermind?
Well this maybe I don't know, because it doesn't seem
possible that the Democratic Party could be this clueless at

(01:59):
this point in time. But I mean it turns out
they really are.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Well if they don't change their you know direction, or
change their you know videos, and swing a little bit
more moderate and really started addressing issues instead of doubling
down with all the socialists crap. They brought for the
last four years. I mean, it is going to be
a blood bath come midterms and the next presidential election.
So lately, I guess they've hired some new top executive

(02:25):
long history of pushing all these you know, racial grievances
and leftist ideology. Talk to me about Roger Loo. Is
that how you pronounce his name?

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Yeah? Yeah, so Roger law Listen. I don't know him personally,
but I know his background, and it doesn't seem like
they're turning the page and bringing anybody new into the
fold because Roger Lao his background is he worked for
Elizabeth Warren's twenty twenty campaign presidential campaign, so that was
not you know, a brilliant strategy going on there. And
then since then he has been at the Democratic National

(02:56):
Committee since twenty twenty one, so he's part of the inside.
He's part of all these bad decision Who knows, maybe
he's you know, coming up with the bad TikTok videos
and stunts that we're seeing. And he has a history
of saying, you know, just just really divisive language and
racial language and saying, you know, America is a racist country,
which is not what the Democratic Party should be doing.
It's not what Americans want to hear. The problem is

(03:17):
JT and you and I know this is not your
mom and Dad's Democratic Party of working class people. The
woke left has taken control of this party right now,
and that's why we're seeing you know, historic approval levels
have you know, hit the basement for the Democratic Party
right since the polling history. The Democratic Party is just

(03:38):
really unfavorable right now, and it's it's you know, we
see what happened in November, and they're going to continue
to lose until they focus on actual policies that American
people want instead of just protesting every single thing that
Donald Trump does. Yeah, you know, it seems like they're
professional protesters here.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Yeah, they're activists, that's all there. They don't give a
rip about the American people. It's all about their power
and daying in control. And you know, the money obviously
what's going on and how they enter Congress making two
hundred grand year and they leave making two hundred million,
which still baffles me. I want to get your thoughts
on this freshman response, This freshman Michigan Democrat, first time senator,

(04:17):
who did the speech after Donald Trump's the other night
Missus Slotkin Alyssa Slotkin. At first, she came off as like, okay,
right down the middle, she's more moderate, she's younger. Okay,
maybe maybe this is they brought her out to be
the new wave of what the Democratic Party is supposed
to be. And then she veers off into the same

(04:37):
kind of mantra once again that they're doubling down with
and Trump's gonna make you pay in every part of
your life. And it's like, okay, more the same. Are
they moving more moderate? What about the the aocs and
the where she to leaves of this party? And Elizabeth
Warren and you know Bernie Sanders. Well if you you

(05:00):
sense that what slot can coming out as the person
they picked that they're trying to make a move with
in this direction, or is it not going to fly?

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Well, I mean, I think Slockin is slightly more moderate
than an AOC and a Bernie and Elizabeth Warren. But
the problem is they have no policy solutions at all.
Everything is anti Trump, anti Trump, and it's like they're
just becoming protesters and activists without any solutions. So if
you're against Doge, what would you cut? Right? So you

(05:29):
know they're thirty six trillion dollars in debt that our
country is in. We have to streamline some of this
and cut some of the federal government spending. Otherwise, you know,
we're going down a really bad path of bankruptcy in
this nation. So if the Democrats are so opposed to
cutting the way Doge is doing it, right, because that's
what they say. They're not opposed to cutting spending, it's
just the way the Doge is doing it. And they
hate Elinemask and I hate Trump. So what are your solutions?

(05:52):
What would you cut? But they can't provide any alternatives
because they're so blinded by their hatred of Donald Trump.
All they want to do is post protest and be
its structs. But that's not what the American people elected
them to do as members of Congress. And I would
just also say, some of the policies that Trump talked
about in his speech are supported by eighty percent of
the country.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Amen.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
So how about why partisanship? What happened? You know, I'm
old enough to remember when Republicans in Congress dragged Bill
Clinton down the road of fiscal responsibility and balance the budget.
We used to have bipartisanship in this country. But Democrats
unfortunately are not interested in.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
That, which kind of takes me back to this hire
now that they brought this Roger Lou guy in, and
I mean he worked for Senator Elizabeth Warren. I mean,
it's it's groundhog day with them. They just keep repeating
and bugling down on the same things. I got to
tell you, there are smart people that rebrand companies and
rebrand celebrities that get in a hot mess. Okay, the

(06:48):
Democratic Party right now is in a hot mess. I
would hire somebody that's not politically motivated that is all
about rebranding a disaster and get them in the room
and say, all right, what have we got to do here?
The first thing I would do is say, you know,
we're not going to continue to do what we're doing here.
Let's go ahead and take a look at what the
country says about where we are. Okay, we need to

(07:10):
mirror that. We need some self awareness in here. Your
tone deaf people quit trying to say the same thing.
Expect America to swing back and go okay, well now
I get it. Let's go progressive.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
It's it's one hundred percent, and you know they need
to bring in like you said, somebody from the outside.
They can't keep bringing in the same old insiders if
they want to turn around the Titanic. Even Gavin Newsomb
who you know it obviously has his eyes on the presidency.
Understand how how far left their party is going, and
that's not where the American people want to go. So

(07:41):
you heard him the other day say, you know, he
supports keeping women in women's sports and not having biological
males play women's sports. Common sense thing, you would think,
But it needs these news because he's taking a lot
of that party's going. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, So yeah, I
would have to say, look at his record, he's his
record is not reflects what he's actually saying right now.

(08:01):
That's a whole nother story, because you know that guy
who changes, you know, his tone every every single day
depending on what the politics are. But it just reflects
the fact that the Democratic Party is not where the
mainstream of American voters are right.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Now, and they don't get it all right, Jeanette Hoffman,
great chatting with you.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
We'll have you back.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Enjoyed it.
