Speaker 1 (00:00):
Alabama's Morning News. I'm JT.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
One of my favorite people, obviously legendary comedian in a
rock and roll star. Now Roseanne bar Is here, good morning.
How are you welcome in Roseanne?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Thank you very much, Hi Alabama. I love it down
in Alabama.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Have you ever played the comedy club the stardom here?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
I probably did. I can't remember too much, but I
know I played in Alabama. Yeah, I probably did.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Plus yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
I mean, I've just followed your career from you know,
day one when you got going here and honored to
have you. And you've got a new documentary coming up here,
What's going on with Roseanne barr is America.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
That was a documentary made by Joel Gilbert, who's made
a lot of great documentaries, and he talked me into
doing it and said he would, you know, do a
good job for me. And I was very happy with
what he did, and I really like it. It's really good.
I get to explain my life and you know, explain uh,

(01:02):
you know, my point of view, and especially about how
I got famous, how I grew up Steph, I haven't
ever talked about before, and then what happened to me
at ABC. I get to explain my tweet, you know,
from my perspective, which is great because I was not
allowed to explain it anywhere. They make, you know, blacklisted

(01:26):
me off all media, all mainstream media, and start telling
everybody what I meant. But they didn't have any idea.
But you know, they had their own agenda, and they
got rid of me, I think because you know, they knew,
they knew what was coming, and they knew that I

(01:47):
would say something about it, so they found a way
to get rid of me. But everything I said was
true and happened, so you know, I feel vindicated. And
it's also the documentary is also about the death of
cancel culture, which I had a big hand in and
I'm very proud of.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Well, I got to ask you about the ABC thing.
I'm glad you brought that up. You know, they canceled
Tim Allen and all of a sudden he researched and
you know, boom, they get picked up again by another network.
Was there ever any discussion about you, you know, coming
back to the show.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Was John in favor of you coming back?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
I mean there must have been an odd spot for
him to be and I know he supports you and
the cancel culture was what it was, and you know,
I'm so glad this woke wave is finally dying off here.
But you know, was there any thought that you might
ever come back? Was there any desire by you or
any push from anybody on the cast or crew that said,
you know what, we blew it.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Here, let's get her back. No, it's awful. It's awful.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Nobody in Hollywood has the balls to stand up for
what's right. That's kind of what I figured. You know,
they're just I mean, they must have blackmail on everybody
keep them in line, and they're terrified that they might
lose a dollar. They don't have any moral backbone at all.
I think they don't believe in nothing except money. And uh,

(03:11):
you know, good on them. I have no bitterness towards
people like that. I don't want them in my life
or have anything to do with them. But that's the
majority of Hollywood. Do what they're told, and they're afraid.
They're afraid to stand up for anything because that might
make somebody mad. And it does make I mean, it

(03:35):
does make people mad when you're not doing what you're told. Well,
but I'm not a slave.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Yeah, I look, I completely support where you stand on
all of this, and you know how you handle all
of this as well. And you know when you see
the wave right now, Stephen Colbert shows canceled, Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel rather is that a complete jerk? He's probably next.
And you know, I think people are waking up in
this country. Uh. And you sound like you're done with Hollywood.

(04:02):
Do you anticipate any anything else you know, back into
Hollywood that brings you in a conservative light, as a
lot of people are now starting to stand up in
Hollywood that you know, are are with us in the
conservative world, and you know, the Angel Network and shows
that are popping up the kind of taking faith back
into this and conservatism back in this country. And you

(04:22):
see yourself maybe jumping on a bigger project in Hollywood
again that's in the other direction.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, I've seen myself. In fact, I'm working on it.
You know, I'll have my own platform with my own
show on it, and I have been working on that
for a long time. And I'm coming back with my
own show and it's going to be six episodes of
you know, a real funny sitcom and it's like nothing

(04:54):
nobody's ever seen. I'm very proud of it.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
When when can we see that?

Speaker 3 (04:59):
Yeah, I think my spring. We're just going into production
now and I have great partners and great people support me,
and you know, I'm very proud of the work and
i'm you know, just having a ball.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
That's great. Well, congratulations on that. I'm glad to hear that,
and I look forward to seeing it. And God bless you.
You know, once again one of your biggest fans, and
I appreciate you spending time with me this morning.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
Well, thank you very much. I enjoyed it.
